I'm the golfer these are aimed at and bought a set of these this year and love them. The sound when I strike them well is amazing. On the course, I trade out my five iron for a hybrid, but the five iron is so good, I'm often tempted to switch back. I don't because my 5H has about a dozen ways to get me out of trouble. The 6-iron through pitching wedge though are magic. I hit them farther and more consistently than my old irons, and the other 2024 releases I tried (Cobra darkspeed were a close second). I demoed a few other irons this season, but nothing triggered that happy spot in my brain like the Qi10s. And at my level of golf, that's the only thing that really matters.
I just bought a set of them last week looking for little more distance, as a senior golfer and find them excellent to hit playing off a 10 handicap I am extremely happy with them
It's sooooo interesting that you experience a lower ball flight. Almost everyone else including myself has experienced SUPER high launch angles with these things. And even though I also experience lower spin numbers it's simply not THAT low. I get about 65-6700 rpm's. The offset though is that the high launch angle makes most my shots stick the green. Golf is truly an amazing game. And everyone hits the ball differently
It could be the shaft was not a great match rather than the irons performance, it is why these reviews can mean nothing in many ways, you must try products for yourself 👍
I have the Qi irons in the bag (fitted 5 to AW). My fitter asked what i was looking for and my reply was as much help as technology can give me. I'm not daft, the lofts are stronger so i make the necessary club adjustments. Being a 20 hcp, the small loss of distance on off centre hits has been a game changer.
The city courses in Toronto Canada have the Taylormade Qis as rentals. Driver to Sand, with P and Gap also Qis and the Taylormade Spyder for putter. Amazing, took me one 18 hole round to get used to the distances. Scored 87, 82 and 80. The whole Qi lineup are amazing clubs. though I would recommend it for the golfer on the higher handicap 20+, though maybe of some use on the longer irons - 5 and 4 for the lower than 20 to maybe 10 handicap. I do not think I need Sand to 6 iron in the Qis, as I am a 14 handicap.
This is why I bought the cleveland zipcore XL to replace my callaway x14s. Essentially 1 whole club down. (8i = x14s 7i), and distances are essentially identical
Great looking irons, very attractive and perform well I’ve tried them out on local golf shop. But I’ll stick with my Mizuno 921 Hot Metals they are a dream set.
Good looking iron and not a bad price more than the Stealth and I found not a great difference. My spin rated 4735 and the 5 and 6 iron very strong ascent angle at 41/42 I like to see at least 45.
I think the telling issue is the difference between the carry and total distances on the 7i, it is not great at over 15 yards but I have seen a lot worse for example TMs M2 irons c.2017 which were, at least in my hands, incapable of stopping on summer greens - not even links summer greens. The problem is that the peak height is roughly what I would expect 80 ft for an 80 mph club head speed is fine as long as the spin is decent. With that level of spin I would want more peak height and therefore a steeper descent angle. IMO there are better options out there
I wish though that manufacturers would not tie iron set names to their wood releases. They seem to lose disproportionate value once we are into a new product lineup release.
@@TheAverageGolfer That’s what I would have thought. Haven’t hit these TMs but I did hit the XPs a week ago. They were awesome. My buddy ordered a set!
Loving the videos! I just bought a Cleveland Hy-wood in part based on your video. I am thinking about picking up a set up the halo launcher irons but they are a bit pricey. Do you have any other recommendations of hybrid irons that are out there? I tend to chunk my irons and really have taken to the hybrids but I need more consistent from 145 to 120. I would love to get some lessons but they are basically booked up tell the end of the season.
So I'm 56 , and over years of working swing speed not the best , so the question is what is your average swing speed. P.S. I enjoy your videos the most.
Are you going to try the new Gen 7 PXG XPs ? ...they are definitely on my radar ..I have swing speed similar to yours so will be interested to hear your thoughts
I love watching your channel, but can you do one thing the others dont do, when you tst clubs could you talk about the shafts and not just the heads. I do not understand any of the so called date and to be honest, i dont care. Living in Australia the only clubs i want i cant afford and thats the PXG. There is no where here to test them out.

I have the QiHL. Best irons I’ve ever used overall. Soooooo easy to hit, launch, forgiving, consistent flights and spin numbers

they look very smart the irons and the sound when you hit them is sweet

Been considering these irons as my first set of custom fit irons as well, giving me things to think about now. Another great video 👍🏻
Be good to test for yourself and see how they perform
Its about time that manufactures just put the loft on the club rather than iron numbers..7 iron at 28° is nearly a 5 iron in reality
Good idea 👍
When i match up my ballspeed and launch/distance to the 7 iron innthis test, its virtually the same as my 5 irons on the toptracer data.
Loft numbers aren’t secret and are easy to find
@@paulmcgee1867 ive an old set of bridgestone xtour irons and cannot find specs anywhere.

When I got fitted, I bought the QI 10 high launch, which seems would solve all of your complaints. I’m extremely happy with the clubs.
That makes sense Martin
Insightful review as ever - buy after testing and fitting, cannot go wrong then

Nice to get some feedback from someone who has tried them
The Qi10’s look like the Stealths I bought early last year. I love my Stealths, so they are recommended by me.
Always appreciate your honesty Andy. Another informative video. Smash that like button 👇

Yep I’d have to agree
Just get the Stealth irons and save some $ if that's what works for a player.
Yes I’d agree
good review I am trying to decide now between the PXG Black Ops or the Qi10 HL irons any thoughts anyone ? thx cheers from Canada
I understand that they have a HL version with different shafts
will you be reviewing the PXG Black Ops irons ? they are on my radar and also the Wilson Dynapower Forged cheers from Canada
Yes coming soon

Great video as always. How would you compare these to the Gen7 PXG 0311 XP’s???
Not even close, the XPs are incredible

I filmed a video using a full set of hybrids made by the brand Eleven
unpopular opinion, but im not a fan of the Qi10 line? these arent too different looking to the stealth iron?
