    Hi everyone, so I've had a few similar questions asked in this comment section and just wanted to answer everyone here. For the people who have subscribed to me thank you so much 😁 this video was not sponsored by IKEA unfortunately.
    So this nano flat is located in Causeway Bay (Hong Kong Island) . HK island is more expensive so for the price $7000(hkd) per month... Its actually not that bad. Yes this place is tiny but HK is also quite cramp. I already knew this before moving to HK to settle down. I am living in Causeway Bay because its extremely convenient. Meaning I don't have to travel 2hrs to work or pay more for transport. In the end I'm actually saving (but everyone has their preferences).
    As some of you know my plan is to buy a place, hence I'm just living here to save up. 7k for 2 people is pretty reasonable. Size for short term is manageable if you're a easy going kind of person 😂
    As for the glass door, seeming as im moving soon I decided not to cover it up. But it is a good idea for anyone who has glass within their house. So thanks for the suggestion!
    Because this is a small place it is easy to get wet and humid during the summer so make sure to buy loads of dehumidifiers and air freshener 😂
    Any other questions, please comment down here 👇 thanks!! ❤️

    You probably can apply a removable film to the glass door to make it opaque. It's relatively cheaper than replacing the door. And when you return the apartment, it's easy to remove. I believe the film is used by graphic designers to make signs and/or car enthusiast to apply to cars.

      Certainly in this country (UK) you could get films that would be a solid colour too, or 'stained glass' or various patterns - whatever you want really. Completely removable and you can choose whatever suits you.

    Loved your design ideas, the reason it makes the room spacious is the illusion of light play and being organized. Ceiling lights and cabinet lighting helps breaks the monotonous layout of the room, I advised you try warm yellow/orange lighting specifically on your bedroom to set the mood and help with sleeping and avoid any blue lighting at all!

    You can try getting a dehumidifier machine to help reduce the humidity in that small space.
    Dehumidifier rods from Olee placed in your wardrobe keeps all your clothes dry, crisp and fresh . No molds , no smell.

      try to live like this for a year, you will not say something like this.
      This kind of "home" is inhuman and ridiculous, don't beautify this... noone wanna live like this and a rich society shouldn't let this happen.

    • @KiekoM
      @KiekoM  3 года назад +9

      We have been living here for over half a year now and are totally fine with it.
      Not sure if you know that Hong Kong is as mentioned "one of the most densely populated city's in the world" hence its impossible to create large houses or bigger apartments like in the West. Ofc a large house would be nice~ but if its not an option you either move to another country or stay where you are and appreciate it as much as you can. It's all about changing perspective and appreciating the small things in life.

  • @wolfy1
    @wolfy1 3 года назад +1

    I have a full window in my front door. I wanted a curtain without drilling holes so I used little plastic hooks with a sticky backing on the door then I sewed little plastic rings into some fabric to make a curtain. You could probably do something like that to get privacy in your bathroom. You might also be able to search for a suction cup curtain rod or suction cup curtain. I'm sure there's a way to make that glass bathroom door more private.

    • @KiekoM
      @KiekoM  3 года назад +1

      Yeah~ meanwhile I've stuck some fabric on with blue tack until I can get something else 😂
      Wondering if the privacy film other people are talking about can block out light too 🤔

    • @wolfy1

I pay equivalent HK$18000 for rent in my city, and you have convinced me that I should probably save some money by living in a more affordable house. 2). make sure you remind people to Like, subscribe, and click on the Notification bell on every single one of your video, because people forget.

    It seems like windows in HG apartments are rarely transparent, why so?

    Why dont you shift back to Singapore? The housing in Singapore is much more affordable, quality of life and living condition is better as compared to Hong Kong.

      For this room size in HK Island it will be around 6000-7000hkd. It might be cheaper on the Kowloon side~

    One question haunted me the whole video- how did you squeeze that mattress in there ?!?

      😂 The matress from IKEA was already rolled up and flattened, so all we had to do was deflate it for 2 hrs or something? I think it can still fit through the door though. It's a small double size.

    Actually, the glass toilet door is quite cool..... Naturally, no privacy, but under the circumstances.... No choice.
