Hey Mel, thanks for your room tour. I think it would be nice if you went into more detail about the other random things you have - for example what you have on your kitchenette counter.
Loved this video 🥰 thank you for sharing. You have such a lovely calming voice. I remember your first minimalism video’s and loved those too. Looks like you deleted them though 😭 They used to give me asmr vibes.
Thanks for your support Kelly!! I’m really glad you enjoy the new content too. (I deleted the old videos a while back because I suddenly got self-conscious, 😅 so now I’ve gotta start over)

Ur home is so cool, everything is so good, specially got washing machine, the shower 🚿 that this kind of separate design is very seldom at Hk. I do really hopes can rent such good hse as yours. Wish u always happy & healthy
Interesting. Mel, did you know that bedrooms began getting smaller (and houses, in general) the less time ppl began spending in them? This began occurring prior to the turn of the century. The implication is that, at some point, ppl spent significant amounts of time(past sleeping) in their rooms… lifestyle implications, as well…spending patterns, eating habits, social contact, everything…
Thanks for this video! Can I ask how you found this place? Was it through estate agents? I’m planning to move to HK so would appreciate you sharing your experience with the search process, it looks like you managed to land a really nice place!
I used a facebook group called "HONG KONG RENT". Most of the listings on there are posted by agents. If you see a place you like, send a message, and usually an agent will reply pretty quickly. I'd suggest going for viewings during the daytime to see how much natural light there is. I made the mistake of viewing this room at night, and didn't realize how little sunlight it gets. You really have to pay attention to details and look out for yourself because most agents want to rush and close the deal. Also, it appears that the HK rental market has struggled a bit over the past 1-2 years (people moving away), so you probably have the upper hand right now for any negotiations. :) The standard practice for renting is paying 1/2 months rent to the agent as commission (unless otherwise stated), 2 months rent deposit to the landlord (returned to you when you leave), and also sign the lease for a minimum of 1 year. Thank you for watching!!
This is interesting, because I also pay 1.000.- (Euro) a month for my apartment in Germany. Well, what can I say (in comparison), yours is smaller, but much more tasteful than mine :-)
Can I ask the location of the room? It looks tiny but is definitely well equipped and has everything you need! Not too bad considering living in hk I’d say
The window opens, but the airflow is poor and there's no view or sunlight, so it actually feels better just to leave it shut! Noise can be heard from neighbours in the other rooms occasionally, but overall everyone has been really considerate so it hasn't been much of a problem :)
It would be, Nice to have a window, to look out and fresh air. I’ve lived in an apt. This size in the states but it was a hundred bucks, and a roommate.
very nice one! kitchenette is compact but all it is we need!! counter wall is steel. eazy cleaning!!! restroom is considered big for a samll room! yes, the only thing is the window(s) seems no daylight or sun?!
Somehow it doesn't feel small. I love how uncluttered it is. I am starting a decluttering project at home and this is very inspiring
I hope your home decluttering project goes well! It's great to hear that you enjoyed this video. :)
I love how clean it is. I see so many of these on RUclips that are filled with trash. You can live small and be clean.
Thank you! Yes, cleanliness is so important.
I finally found a realistic room/apartment tour waaa
Yay! Thank you!!

Wouldn't mind a place like this tbh, in HK or not! Bigger window would be good though

It's inside one of the older buildings located in North Point. I agree, it's not bad for a subdivided flat in HK!
your flat is so clean lucky you
Thanks! Luckily this room was newly renovated right before I moved in.
Does the window over your bed open? Does it look out onto anything? Can you hear the neighbors through the walls?

Wow! At 1/10th of the price, your apartment sounds like a much better deal. Way to go.
@@melkiway well, it was not very beautiful
love it!
miss HK very much❣️🙏
Where do you keep your winter clothes and your luggage?
I usually keep them in the under-bed storage space! 😊

Yes, overall I'm quite happy with the layout. You're right about the windows; there's no sunlight coming through!
Can become clastophobic..best to stay outdoors, be home only for sleeping!
What is the nearest MTR ?
Ur beautiful 🤩🤩🤩❤️❤️❤️
I live in a similar unit too
But I have bright sunlight due to big windows
You're so fortunate to have bright sunlight in your unit! :)
@@melkiway But there’s no washing machine 😂
Need to go out every weekend and stand in the queue
I live in Mong Kok by the way
1000 $ dollar is that us dollars or honkong dollars ?
$1000 US dollars!
The roomba confuses me lol.
