in sega rotation games (including arika rotation; tetris the grand master) t-spins become something necessary for survival rather than point bonuses, especially at higher speeds (and 20g in the TGM games). irrc (been a minute) tgm 3 in classic mode, not world mode, displays that you got a t-spin but doesn't reward you.
Jotaro Kujo well yeah, only like 1 since most popular games are either a horror game with 3B visits that has 10% creativity and 90% is inspired by something like spongebob or peppa pig, or is a decent shooter game, but my computer isn’t good with a shooter game with more than like 10 things happening lol
Cool detail is that each image on the slots matched the lines you make 1 is strawberry 2 is cherry which come in a pair 3 is a bunch of bananas that come in 3 And 4 is a crown with 4 protrudes on it
Well... it's me again. I think it's nonly now that I can fully take in the 90's weirdness in this game to fully appreciate it. Sega Tetris, as weird as it looks, is actually a really fun game on the inside with lots of weird and cool mechanics no other game has, so I think it's neat that you've recorded multiple playthroughs to upload on RUclips.
And a year later I again visit this video, wow, me again after four years. I think i’ve only come to appreciate this game more now, because of the wacky design choices for everything, and how obscure this game is (more so because of how freakish this game can look, but in a good way)
The Sega ones are definitely amongst the hardest in the series. Its predecessor (which is very similar to this one) released in 1988 was so popular (especially in Japan and East Asia) that some gameplay features were reused in other Tetris games such as Tetris S, Puyo Puyo Tetris (another game released by Sega) and even Tetris: The Grand Master.
TGM was based on the original Sega Tetris (late 80s), so ig it went full circle lol Stuff like playing during credits with cruelly short lock delay/ARE is a TGM moment for sure
I would say, just play safe, extremely safe. This Sega rotation system in particular is a nightmare at high speeds and short lock down. Even for me. That's why I didn't actively play for back-to-back-to-back clears at endgame, it's really hard to recover from mistakes.
Thanks! The problem is, I don’t think I can even *tap the movement keys fast enough.* I figured out that holding a key to move a piece in one direction ends up where a delay stops from being too slippery, yet that same delay makes the countdown _way_ more difficult.
just so you know, the real objective during 16-17 is to abuse your knowledge of the famous poweron pattern for sega tetris to get bravos. :) this is how you get the special bonus.
@@Therm6000 ruclips.net/video/6aewfR1PTIA/видео.html is the video that shows what you are supposed to do. :) Every all clear gets you 2 million points. he got 17 of them. And turns out the special bonus is for the segaish task of not using clockwise rotation at all and surviving the credits. And yes, if you do exactly what's done in that video, you can replicate it, since the pattern is fixed at that point.

I love how that monkey adjusts its aim depending on how high the cleared line is, that's a nice attention to detail right here.
1:09 I find it awesome how you went for the T spin even though it’s not rewarded in this game like it is in newer games. Gotta love the style!

Tetris Effect at home:
Ironic since its an arcade game
That would be TGM3

Since it's a Naomi arcade game, it was ported easily.

... I don't like how the pieces sound like a hammer and anvil. Is that just me?
Yeah, like a blacksmith hammering hot iron right? xD
It does get annoying after a while. But I saw what they were going for
It's probably so that you can hear your moves over the top of the arcade ambiance.
It's not just you! I just came here to grab a link and show a friend how grating these sound effects are.
The bowling alley screen when u get a strike
Nah, this is still not bowling alley screen worthy.
Blox the Memer sadness noises
Jotaro Kujo this game might seem weird but the animation is pretty decent compared to other things I’ve seen

What is it with Tetris arcade games and monkeys that look like they want to steal your soul
And almost half the score is from that Triple Tetris in mid-countdown. ))

look up the piece sequence. You get a special bonus for each all clear you make. You are SUPPOSED to cheat and plan out how to survive it.
did that triple Tetris at the end just double your score

This game just oozes with japanese.
Hope you can come back sometime and break the 400 line mark.
I did not even know this game existed
I wouldn’t blame you for not immediately knowing of an obscure arcade machine exclusive to Japan in 1999, especially if you are young
Yea I am young, and yes I like to delve into obscurity
@@96blocks It's not exclusive to Japan. It was release in Pal region at least. We used to play it in Switzerland.
The license for Tetris is more exclusive and locked up in America. In Japan there are way more Tetris games.
8:35 Ah yes, the Y2K zone
I refuse to think that this thing involved with tetris
its not, this is a different tetris sega made
Why do the Tetris pieces sound like metal
Ah yes monke
Where can I download this game image?
This is the most difficult tetris game i have ever played.
What does it look like when it reaches 33 seconds?
God. The sound of the pieces is fucking horrible. Congratulations for being able to handle that
最後にスタッフロールをゲーム中に流すのはプレイヤーの集中力が削がれそう
What difficulty is this may I ask?
Guessing normal or easy (easy lets you restart, normal locks you out when you top out) and not the hard or joint mode or whatever
coming back to this to give the answer, really difficult in practice
