[WR] Feeding Frenzy Any% RTA Speedrun -

A speedrun of Feeding Frenzy in the Any% category. Played on August 31st, 2023. The delta in splits is compared to my previous PB. This will definitely be retimed since my timer started a little before getting control on Small Fish Small Pond and ended a little after the "Stage Clear!" banner on Shark King.

in feeding frenzy 1, playing in time attack mode prevents the mermaid from spawning, making that mode faster than the normal story mode

at top level they're all but mandatory, and if / when i break the record again, they'll essentially become mandatory

it's a glitch. i have another video on my channel showcasing it further. it doesn't really provide much benefit to speedruns outside of removing giant fish from play, but it looks funny

@@UDUC i dont rlly play ff1 ever since i was a kid, but looking at the vid, i assume you eat something else nearby, then use the eating sequence to eat the barracuda at the same time?

@@havel6060 that's a good hypothesis! i don't think the game works like that, though. i have another video on my channel talking about the tail bite glitch, and i don't think it really works that way. however, i don't really have a better explanation, so you could be right and we simply don't know yet.

yes, i believe it is! it requires a lot of luck and a lot of skill, but i think it is possible.
