I'm traumatized. Just completed this trail in 6 hours! I fell and cartwheeled 25 feet into the stream. Hit my head a handful of times. I'm 5’6 so everything is magnified. My confidence is shot after this ride. Some sections are so narrow. My handlebar smacked the trees often. The pegs and my boots get bashed constantly. I'm 53 too old for this shit.
damn, that trail has gotten gnarly. I haven't ridden there in a long time. The trail wasn't so rocky then but slow going still in areas where both my brother's bike and mine were pissin' steam.
Nice video. Have you every took the Devil’s Thumb trail at around the halfway point? I think it close to a 2,000 ft drop to a suspension bride. It’s pretty gnarly too.
Is OHV the Ohio Valley trails? It looks like your in the Ohio valley with all the hills but I’ve never seen anything resembling the trails your on unless your not exactly by me in location.
There's a few dirt/gravel roads in the sugar pine/forresthill OHV area. Finning Mill Road is pretty smooth and only a mile or so from the Sugar Pine Staging area. Or take any of the other non paved roads you can find on the map. Just stay off the paved roads. www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_MEDIA/stelprdb5301105.pdf
There’s a Ranger Station in Foresthill on the way in that has maps that show the forest roads. Sometimes I will carry a tube patch kit, but if the stem is torn you’re out of luck. I always carry large zip ties. They don’t weigh much and you can put them around your flat tire to keep it on the rim to get you out.
That happened to a couple of riders I know a couple of years ago. The 300 died at about the 6:10 mark in the video that’s about the halfway mark. The two of them had to get out on one bike, and then I had to piggyback the guy who left his bike the next day. Watch the first 6 minutes and imagine having someone on the back. It was a 300 with Brimbo Brakes, but was pretty scary in some places like coming down to that first bridge. But I love that place. Usually ride it clockwise.
Yes, but I would not ride trail #6 alone. In general I personally never try to ride alone. Its easy to find people to ride with, with Social media. Best of luck👍
I've rode 6 it wasnt all that fun I was out of shape and hadn't been on the bike for almost a year . In my prime I think it would have been much more fun . I'm just old and fat now and it sucks lol
@@mattrides707 Im getting there . I'll be back out there on my new to me KTM rippin it up again any day . I'm ready to do some of that Joe Rogan TRT to get some of that youthfullness back .lol.

I love Foresthill, I was just there today with my kid, but this trail is way beyond my skill level
Damn you got some balls for riding that 👍
Some of that looked gnarly
80% knarly....no time to relax on this one. Best to bring a change of underwear if you are over sixty. lol
Nice ride with some excellent single track and very cool sign behind you - so true! Cheers!
No clue why I've never ridden forest Hill looks killer man
OMG. Some of the switch-back turns are scary.
I don’t understand how you remember to get out of there, lol. Beautiful footage.
Matt. Cole. Can. Ride.
Straight beast every time he throws a leg over that 300
Bro great video !! I was just up there last week. Home sweet home.
Solid ! Gopros dont do these trails justice. Thats some good stuff there ...
Thanks man! I'd have to agree.... the GoPro does not do this trail justice!
Well done man !

I love trail six just don't ride it alone.... Great video but no video does it justice...good stuff!
Sweet trail. I did not expect a bridge crossing.
I subscribed. look forward to your next video!
Oh hell no..
Thanks for showing us this trail though as there is no way I'd be able to ride that.
Nice area! I'll have to check out that part of my backyard 👍👍
Gotta love this stuff man!
The golden states trail is there. Scary. I believe it forks off 6. Ends up at the bottom of kitty hawk road. Well hill it's dirt and steep
8:15 I think he put his back tire on the log and cuts it in half 😄

I've ridden that part of it. Fun, tons of switchbacks though
sweet video!

The trail is at Foresthill in Nor Cal
daaaaym!
Is six more difficult than five
Doesn’t trail 6 go to China wall
Are you going clockwise or counterclockwise on this trail?
this is part of china wall right? that’s trail 6?
man thats a fun looking trail I gotta get my ass over there
Gnarliest 18 mile loop I’ve ever done. Tried it both ways. Clockwise is harder 😮
That's awesome! We hit it both ways in the same day one time. That was a ride!
Are there any logging roads around there where there's some flat dirt i can ride on? Im not big on trail riding and im new to the sport. Im from Sac.

Try prairie city its super beginner friendly, lots of easy flat trails and roads.

Didn't show the abandoned, seized up husky on the side of the cliff past the bridge...
Is it still there a vid would be great!
Lol!!
Absolutely insane...
Are there good trails for quads in that area?
No. Only single track not yet ruined by quads. Go to Pismo.
Scariest single track yet
How do you get your bike out if it dies?

@@jeffswanson5097 I was thinking a rider could have a tool kit, a nylon pull, or have a tow rope so another rider can tow you out.
@@jeffswanson5097 I'm also thinking people have made trailers for motorcycles. You could have a mono trailer to tow another bike out with ...
tree killed the bridge for now
Nice work on the tree. Are any of the trails out there safe to ride alone in your opinion?
Yes, but I would not ride trail #6 alone. In general I personally never try to ride alone. Its easy to find people to ride with, with Social media. Best of luck👍
