@@enduro.station the hill climbs you post are amazing! I never was a top notice MX racer (had a friend go pro tho, like the real deal/factory) because I am just big, football linebacker big. But I loved to climb. Dating me, my two favorite platforms were the 83' CR 480 and the 85' CR500, slightly modded if course; ported and polished, welded HYGGE pipes, big ol swing arms and of course, the hilarious Answer Roost, do nothing, Boost can. Good times being "on the pipe". 🙂
I can’t understand why the extended rear end and power are optimised for hill climbing but the front end is optimised for normal level trail riding… There is 50+cm of travel available on the front shocks but only 10cm actually used and the handle bars sit up proud of the top. Both these inexplicable design features causes the rider to sit further upright which means more mechanical advantage over the front when going up steep inclines (more likely to flip). Have the body as close as possible to the line of the terrain gives the best results from an engineering perspective so shortening front shocks right down and lowering the handle bars would bring the body closer to the line of the bike and therefore reduce the tendency of the bike to flip on the steeper parts. But all I see is a front end optimised for normal trail riding…incomprehensible to me…
That’s a valid point! Without a proper launch and with tight turns, the climb becomes even more challenging. It’s definitely a tough course that tests every skill. Thanks for sharing your insight!
Definitely an intense sport to watch! The front springs and suspension play a huge role in maintaining control over those bumps and rough terrain. It’s not just about engine power-suspension and rider control are crucial for handling these challenges!
If you had to choose one or the other ! Doing hillclimbs for Fun , or learning Ballet , try Ballet first , ride that bike like a Dancer , Skäl ! I’d laugh my ass off , if Guy in a Unitard went full climb , how confident are ? Unitard confident ! That’s committed
GEE, what fun! What does it say that (essentially) NO ONE makes it to the top? Who is dumber.. the promoters who set up this impossible fiasco, or the racers who spent all that money to prepare?
What's the idea of the long wheelbase and the fat back wheel? Is that meant to be better for hill climbs? I'd have thought you want a standard dirt bike wheelbase and normal knobbly dirt tyres. That's what they're designed for. These long wheelbase bikes are far too heavy to get up that hill.
Check out the world’s hardest hill climb race!

the guy falling at the bottom of the hill, and the guy holding to the bike as it's lifted with the crane, are national heros.
Looks like so much fun! :)
My toxic trait is thinking I could make it up on my stock 450
your not alone friend!! we will either be good, or be good at it!
Nothing toxic about delusional self belief brother.
It's all down to the rider! Maybe a bit of the machine. But it won't do it by It's self lol 😆
I was thinking the same thing but with my old XL 600. How hard can it be. 😂
2wd electric trialbike won the race. :-)
The hanging man is a genius.
Those crazy dudes are putting gigantic engines into those things
Awesome video
Thank you :)
You don't pick the line, it picks you.😂

I wondered how much was control vs luck . And the right bike .... crazy skills .
Using a yarder and sky car is genius
”3ème candidate féminine aujourd’hui” 😂😂😂 a 5:59
That’s a great idea, using a skyline and log carrage to bring the bikes up the hill, or down.
It was very helpful for both the rider and the helpers. That track is actually a ski track, with a cable system used for winter sports.
Maybe they should use it to transport the riders up the hill, or down. It might be easier.
What kind of engine do these bikes have?
It mostly depends on the rider, but I've seen both KTM 990 LC8 and KTM 1290 engines in use.
I liked the part where the dude rode the motorcycle up the muddy hill. Very vroom.
No downshift, never!
good video clip at the beginning. I also shot two video clips about motocross and posted them on my channel.
Gotta stay on the pegs no mater what. Guys that make it stay on the pegs
Thank you
Thank you for watching:)
Super
Thanks
So how far up that hill would a good rider with just a normal 450mx bike and standard length swing arm get on that hill in comparison
@hung8969 thank you sir ,you just can't tell by looking at the video how steep it actually is..
You can't compete. A minimum displacement of 600 CC is required
Yeah if your just half the riders these girls are
The first rider on the green bike running way too "rich" 😂😂😂😂😂
That was really good bike :) I really like 2stroke sound
The conditions are very impossible😉
@@stoniemahonie1983 look can possible but it was hard🙂
Bogging and lowsiding Under the bike?!?

No launch runway....got to turn with no acceleration prior....no wonder so many failed.....course designers cheated top hill climbers!

If at least somebody made it to the finish line the track is legit!
Percebi o mesmo. O grande obstáculo é a curva logo antes da subida, forçando o piloto a reduzir a aceleração. Bem bolado esse truque 😊
Personne n’arrive au sommet ?
You couldn't pay me enough to try it.
😂
Funny sport to see, but they all loose on the front springs. Not the engine power it seems. Just loose control of the bike, by the bumps

low throttle
It's not very clear from the video how steep it was, but it was difficult even to hold the camera while standing.
Videos never do hills justice. To think that even with an extended swing arm they still loop just proves how steep this hill is.
Gearing was too high for the mud.
@@francikaa1Most of them were in 1st gear, even though they don't have a gear lever. They can't change gears after starting.

😂 Great point! Mastering hill climbs is definitely like dancing with their bike-precision and control are key. Thanks for the fun comparison!
me and thomas know what to do how how to do
Great! We’re looking forward to seeing you and Thomas next year :)
They fail when they let the revs fall. Keep the revs high 👍🏼
My granny’s Jazzy scooter could make it up that little hill

If your any kind of rider I'm sure you would have no problem with that hill. These riders don't know how to even ride a bike. They are pathetic 😂
Have some fucking fun cunt
I could climb that…on foot 😂
Totally pointless sporting event, but impossible to not watch it.....
:)
These type of bikes handle terribly, are heavy, and do not climb hills well. Why do they keep using them?

Why would you think you know better than the pros? The bikes are purpose built, for good reason
I've never seen so many scared riders in my life then they fall over and act like their hurt. Lmao this must be a woman's sport.
Terable video
I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the video. I appreciate the feedback-let me know if there’s something specific you think could be improved!
I could Knock this hill out no problem on my 85 ATC250R… in my dreams
