I made over a small dark bedroom into my dedicated home office and bit the White Dove bullet. So glad I did. Luminous is definitely the right word. It’s soft and light in natural light and by artificial light. Highly recommended.
For Simply White, I have read on blogs that Simply White on kitchen cabinets can clash with the cool undertones in quartz countertops and/or white kitchen appliances, which tend to be cooler whites. What is your take on that idea? I would appreciate hearing your thoughts. (I’m strongly considering my dad’s kitchen cabinets white since it is a dark space.) Great video!!
Wow, your channel is amazing! It is so informative, and easy to watch. It also gives me more direction and confidence with the daunting decision of choosing the right paint color.
I used Caliente on a large basement room wall as an accent and then used Hush on the surrounding walls. It was perfection. Presently working on a library/home office in Hunter Green and Oxford white.

Great selections, thank you. You’ve given me quite a few ideas about white paints. I had a colorist come to my home about 20 years ago and he suggested I use Navaho white in my living room. I loved it in the beginning but painted it over with a darker color. I’m ready to redo my whole house again. I love your selections of the different whites and grays. I’m going to the paint store tomorrow to see if I can buy some paint samples to try them on the walls. I’m planning on selling my home in a couple of years and want to have my house ready to sell using neutral colors.

I’ve always loved grays .... and lived with them for the past ten years (two houses). Now I have a new house, and need to repaint. The previous owners have it painted a dark, warm gray and I realize I need a change from gray - but after so many years of grays it hard to know where to go next! I’m not ready for browns and beiges. There may be a lot of people like me, who feel the need for change but are just kind of stuck.
Happy to have found your channel. I have always wondered about what makes paints tick. I mean simply whites look so different. Of course it comes out of with what they are tinted. Never much gave it thought. Like I have this little kitchen that needs to be painted at some point. Always wondered why it felt so dark even when it is white. Now I know, and searching for the white will be now more fun and I will be able to get the exact look and feel that I want, with a simple jar of white paint! And most importantly, now I realisz it is possible. I have been putting off the project for years, because was thinking there would be no real change but it would look just a bit fresher if I just repainted it with white. Thank you very much for brightening up my views about paints!

I believe it to be good! Personally, I tend to favour a satin finish on cabinets, but semi gloss should add a tad extra washability, if that's a priority for you!
I am going to use White Dove on my cabinets and walls. Should I use 1/2 the formula for trim or just do the full formula in a different sheen. I would use ulti-mat on the walls and satin on trim. I also want to do some applied moldings on walls. What sheen would you use on those walls? Colour for ceiling? White Dove 1/2 formula?
I painted years ago all my trim in Glidden Ripoln ( white) and I know you can’t get it anymore but what would be out there that’s the same? I would love to see a review of Sheep's Wool. What white trim can you pair this with? Thank you for all your reviews. I enjoy them all.
Happy New Year. Could you go over Historic colors for interior
Can do! Any ones you were looking at in particular?
@@thepaintpeople I’m looking into what would look nice with dark wood trim and floors. Thanks
agreed! it is so different trying to find the right paint color with dark trim when all the examples you see are against white trim!
Yes, please.
Off white, light grey, light grey, off white, off white, off white, ultra pale green, off white, light grey, classic grey, light grey, off white, off white, light grey, off white, off white, light grey, light grey, light beige, off white, light grey, off white...

Pale oak walls with Shadow on accent wall in a Living room. Yes or no please?
This is my go-to for all things paint - this guy is really good
Any nice blue toned cool whites? I don’t really love warmth in paint (we just bought a Shaker beige house and I hate it)
I used the old sw formula for " ballet slipper" and love it. Nice light blue.
I am new to your channel in the past couple of days. I love your inspiration and fun opinions!!! Love the Hale Navy and Palladian Blue in this video. But I have a lot of Golden Oak in flooring and trim....not sure how it will work.
Try sampling it. It might work
Did we miss Aegean Teal? 🖌
Just missed our list, but it's clearly at the top of Benjamin Moore's! :)
Very informative!!
Could you review Benjamin Moore
Seedling AF-450...please? I love this color and I’m considering it in a couple different areas but I am afraid of what it will do with cool north light
What would you recommend for a living room that is cement block? No drywall. Want it to look NOT like an office or school, etc.
I loved this!!! Thank you!
You’re so welcome!!
Hi! I see Winds Breath in the list, but didn't catch where you talked about it in the video. Can you help me out?
How about Wilmington Tan?
We can look into it!
can you use edgecomb grey next to balboa mist in adjacent rooms that you can see in?
Do they have a similar video with sherwin Williams paint?
What do you suggest is better to use on kitchen cabinets?I Semi gloss or satin? I wanted to use Benjamin moore advanced. Is this good paint?
I believe it to be good! Personally, I tend to favour a satin finish on cabinets, but semi gloss should add a tad extra washability, if that's a priority for you!
I’d love to see a video dedicated to rich accent walls that make a room pop against many of these often used colors.
The accent colors didn’t start until #32 😞
I think you gave us an idea!😂
Fantastic video! Thank you
40 is just too many!
I would use White Dove full formula with a different sheen for trim.
As for your second question, are talking about crown molding?
I painted years ago all my trim in Glidden Ripoln ( white) and I know you can’t get it anymore but what would be out there that’s the same? I wanted to repaint my trim and the painter said didn’t need it but I insisted ( remember this was years ago) and the best think about it was you couldn’t tell where the new paint from old painted trim...now I had trim painted Cloud white and I find it very yellow! so I am looking for white like Ripoln! Help...
Hmm... I can't seem to find that colour... If you wanted cloud white with a bit less yellow, maybe try Oxford White? 😅
Love it! 🌝
Looking forward to more vid
