Have you ever felt your Create Mod Machines are just too big or too ugly? Well Dejojotheawsome is here to help! These tips are aimed to make your machines look and work smoother! - Игры
Can also dye your belts by clicking on them with the corresponding color dye. It's more for organization than looks but it could be useful for that too.
That is super useful!
THAT'S SO COOL
Best color is yellow BY FAR, its like "oh no yellow line danger dont cross :O" factory style
FINALY SOMETHING USEFULL TO KNOW
atleast my time isnt totaly wasted by the video
Would be cool if they would myb also give out a spec. Redstone strength for each colour
Never know that mill stone has a shaft at its bottom side, big cogwheels can transfer vertically, and mechanical belt can be encased vertically! What an informative video!
I'm super glad I could help!
Encasing Cogs can hide shafts that would otherwise connect, and help compact a build. Or you can right click them with the wrench and expose the shaft again.
Oh yeah! That’s amazing for doing gear ratios
shame that we couldn't use these powers on Create A&B
gear ratios are so nice with this!
i use it to make very tight gear ratios indeed
- Hey, Large Cogwheel, would you like these 16 RPM?
- *Double and give it to the next person*
Hey small cogwheel would you like these 32 rpm?
half it and give it to the next person
??
Gearbox is so powerful and capable of any kind of connections, but also belt extension and twisted chaindrives are useful as well
Tons of ways to move power around :D
Great video!
Also worth mentioning that chain drives lag less than belts for big-scale buildings
Chaindrives have no stress requirement compared to belts as well.

Belts don't use stress units, at least on all the current versions of Create I've played on.
One tip I've discovered myself is that if you're either lacking space or looking to completely compact something, you may run into an issue where you won't have room to move an item on a belt since the minimum space for a belt is 1x2, so to save on that precious space you can use something like a drain taking up a 1x1 space which automatically rolls items over it. Do note to be careful when working with items that can actually be drained though.
It's helpful to think of all of it as "ratios". Every block in relation to any specific one of it's neighbors will be a ratio of that neighbor. This will always hold true (ofc the ratio can change like an ACG). The "power source" (i.e. what's 'receiving/sending') doesn't matter, a small cog will always be 2:1 rpm ratio with the large cog it's touching. Every other relationship acts that way as well, order doesn't matter a the sense of "power flow".
That millstone belt setup is nuts. The crushing wheels one is amazing as well.
Great mindset! And I'm really glad you like my little proof of concept designs
the crushing wheel setup is amazing. I always had them vertical and dropped items in which was messing with some magnet-trinkets you get in certain modpacks. Amazing stuff!
The chain drive does actually connect vertically, you just have to orient them correctly. The way you oriented them wouldn't connect except for the shafts.
Note that encasing a cog also blocks its unused shaft outputs, and you can then un-block it by right-clicking with a wrench. This lets you build longer gear-up/gear-down systems in a much smaller space.
super helpful! i didn't notice this, thanks
That shaft under the millstone… I’m shocked, that would have helped me so much in the past, ALONG WITH HORIZONTAL GRINDING I feel so stupid now XD
Loved the vid,
I also really like that powering adjustable chain gearshifts with different redstone signal strengths allows for more control of rpm.
Also, mechanical pumps can be especially useful in certain contraptions with weighted ejectors because they uniquely act as a cog and allow flung items to travel through them in some orientations.
Just started watching your Create Arcane Engineering series a few days ago, and i was looking for a tutorial for some of the create machines and i didnt even realize this was your video as well! :D Thank you for the video, helps a lot when i havent tried the create mod at all before!
I honestly haven't seen anyone else make this kind of helpful video for create. Love it!
that crusher trick has saved me ages of heartache in the future, how couldnt i have seen that before haha
I just started with create mod and this video helped me a ton. More videos like this please!
Thanks for the tips. I always forget about the encased chain drives.
I personally don't recommend showing your shafts because I did it once and now I'm not allowed within a 50ft radius of a school area
Lmao I'm so weak
true
Really nice video. Good information for starting players.
The only thing you forgot to mention is that big cogwheel covered with casing prevent transmission of rotational power on the center block in one side. Useful for compact gearshift builds
Thanks man, i’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out the point of chain drives vs belts, i thought they did the same more or less, also, got some tips from you that will make my facotires look much cooler, didn’t realise you could encase belts for example
never knew about the vertical belt encasing thats so cool!
I don't usually comment on RUclips videos, but that was actually a really nice video! I'm not even new to Create, and I still learned a few things! I would definitely like to see more guides like this. Great job, dude!
this helped for a lot more than just compacting
Thank you so much for these tutorial videos, I have been getting a lot out of them. ❤
I am super glad to hear that
"And of course, remember, a lot of things can be hidden in the walls." ~ Dejojo
Great tut👍
Now we need advanced tips
I love the video! I am new to create and i learned a lot of new stuff, we want more of these videos, keep going!
you can also encase vertical shafts inside girders, if i remember correctly
The 'right facing' had me for a loop until I realised you were talking in terms of clockwise and counter-clockwise. Love the tutorial though!
Oh hahaha yeah I should have used those terms lol
i would love more create stuff.
Then it shall come!
Adjustable Chaindrives also scale their effect with the strength of the redstone signal. (thats how i made sortof CVT to always run my machines at max possible speed even when power drops)
Great work on this video!
This is gonna be valuable for making my machines more efficient in my super flat world
THE MILLSTONE HAS A SHAFT AT THE BOTTOM????????? That is SO USEFUL I am SO GLAD I learned that!!!
Yep! Super cool right
Great video! Keep doing this! This teaches me a lot!
Thank you! really glad you enjoyed
3:50 I genuinely exclaimed “you can??” to this fact. this is gonna be so useful
fantastic tutorial man, very informative in a way that this simpleton could follow 👍👍
I am super happy to hear that! Glad you enjoyed
havent watched it yet but i already know it will be useful
Hahah glad to hear
not me loading up my game right now to try some of these compact machines out. id love to see more small machines though
You can actually power the rotation speed controller into the cogwheel, so the configured speed outputs at the lower half of the machine
Thank you!
do more! loved this
i love this ideas, i got a survival and all the stuff where literally surrounded by shafts and cogwheels, it was just a hall whit all the stuff press mixers and that, 3 chest doubled and surrounded whitout being able to see sky cause full of cogwheels
nice video!! though id like to point out that "left/right rotation" is an ambiguous naming scheme since any given rotation can be interpreted as right or left depending on how you think about it. not a huge issue but i thought i should point it out
your video so helpfull, thank you
It helps me a lot
I'm so glad!
the rotation speed controller works on both sides for input and output in another side, not just input from the bottom and output on top.
It'd be nice to see a video covering this that doesn't use creative motors, as those drastically reduce the footprint of designs.
It helped a little bit
To explain the gearboxes, u best can show them how the inside works with the large cogwheels 😉
Exactly. Because of that, adjacent sides turn in opposite directions, and if you go around the outside of a gearbox, if the first side is turning clockwise, the next will be counter-clockwise, then CW, and finally CCW again. "But wait, opposite sides aren't turning in the same direction!" They aren't if you haven't turned around and are looking at the shaft coming out of the far side from the near side's perspective. Picturing the gears inside the gearbox is therefore a very helpful way of figuring out whether a gearbox will do what you want in any given situation!
Are you able to encase a belt with train casings like you can a brass one?
You can just right-click with a wrench (while not sneaking!) to break brackets off of shafts and fluid pipes
With this chest of belts I can drastically reduce the tps of the server *evil laughter*
7:23
You said they cant take a vertical force into a horizontal, but they can. if youd power the contraption you build just from the other side (from above) it would do that. ofc that means you have to go one "off" to the side.
This didn't help... Because the video ended and I want MORE!!! Great series, create can be confusing and simple options are sometimes overlooked for more complex methods
The chain drives are also more lag friendly than the belts.
how did you do the windmill sails underground like that?
Didn't know that millstone can be powered by cog. That's helpful
Yan can also use brackets on both cog wheels.
Oh that’s really cool!
The create mods for be is missing textures. Will it be setting updates?
You can remove the bracket by right-click with wrench. Shift-right-click destroys the whole shaft.
Is it possible to make a mailing or delivery system with belts and funnels?
Like if I either were to name an item after the designated area or playername I want it to go via anvil rename.
For example I name 1designated shulkerbox of 1 colour after a player and give one funnel route theese to transport it there.
Chain drives can connect vertically if the 2 drives are horizontal, just say chain drives cant connect if the shaft end is facing another chain drive!
Apparently, girders will make shafts look pretty too.
can you make a video where you explain waht to do when starting a survival world with create?
Your accent sounds like im about to get a quest to retrieve the dragonstone from Bleak Falls Barrow
Helpful. Liked & Sub'd.
i like breaking the immersion by having large gears clip into everything
Using I like adding casing to large cogs for gear ratioing, a large cog with a casing won't output to the shaft
Keep it up!
Absolutely!
How did I not think to try horizontal crushers!?!?!
I just hide the ugly part in the floor and put glass to look at the nice parts.
how do you load your mods?
create encased has brass gearboxes and create dreams and desires has an always-active gearshift
Millstone has a shaft output\input underneath it.. discovered it yesterday by mistake
"And remember: A lot of things could be hidden in the walls" -- Dejojo
Whats that red thing on the top?
I prefer to not do ANY of these and build as big of a machine as I can that produces steel infinitely. Cobblestone generator to a crusher wheel to grind it into gravel which then gets washed and turned to iron nuggets and pressed into bars next to a tree farm and blaster fan that produces charcoal which then gets combined with the iron to make steel. Complex but easy to boil down
so when i place the deployer my server crashed and i think its because the deployer got corupted is there anything i can do about this or is it because of the mod itself?
You know I had that issue too actually, I'm not sure what causes it
whats the background music
I'm conflicted
I came here for a minor reason
(Couldn't get it to start, i don't think i had enough water pumping cause i was using a large water wheel and a small cog)
And i want to watch all of your videos, but also want to stumble to learn this solo
Bruh, knew everything
✨Not a small cog, a big cog…✨ Read that out loud!🙇♂️🥹
cool vid
Thank you!
lol, yeah my bulding skills lead to realy messy looking factories hehe
The limit of belts is like 20 blocks
I love cogs
millstone has a shaft at the bottom
Crushing wheels can be horizontal?!?
Ah, yes, create, the 2010 game.
yeah RUclips does that automatically lol
I was expecting more actual compactness tips like clipping contraptions into other blocks of the same machine
+1 subscriber
I really appreciate that :D
17:10 expose ALOT more Shaft
big cogwheels can transfer force perpendicularlyy, i never knew that wtff
Big cogs with big potential!
9:47
WAIT WHAT
I feel the more I learn about Create, the less I actually know
I've played create many times for a long time. I just learned that the millstone has a shaft input. Fuck.
14:45 for example me in your
bruh i love how youtube thinks this is the GAME "create"
Thank you for all the interesting tidbits of info however I say fuck compact and sleek designs
Embrace Rube Goldberg machine
Sure I COULD use a simple belt to get this over here but I COULD also have an ejector launch the shit in the air!
Nah but thank you Ill try to compact the less fun bits to make my silly machines more silly with the space I save!
