I'm not sure if people just don't know this, but you can use the clipboard in the schematic canon for a list as well. This will allow for manually checking off all the items you have and it also shows an image of the item you're looking for
well... not necceseraly they just lock the current shaft connectivity of the cog (so it can also remove both shaft sides, or neither of them), and it works with small cogs too it's similar to how copper casings lock the connectivity diretions of pipes
If you hold left control while making a schematic you can make a node in the air without using any blocks, works well with larger more spread out builds.
Not a create tip, but if you also have the "Time in a Bottle" mod, you can insta-build schematics using the schematicannon and using the time bottle on the cannon. This is esp nice for particularly large schematics.
@@creeperbait_42I use time in a bottle and schematicannon in enigmatica 6 expert for all of my buildings, and it surprisingly isn’t really laggy and looks really cool to see it build so fast
Cool tip if your into building armour stand stuff: Because schematics copy NBT data you can pose an armour stand in a creative world and paste it in a survival/server world with the pose.
You can also feed schematics to deployers, and they'll put just that block if they're within reach of the space where that block needs to go. Since they don't get used up, it's pretty handy for making train tunnels. It _does_ mean you'd need quite a lot of them for larger builds, but it lets you do things like stagger your lights and use more than one kind of block in a line.
Just got into the SteamPunk mod pack and I had NO IDEA Create was so powerful. Thanks for all of these tips and tricks, I'm having a blast playing Minecraft again after so many years.
- When building moving contraptions or trains, you don't have to glue things like torches, signs, redstone, harvesters, etc. If the block they're attached to becomes a contraption, they'll come along for the ride. - When building farms, you don't have to attach the harvesters to a block. You can remove the block you placed them on and just glue the harvesters to your chassis. I love doing this because it only breaks half as many crops if I ever have to turn it back into blocks. - If your glue is saying "Glued blocks must be connected," just replace them with solid blocks, glue them, and then put them back the way they were. The glue doesn't care if the blocks are attached once it's been placed. - If a water wheel or large cog won't let you place it because another wheel or cog is too close, you can force them together with a mechanical piston or schematicannon. This is great for making compact water wheel arrays and machines. - You can use drains as a powerless replacement for a belt, as long as you don't need any presses, deployers, or fans to process the items going across them. - Foxy No Tail figured this one out. You'll like this. Belts kill your framerate in large quantities, so replace them with chain drives wherever possible. - And a train-specific one: You can make locomotives with more than 2 bogeys if you only glue the middle 2 bogeys to the main body. Just let the front and back bogeys float around.

Another fun tip with the schematicannon is you can use it to till farmland. You make a schematic in another world of whatever general shape of farmland you want/need and then use the schematic in your main world. All you gotta do is give it the dirt and it'll place it as farmland
@@dejojotheawsome It is, but has an unfortunate exploit in some mods where you can even use it to get things like insanium farmland / fertilized farmland from just dirt
the drawback to the sail method for farms is at least to some feels an ineficient use of space when you can just hook a sideways water wheel beneath it to give all the force it needs and works for tree farms too
You can also, with schematics, scroll while facing the side you want to bring closer or further from the set location before setting it. This works with any side. I had been on a break from minecraft for a while, and forgot how to do a lot of stuff with this mod. Your videos have been a massive help to refresh my memory!
A lifehack I thought would be put in this video was that you can rightclick the edges on the back of mechanical crafters to link them to the same item. This was, they fill share what goes into 1 crafter.
One huge life hack I, as a cave sweller, love is that you can excavate huge caves using schematic cannon by copying air. Best part is that it works with watery caves, which is great, because removing water is a pain

For changing gear speed you can use the 'rotational speed controller' block right off a cog wheel to select rotation speed rather than pop out a bunch of gears. not sure if that block was around on video date, but it's an improvement to the discussion at 6:00 on gear ratio setup...

3:24 A little cheaper way to get crushing wheels set up correctly is with large cogwheels. One behind each, the wheels will work perfectly. Slightly cheaper on resources, especially in the beginning.
@@plywoodpyro6278 But that is how they work. I do it all the time in the Create mod. You put two large cogwheels on the backs of two crushing wheels, they hook up and you just apply stress to one and they both spin.
5:50 another way to speed up a large water wheel is to include one small water wheel in addition to the large. the small water wheel will force the whole contraption to spin at the small water wheel speed, which is twice that of the large wheel, while still getting all the rotational energy from the large wheels.
Fun fact: I experimented with the Schematicannon and I put a Creative Crate next to it and it started working the gunpowder bar was purple saying “Supplied by Creative Crate”
The drills being able to mine just about anything can be broken with certain mods. Like Gobber. The ores are supposed to be mined with netherite stuff but I got it anyway because the drill mined it for me. Water wheels, put the smaller and the lager ones next to each other, run water through them and you'll realize that the RPM follows the smaller one but combine the SU. The order of the water wheel is not relevant at all, so long as it's connected to adjacent waterwheels.
5:50 I’m sure it still works, you can put a small water wheel on the front of the large water wheel array to double the speed before you start gear shifting.
We need more videos like this. also, your tree chopper isn't the best. If you build a minecart contraption in which you have 3 barrels on the top, a mechanical saw, the furnace cart, and another saw, not only you only have to right click once to push the minecart and it will start moving and chopping but it also stores all the items in the barrels! that's super useful because you don't have to manually collect the wood and apples and other things that fall. the only thing you have to do is to put rails on the floor.
I mean, in regard to warter wheels, aren't normal wheels and big wheels the same functionally? Or so I thought. If it's double the SU but half the RPM, is there a point? You can more easily just put two normal wheels together and it would take less space than the big waterwheel +gear rsrio setup
Another one is instead of blasting crushed ores to get ingots, you can wash them to get 9 nuggets and a chance to get another resource, like quartz, gunpowder and redstone
10:49 In version create-1.20.1-0.5.1.f.jar there is no need to build dimensional markers, now it is enough to somehow assign a capture zone, then, with the mouse wheel held down Ctrl, you can move the boundaries at which the gaze cursor is aimed. PS Ah, already mentioned, oookey =)
Uhh i dont know of you read these anymore but you can reverse the rotation on the crushing wheels cheaper than 2 gearboxes, you can do this by using 1 large cogwheel and placing it on 1 of the crushing wheels and connect it with the other crushing wheel with 3 small cogwheels

New to the create mod, desperate to learn it, one of my big questions is where does the SU gained from Windmills and water wheels go? Like, yeah cool the big water wheel produces 512su, but, what is it used for? Do i connect it to something? if so what
You can think of it sort of as power. Any sort of contraption like the mill for example will put stress on the system, which can be thought of as drawing power. An example might be the mill requires 64su to function, so when connected to your network producing 512su you would have 448su remaining. All contraptions will add stress to the system/draw some power so when you run out of su to spare, the system stops working as it’s over-encumbered.

Did you know that the clipboard can serve as a material list for the schematic canon (idk if you already knew its just bc you didnt use it)
Keep them coming! Por favor!!!!
for the schemetacannon one you can also put in a clipboard and itll fill that and even checkmark ones you have
you forgot you can put checklist to the schematic cannon and it will give you not only names of the things you need but also images of the things you need
man... the create mod is perfection..
you can use the windmill to power some factory if you have factory that uses bamboo
Hey, wondering if the schematic system works with other mods such as ars nouveau? i have a modpack with both create and ars nouveau and wondering if I could move my build from a server i play on, into my singleplayer world
It does save items from other mods, so that works! Well from most mods anyways, there are very few exceptions ive found
@@KikinCh1kin thanks! Gonna try it out now
@Dejojotheawsome @14:15 you mention "Pete stretch", What is "Pete stretch"?
checklists can also be used in the schematicannon and i'm pretty sure they work better than books
You can put the clipboard in the schematicanon instead of a book for a picture of each block in front of the amount and name and you can check them of whenever you want.
3:23 I prefer using 3 large cogwheels in a T formation for this.
What is the range of a schematic cannon or can you place the schematic 1000 blocks away
incredible video.
Дрель (буровая головка) во втором лайфхаке из "Create" способна вскопать даже древние обломки
you getting good at this hahahah 😂😂❤❤ love ur vids bro always.
Thank you!
These are helpful, but also just some tweaked basics mostly were instructed within Ponders, not as much as what we call life hacks no offense at all
I totally understand! I tried to hit some points that I feel people often miss, but yes watching the ponders does give you lots of info :D
