@@darksky05 then thats the clue, its not getting fuel..pull the gasoline hose at the Carburetor, verify that it has fuel coming down from the tanks cutoff valve...if not, you found your problem. If so, continue into the carb float and needle and seat..something is clogged in there..you can either take it off, take everything apart and spray clean every hole and passage way that you see..put it all back together and see if it starts or you can buy a new Carburetor...and you'll be good
@@alyoungcuda it tried to, but cut off immediately. After that it’s me sweating and nothing happening. You think I may need a spark plug? I’ve only used it once during hurricane Micheal a few years back.
@@Jesus4me2011 so it started, of course its gonna shut off, it has no fuel except for the Carburetor cleaner you are spraying in it..once it kicks even for a few seconds, the spark plug and ignition is good, all you did was provide the fuel..like starting a camp fire
My storm responder had water in the gas. It started the first time conked out. I redid the gas with fresh , re-clean the carburetor. It’s getting spark, but still won’t start.
@@istrains.7653 change out the spark plug, even thou it looks good, it could be soaked or bad that you can't see with the naked eye..and does it run with carburetor cleaner sprayed into it..if so then either the carburetor is clogged or the rubber line feeding the carb is clogged
On this it was the fix, the customer tried his best to start it but you just need to know the right things to do and what to look for. It was a good running generator till it sat for the summer

great video, my generator is running like a top now! what madman decided to use external torx on the carb mounting studs.
They use those screws to screw us around..😆 glad it worked out and thanks for watching too...

Ty im getting one this weekend with mt cargo trailer and didnt know nothing about them.
I sprayed it with carb cleaner and it’ll start but not run. It’s got plenty of oil. Also I have the 6250 watts.

But starting it with carb cleaner isn’t a fix right? Did you clean the carb? Just curious!👍

Red hot exhaust is not good, there might be a restriction in the muffler..
What size spark plug does this one uses
Size of the socket to remove it? Its the larger size 13/16 if i remember, as for the plug part number on it? Don't know..sorry
