@@Zero2689 The Game has MMR system and there are people already who have 1500+ Hours in game. I find and record their games so others can learn. It’s nothing about bragging, it’s not even me.

@@jR0xasYeah but valve made Dota 2. And this is a lot more like dota than smite. It has shops in lane, like the secret shop in dota. You can also teleport out of spawn, which is kinda like the ziplines in this game. They also seem to like the idea of duo lanes, bc theres not really any dedicated junlger role in this or dota unlike smite.
@@boiant42 Tbf Dota wasn't even their idea considering they didn't make the first one and Dota 2 is very similar to it. Even Dota wasn't fully made by them since they just hired the dude who made the first. Their original games have been very bad in recent years I don't have a lot of hope.

Feels like every "top 1 % or High MMR" video i see, the hero we're watchings team always crush the enemy right from the beginning/generally seem to have better teammates. I'd love to see one of these gameplay videos from an "underdogs/comeback" perspective if you catch my meaning :D
You can check and see my last Dynamo video for comeback situation, it was almost lost and they managed to pull it off and Yamato Video for LOST game, even with perfect yamato performance in the match :D

Everyone's saying that Valve as we knew it is gone, but honestley this looks dope. Yeah new games in their older series would be great (especially Half-Life), but new is good too.

How do you get to read item descriptions but still run around and aim with your mouse at rhe same time? I usually have to hover my mouse over it to read it then cant aim at the same time

....Would be nice if valve took some more elements from Quake III(and the overcharge gamemode from team arena expansion). Just replace the neutral creeps with pick-ups and it would be a more contested ground.

I got an invite for this game today but rejected it. I can't be exclusive in any sense if randoms like me are getting invites.
I never heard about the game before so I came looking to see what sort of game Deadlock was but I can't say this would interest me, not as Dota 2 player, nor as a TF2 player. I looks like another Overwatch style thing. Not my cup of tea.
I'm sure people will enjoy it, it is a shooter and valve will polish it well I am sure, it's just not for me.
Overwatch player here, this is nothing alike. Overwatch is more like TF2 but less chaotic, while this is just Dota again.

holy shit this comment section is full of bots... why the tf2 overwatch comparison? It's a first-person moba, with micro-management to match. A good experiment! But man I hope they don't rush the release of this thing. There's too many marvel-isms and fortnite-isms in the art style to take it seriously as something more than a dime-a-dozen overwatch clone.
Lean into the bioshock aesthetics! Hell, make it painterly-looking like disco elysium; and then add the strong outlines of character silhouettes from borderlands 2!

There just seems to be XP (or I guess skill point XP camps in this games case as that seems to be the only "XP" that exist in this game. There might be wards but I'm not aware of them, it seems way more focused on lanining due to lack of jungle objectives, so its mostly 2 in each lane so far?

Try to look the featured matches (first 4 when you press watch in-game). It mostly shows highest MMR thats already being played. :) And look for the nicknames that are in those matches here, these are indeed one of the best people out there so far.

Seems like this game will have the exact same issue that MOBAs have had for ages, with the Snowballing and stomping based on currency. So far I've only played a few matches, but man do the MOBA elements feel like an attempt to force this game to be the next E-Sport garbage cash grab.
If this was more like TF2 where Skill is the primary factor for victory this wouldn't be an issue at all, because You lost due to pure Skill and not 'Numbers' but once a Warden or Viscous gets feed in a match it's almost over, no amount of skill will save You from the loss, specially with teammates who are behind and under-powered.
Also, I know it's a team game, and even in TF2, You might be the best player in the lobby and still lose because of Your team, but at least in TF2, the game doesn't reward You with currency to spend and get stronger when getting kills or doing objectives, it rewards You by putting the knowledge You've gathered and putting it to use (And that's it).
It's fair because everyone has the same tools, and even if You have the Basic Weapons You can still kick-ass, the alternative weapons offer different play styles and that's mostly it.
TLDR: The MOBA Aspects suck major donkey c**k. If they find a way to make the game slightly more fair in that aspect it would be more enjoyable.

Got an invite from Valve, not my cup of tea. Too much going on and way too many stats and upgrades to keep track of.
If I want to use my head, I'll play a city builder or civilization. It's a failed amalgamation of aspects from every mainstream game in my view. Hell, theres even a buff shirtless dude that I SWEAR has Saxton Hale's exact moveset in TF2. Don't forget the green guy that is literally just John Splatoon. I can go on for ages about the recycled concepts.
Green guy is (Winter Wyvern + Pangolier) from Dota. Most of the abilities are taken from dota

I come to the conclusion the Alpha test needs more skilled and experienced players, like myself.
theres lots of high lvl players, but hes only posting short matches with a distinct MVP's footage. it probably makes for a better video since we stick with 1 persons perspective.

For once its a MOBA first before a shooter. If you need a better comparison the game feels like playing SMITE but with an FPS focus and more faster "get into the action" momentum.
It doesnt play anything like TF2. aka, its completely different.
