      Hi Ms Wood,
So glad God has led you to Piper. The value and encouragement along with sobering edification that flows through him from God is a continuous source and means of Grace. One of the most amazing affirmations of his anointing is that he is simply a little nerd (he knows it)... but he Thunders like Whitfield, therefore, you know God is with him. He is the embodiment of encouragement in 1st Corinthians.
      1 Corinthians 1:27-31
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; [28] and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, [29] that no flesh should glory in His presence. [30] But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God-and righteousness and sanctification and redemption- [31] that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.
Indeed that is what Piper is on Earth to do.
      God bless

The definitional of conditional is subject to one or more conditions or requirements being met; made or granted on certain terms.
Faith is a condition, faith in what God says and obeying is a condition. Jn. 14:15
Those who practice sin is a condition and requirement not to practice
      1 Cor.6:9-10
His love has condition for us to be regenerated
Of one thinks the can live without feeling guilty for sin and a desire to repent would be a person who says they believe in Jesus but are not truly regenerated.

Such a great & clear teaching about what the Christain life is. Puts a nail in cheap grace. Because true grace is the Divine power of Christ in us.
Rom.8 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors-not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba,[b] Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

Despite how amazing God has been to help me function well, I've just been through the longest (almost a year) worst depression episode I've ever had. Despite my knowledge of the Word and researching spiritual growth and discipleship from Dallas Willard's incredible videos on how God heals His broken children-the mind, the soul, the spirit, the body (look him up)-I was so weak physically and mentally my Christian therapist threatened to hospitalize me against my consent. I guarantee you that a RUclips search for "JP Moreland Fing Quiet" will not only help you but also give you hope. Moreland is a Christian apologist professor at Biola University and is included in the list of the 50 most important philosophers in the world. In Finding Quiet, he tells about how God led him to research and write a book on the steps he took to overcome one of his many seasons of severe anxiety, panic attacks and depression. He includes all the treatment options he took, and what others are available, and how God uses pyschologists, psychiatrists, medications, EMDR, group therapy, and much more to help His children who are mentally afflicted. God bless you, Dear. ☝️✝️🙏❤️

    GOD’S CRIMES - Lili
You tell them all about your Lord, they laugh behind your back
You know you’re destined for Paradise but what of those you love?
They’ll writhe in pain in the bowels of Hell, whilst you watch from above
Will you feel their agony and anguish as they suffer, or will you join the pack?
The pack of those who lose their love when Jesus makes his claim
Where is the love in Paradise, your conscience is to blame? -
Or will you lose your conscience in the golden glory of your Lord
Or will you begin to doubt, the infallibility of his mind?
As you see your loved ones tortured, for striving just to live
He breaks the vessels made in love with evil wrath so blind
As years roll by in Eternity perhaps you’ll forget God’s crimes
But deep down within your heart you’ll remember better times. -
For anything would be better than a Tyrant hard and cruel
Who watches every moment, every thought his tenants think
And if they lapse for just a blink they’re driven to his throne
Made to beg forgiveness, made to grovel on the brink
The brink of the fiery flames of Hell, destiny for those who can’t atone
But why atone when family waits? Better Hell than Heaven shown. -
They talk of some strict testing but we should test this God
His jealous mind craves control, control and unfettered hate
He talks of love but it’s not love when he burns imperfect souls
And not just once, for Eternity, reveling in their pain, This holy reprobate
If you believe this strange God exists, it’s time to review your goals.

Lord help us to have discernment. Piper is a Calvinist. One of the preeminent Calvinist of our time. His belief...Only for the predestined from before time “the elect”. The non elect.predestined before time are damned to hell and torment and their is nothing they can do about it. God hates them. As Calvinist use this scripture for proof “Jacob I loved, Esau I hated”. Jesus did not die for the sin of the world so that whosoever believes will have everlasting life. He only died for “the elect” and the non elect whom God hates from before time be damned. And yes babies being predestined by God to be either “the elect” or “non elect” would go to hell because they were predestined to it. This God does to show His Glory. Brothers and sisters use discernment when opening yourself up to these people (they are Calvinist). Let the Holy Spirit move in you and reveal the true love of God. Piper is a great charismatic person. Look deeper. Christ died for all as He said He did. My God IS Love. Go and tell ALL people what Christ has done for them. God says I do not want any to perish. May the love of Christ Jesus be with you and in you

@@2ndPigeon Hey Vincent, I'm glad you took the time out of your day to listen to Piper for a bit. I just wanted to say a little something: the death of Jesus wasn't meant to get rid of sin. Believers in Jesus still sin; our sin just isn't counted against us. It was counted against Jesus when He died. He received our punishment, and we received his perfect righteousness. When Jesus rose, we in the same way receive his unbreakable life.
Additionally, Jesus did physically die, but what makes his death so horrific and mind-bending is that Jesus, God in the flesh, worthy of all praise and literally creator of all life itself, became a man in order to die. Not only did he die: he drank the cup of the Father's wrath, suffering every bit of anger against evil that we as believers deserved. And Jesus CHOSE to do this.
If you haven't before, read Isaiah 52:13-15 and then through Isaiah 53. Isaiah was written somewhere around 700 years before Jesus, and it foretells of Jesus and what he would come to do. That entire prophecy was fulfilled by Jesus.

    • @2ndPigeon
      @2ndPigeon 4 года назад

@@lukehumphrey7517 Have you ever stopped an thought about the story?
He and many many others got the same penalty, but after a weekend he came back to life and became vice ruler of the universe.
Nothing was sacrificed. Even I would happily do that.
All the others that died on crosses or worst deaths actually would have been better secrfices, because they didn't come back.
And did we really choose to sin? We're born with it and we don't have much choice in being born. And it's is all by God's design so he did this whole 'coming down in human form' thing to exploit a loophole in the rules he created himself. It makes God's choices seem very human.
It's all very barbaric and doesn't make much sense.
The prophecy in Isaiah is wholy unremarkable. The book says that later in the book something will happen. Are you that impressed by internal consistency? All narrative based books have that.

    • @lukehumphrey7517
      @lukehumphrey7517 4 года назад +2

@@2ndPigeon Brother, I would suggest you read John to better understand the story. Jesus did not become vice ruler of the universe. He is and always was THE ruler of the universe. He is God.
And the point of the cross isn't the death on the cross. You're right. Several others died on the cross. But what happened on the cross was that God the Father looked at Jesus, God the Son, and abandoned him while he was on the cross. What makes that so great?
Well, take everything. Take all humans, all fish, all birds, all life entirely. Then take the whole universe, every atom, every bit of dark matter, and put it all on one side of the scale. Then put Jesus on the other side of the scale, and Jesus (Son of God) outweighs them all. He is more valuable and beautiful and powerful and substantial and essentially good and righteous than all of it.
Jesus and the Father were together for eternity, in intimate union, as far back as you can go. So when God forsook Him, there's never been such a thing that has happened. Those few short hours are blasphemous enough to pay for our sin. A man (like me) has sinned, so a man must die. BUT only God saves. Salvation is of God. So, the Godman comes and suffers under the punishment we deserve. Therefore, man does die, and salvation is also entirely of God. God applies his wrath to Jesus, and he applies Jesus' righteousness to those who believe in Jesus.
The point of Jesus's resurrection is, among other things, that Jesus IS God. He raised himself from the grave, proving that he indeed has the power to give us believers eternal life.
We can talk about sin if you'd like, but that would make my message way longer than it already is
Regarding the "book." The Bible isn't "a book" like most books. It's a _collection_ of books written over thousands of years. The reason I mentioned the dating of the book of Isaiah is because it was written nearly a thousand years before Jesus. Jesus then came and lived out exactly what is in Isaiah 52 and 53 about a thousand years later. Look up the Dead Sea Scrolls, a bunch of old testament writings found in the Qumran caves. They are dated to be written about 400-500 years before Jesus, and they contain the full book of Isaiah amongst them.
That's what makes the Bible so very unique. No other "religious text" was written over thousands of years by multiple authors, spoke of miracles of which there were eye witnesses and eye witnesses of eye witnesses, and was so falsifiable throughout those years. The other religious texts were written by one author or a handful of authors all living at the same time, and they could easily have corroborated together. They were not easily falsifiable, as the writers made claims that could not have been confirmed by other people alive at the time.

The appeal of Calvinism is feeling lucky and pumped up that they are called and others are not, all because of God’s lucky roll of the dice, even though this speaks very clearly of God’s unfairness.
For God to select some and not others upon the roll of the dice is incredibly unjust.
But as we know that God is absolutely fair and just we also know that He isn’t just a roller of the dice.
God helps those get across the line with predestination who want to get saved.
How can it be any other way!!
Because a Calvinist is called it doesn’t necessarily mean he or she is saved, does it.
Many are called but how many are chosen?

Hi Paul, Calvinists would agree with you that God is absolutely fair and perfectly just, but I don't know any Calvinists (myself included) that would agree with what you say they feel, nor how you characterize their beliefs. The reason I believe the doctrines of Grace is that they are taught in the Bible. We don't believe in some magical cosmic dice that dictate who God chooses, we believe He chooses who He saves freely on the basis of His will, not on the basis of our actions or our stony hearts, which when He saves us, he replaces with hearts of flesh.
You say that God helps those who want to be saved, but Paul's letter to the Romans says there is nobody that seeks God. The psalmist says the wicked go astray from the womb, and 1 John chapter 4 says that we love because He first loved us i.e. God's love for us is what allows us to love Him and love others.
I'm happy to go through these texts and others in more detail if you'd like, but addressing the scripture you cited, we have to read it in context, since the word "called" can mean many different things depending on the context. (As an example when you call your dog, that means something very different than calling your grandma to wish her a merry Christmas).
Mat 22:14 "Many are called but few are chosen." comes at the end of the parable of the wedding feast, where a king is having a wedding feast for his son, but the people he invited decided not to come and some even kill his servants, so the king gets angry, has the murderers killed, and invites everyone both good and bad to the banquet. Then at the banquet, he sees a guest not wearing the wedding garment. The king asks how he got in without one, and when the guest can't answer him, the king has him bound and cast into outer darkness. Jesus then explains this with "for many are called, but few are chosen."
In this time period, it was the host's responsibility to provide the wedding garment to the guests he invites. I think the proper interpretation of this parable is that the wedding feast is heaven, and the people initially invited were Israel, but they rejected Christ. Therefore, salvation was opened up to the Gentiles. I don't think that just wanting to be saved is what leads God to save people because in the parable, the man who gets cast out showed up to the feast. He clearly wanted to come, but he wasn't wearing the wedding garment, which is the righteousness of Christ. The parable seems to be saying that the only way to be saved is to be clothes in Jesus's righteousness, i.e. Jesus is the only way to salvation, but it doesn't explain why the man didn't have Jesus's righteousness, so to use this text to attempt to argue that God is trying to save everyone doesn't make much sense. We need to read our whole Bibles, not just individual verses plucked out.

Christian Goodbrake Thank you for your reply.
I’m not a scholar and this subject of predestination is one I haven’t really discussed with anyone in great depth.
Nor have I read much about it.
But to me a theologian is essentially someone who has the capacity to logically understand what God has already told us in His word and obviously this requires some decent analytical skills.
As we know that God knows all things we also know that what we are today is what God knew we would become.
And therefore if any help was required from God to assist the yet to be saved to become saved then surely God would be helping those whom He knew would appreciate that help, namely us believers, and not those who wouldn’t respond to His help.
And because God provides this help by predestinating our lives to get this help, it must mean that we need this help otherwise it wouldn’t be given.
And although there was a time when we who are now the believers didn’t seek after God because we had gone astray from the womb as the psalmist says, nevertheless because God knew we could eventually love and serve Him at the appointed time, He orchestrates our lives in such a way that this might be achieved, Because without this orchestration it wouldn’t happen, proved by the fact that He deems it necessary, and if it wasn’t necessary God wouldn’t bother to do this orchestrating on our behalf, to benefit us so that we can indeed gain our salvation, Which otherwise would not available to us without His help, as it isn’t for those whom God hasn’t predestined.
God wouldn’t bother with predestination unless it was necessary.
He gives us this helping hand to get saved without which we wouldn’t have gotten saved.
Without God’s intervention by predestinating us with lives that are such which made it possible to repent, the powers of Satan are such that they would have prevented us, as they are preventing those who are perishing from repenting and thereby not gaining their salvation.
However as they were never fully prepared to completely repent, God doesn’t orchestrate their lives to do what He knows they won’t do.
But those whom He knows will repent He assists them to do this because without this assistance they won’t be able to do it, hence the reason for the necessity of this assistance known as the predestined life, which made our repentance possible.
The danger of not realising or appreciating the real reason for our predestination is that inevitably a mild form of smugness will be enjoyed by those who conclude that they are predestined by God because God for no particular reason chose them.
But aside from all this there is a huge difference between being called and being chosen.
Many are called but few are chosen.

Christian Goodbrake When you come to a wedding you honour the occasion by dressing as well as you can. It’s supposed to be an honour to be invited to a wedding.
However it’s an insult to attend a wedding and not dress as well as you can. It would be an expression of ingratitude.
If we are not grateful for our salvation God shall take it away from us.
Many are called. Few are chosen

@@paulwilfridhunt I will try to keep my response brief, and I appreciate the civility of your response on a subject that often gets people on both sides to behave without grace or kindness.
Beginning with your comments on the parable of the wedding feast, you are approaching Jesus's words with a 21st century mindset rather than the mindset of the people He was speaking to. In those days, the custom was that the person putting on the wedding feast would provide the wedding garment to the guest, so to show up without the garment would not just be a lack of respect, but a direct rejection of the provision of the king. The wedding garment in the parable then represents the provision of God for salvation, and the man represents someone trying to get salvation by their own efforts, rather that relying on God's provision in the atoning work of Jesus. So you see, it is inappropriate to apply this to Calvinists, because Calvinists believe they are entirely dependent on God for their salvation. Even their faith and their repentance are gifts from God, and as such the man in the parable cannot represent Calvinists when understood rightly and in context. Rather I think the more biblically consistent interpretation of for many are called but few are chosen is that the call to repent and believe goes out to everyone, but only God's elect are given saving faith.
Secondly, you speak much of God giving people what they need to "get saved." I would just ask you to consider, "get saved by whom?" Romans says that it is God who justifies, and Jonah says salvation is of the Lord. The entire message of the gospel is "God saves" not "God makes it possible for people to be saved (by whom else if not God?)." God saves and He does it perfectly, and the entire epistle to the Hebrews explains why Christ's death is such a perfect sacrifice that it perfectly saves everyone God wishes to save. And this is the best news anyone could hear, after all, who would you rather have in charge of your salvation, God, or anyone else? I encourage you to take the time to ponder these things seriously, and to dive into God's word to see if the things I say are true. Don't feel pressured to respond right away, since these truths are vitally important, and a source for unceasing joy.

Christian Goodbrake Maybe you are right about about it being a custom for the person putting on the wedding to provide wedding garments for all the guests and hey let’s not split hairs over this but I will say this.
That doesn’t make sense to me. And like Judge Judy says if it doesn’t make sense it probably didn’t happen.
And let me tell you why it doesn’t make sense.
      Think about it.
Having to provide wedding garments today for all the guests would cost a fortune wouldn’t it.
But back in ancient times when clothing was super expensive it would have broken the bank.
Therefore I think it’s highly unlikely that wedding garments were being provided for all the guests.

What do you think it means that we are "being saved" (1 Corinthians 1:18, 2 Corinthians 2:15). If I was being saved yesterday and I am being saved today, and I will be saved tomorrow and forever, how many times am I saved? The answer is not "1" or "Many"... the answer is "YES" and "Amen".
