I remember when God regenerated me
I wasn't looking or desiring God
I wanted to date a young girl, that was my goal.
Her parents would not allow me to daye her unless I went to church with them.
I thought, what ever, I'll do it for the ability to date her.
Well, it was a Southern Baptist Church, need I say more? I heard the truth about God and my sinful nature and need for God to forgive me of my sin. I white knuckled the seat I wss in. The second Sunday the power of the Holy Spirit was to strong and God drugged me to the alter. Hallelujah! That was 50 years ago.

Substantive biblical teaching. I enjoy hearing this periodically to remind me of how to practically live by faith.

It’s called omnipresence (!!!!) - being everywhere at all times - but not just AT all time(s) but IN ALL TIME(S). While Jesus is on the cross, God is also weaving Him in to the Word, the light, AND He is already fighting the battle of Armageddon, (our side wins) and we’re living in New Jerusalem (!!!) and the reason God chooses us, the reason He never let’s us go, is because He knows we choose Him!! God knows who desires Him, who wants Him, worships Him, and calls on Him for salvation. God knows his elect, and He knows who He sanctifies! He knows this, BECAUSE IT IS FINISHED. BECAUSE THE END IS ALREADY WRITTEN, (again, we win!), and Jesus never leaves any sheep behind - any left behind, were never really His to begin with.
This is what Calvinists don’t get.
When Jesus dies on the cross, He died knowing you in the present and took you to the cross WITH HIM in the past, because Jesus is everywhere and He knew then, that you would choose Him, NOW! Calvinists think we are chosen by election, but we are chosen in that, God, being omnipresent, knows ALL WHO CHOOSE HIM!

Remember though, God is I AM. He is The God of the present.
Martha answered Jesus that she knew that her brother Lazarus would rise up on the last day. Jesus declared His I AMness. He said I AM the resurrection and the life. He then brought Lazarus back to life that day.

00:49:00 Nowhere in the Bible is gratitude connected explicitly with obedience. . .
We love Him because He first Loved us.
    1 Thessalonians 5:18
in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

A fact on endorphins: We, the human race, only recently, have had our lives made very easy on the body. Go back 150 years, and we we MUCH more physical in our daily lives. Endorphins ran rampant until modern times. Think about it......

My assumption is that if God has said "this is the work i want to do in you" and we say "Lord do this work in me" it's not telling him what to do, it's simply agreeing with him. But i'm interested to know which part of the prayer you don't like. Are you a follower of Jesus BTW?

You talk about knowing God. But you don't know God. If you know God, you don't need future grace. Knowing God is all fulfilling, right now. Knowing God means you know there is no hell. Living in fear is hell. Live and love God now and don't worry about or even consider the future. In God there is no such thing as time.
You seem like a nice and well intended man, but you miss the point. Knowing God is the end of all suffering. That IS grace, not a promise of grace.
