😝🙄Sisterlocks and Knotted Locs are a beautiful hairstyle, but as a way of life, it is not for everyone. No Loc is for EVERYONE all the time. It's not just Sisterlocks. Knotted locs may not be for you either. Learn why!. Learn all you can so that you can approach this journey from a place of empowerment, not denial or ignorance.Sisterlocks and other locs, and the locticians who maintain these styles may not be your best choice. Sisterlocks and what is required to maintain this style makes it an at-risk hairstyle, and wearers must be vigilant to avoid and mitigate hair loss and other complications arising from hair damage. Thousands of women are beginning to share their stories and pain behind these beautiful hairstyles marketed or accepted as the solution for all your small loc dreams. The long term impact of painful and frequent retightenings, loss of hair pliability (due to inadequate oil and moisture), excessive tension on the scalp, maintaining the grid, and so many other factors can be devastating. I can understand how so many of you are upset and feel Tunisa stole Melissa's idea. I don't really see how this is any different from everyone doing Microlocks in pretty much an identical way of Sisterlocks are installed for the most part. Using a similar or same grid, retightening etc. Even SL consultants offer Microlocks and will tell you its the same as SL's, just less expensive. Joanna Cornwell invested many hours, time, money and effort and small locks have become so commonplace that no one cares that her idea was stolen or copied. It seems inevitable that this would happen with knotted locs or with any hairstyle or product. I would'nt like it if i were the creator, but its the way that it is.

Well all is not lost. Melissa has a significant following. People who are loyal will remain loyal and those just learning about knotted locs will want to know more. When I was a child, I loved the game snakes and ladders. It was always thrilling and exciting when you landed on a square with a ladder. You felt you were going places! However, when you landed on a square with a snake you felt as though you were back at square one! After deliberate investigation on behalf of my Sister Tunisia. I can say i that fully support her on her expertise on the Knotted loc method that she has made her own. Melissa Blakes has made claims that Tunisia is a thief and is not qualified to teach anything regarding hair or knotted locs. Which is not true at all. The proof is in the evidence look at my beautiful sister's hair! It is long, thick and healthy. So she clearly is doing something right. Period.
Regardless of the fact that Tunisia learned this method from Melissa from observation thru video because she is in the UK.
This method is Not Patented to only be used by Melissa.
This goes for any type of loc or braiding style. There are hundreds of thousands of women that teach the same type of techniques alllll the time!! That is way things goes.
There is enough space and energy to go around. You go where the teaching and energy resonates.
Keep doing what feels right for YOU.
I know for a fact that my Sis did tell Melissa that she was going to do consults on knotted locs, and she was fine with that until ppl started to come into her ear. Now she feeling a type of way.

Having watched the video, I can see where Tunisia is coming from. She has transitioned to knotted locs and has gone through the process of maintaining her own hair using this method for a year and wants to share what she has learnt with others.
I have to say, creating an online course seems far better than asking people to book an appointment, especially when you know that you are extremely busy and unlikely to be able to fit them in. Also, someone can sign up for an online knotted locs course, pay, complete the course and then decide if the method is for them. That way people learn more about knotted locs and can make an informed decision as to whether it is a good method for them. It is a win win.
