yeahSOwhat you're just an obsessed little moron. noel Gallagher is a genius while you're just some uneducated, obsessed little fool. now stop trying you hypocrite.
'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' is the best album I own. Every song on there is amazing. Thank you Vauxhall, without your advert this piece of perfection would never have entered my life!
I saw this video when I was 8, an I've been searching it for the last 8 years: I didn't know the artist, didn't know the title nor the lyrics, I just remembered the video and now I found it... I'm so blessed, now I can die in peace

Very catchy tune , Noel's so good at writing and singing such songs. I've lost count of how many of thse great songs he's written over the years with Oasis. I remember buying the Oasis 12 inches promos back in the day and couldn't believe just how good most of the B side songs were.
Someday you might find your hero Some say you might lose your mind I keeping my head down now for the summer I'm outta my mind let me pull the other I'm gonna take that tiger outside for a ride WHAT A LIFE !!!
+Polona Florijancic said: "so the woman was being protected by Noel, because he pushed her into the pool? lol, did I get that right?" Okay, here's my interpretation of the story. In 'If I Had A Gun...', Noel appears as the priest at the wedding, because he is an Angel. I didn't really understand the meaning or purpose of the first video's story (if anyone can suggest their ideas, I'd be interested), but I did notice the two blonde demon chicks are present at the wedding, trying to steal people's souls with their Soulsucker™ video camera. In the second story, 'The Death of You and Me', the Angel appears in the diner where the Alice in Wonderland character works as a waitress. The diner is called 'Last Chance' (I'm not sure what this means, if anyone has any ideas?). I believe the scene where Noel pushes her into the pool, backwards, is a metaphor for baptism. Note that he is wearing a white shirt, the colour of angelic purity. She falls backwards, in a Christ-like crucifix pose. He leads her into a deeper level of spiritual consciousness and self-awareness. At the end, she dares to walk away from her ordinary life, to discover her true destiny (at the same time, in her mind she is falling backwards, via the baptism pool, into the Rabbit Hole). Her friends and colleagues think she is crazy. Unfortunately, she makes the mistake of walking into the door of a carriage led by the first interesting/attractive Pied Piper parade that marches into town (a metaphor for following false religious cults and gurus, I believe). Note that the marchers and musicians look deathly pale, and are dressed in black and dark colours, as if they are from the Underworld. In the third video (this one), at the very beginning appears a barn owl. Owls are often associated with the Underworld, in many religious traditions. (Fans of the film Labyrinth will recall that the Goblin King, who rules 'The Underground', transforms into a barn owl.) Our protagonist's stumbling search to find her way on her spiritual journey attracts the interest of the Devil (Russell Brand dressed as the Mad Hatter, to the waitress's Alice). He lectures her about the nature of the Universe, of Yin vs. Yang, how good cannot exist without evil, that light cannot exist without darkness. His lair is filled with the colour red (but some objects are blue, as if to illustrate the Yin-Yang principle). With the help of his 'nieces' (demons), he forces her to drink his toxic elixir - but is interrupted by a flashing vision of her baptism in the pool by her Guardian Angel. "It's Noel Gallagher!" The force of the vision removes Alice from the Devil's lair, back into the Real World, where she is stumbling around, lost... The Devil quickly sends his demon chicks to go look for her in the Real World. One of the demons wears a top that says 'Low Flying Owls', which refers to her status as a servant of the Underworld (and is also a pun on 'High Flying Birds'). Owls are also birds of prey. They need a vehicle, so they steal one from a couple of gullible men who are seduced by their good looks. There is a naked Barbie doll hanging by her hair from the car's dashboard, she is bound up in rope (I'm still trying to work out what that means. It could be a reference to the Devil card in the Tarot, in which the artwork shows the Devil has his servants bound in his thrall.) Meanwhile, the Angel is also trying to locate Alice. Alice wakes up in the middle of the desert, she is trying to remember how she got there, and is stumbling around, confused. The two demons finally find her in the desert. They grab her, knock her out with a chloroform-like substance, and throw her in the boot of their car. More owl imagery. Noel appears at a truck stop. He has a blue vehicle (the opposite of the Devil's red), and he is pretending that the car has broken down. He asks the demon chicks if they could give him a lift. They think he's cute (lol!), so they let him in. He finds their Soulsucker™ video camera, and trains it on them. They seem to have forgotten that it's a Soulsucker, or maybe they're not afraid, because they don't think they have souls, or perhaps they are vain about their hot looks, and want to be recorded. Eventually, they get erased from the Real World and disappear into the video camera. The Angel locks it inside a box, and binds it in chains for good measure. He then goes to the back of the car and opens the boot, rescuing a crying and grateful Alice. She then gets in the passenger seat, and Noel, her Guardian Angel, drives her on the correct path, the righteous path, and she is finally safe and happy... (I just realised that her outfit is blue and white, which is the opposite of the red and black of the Devil's lair. I went back and watched the previous video, and realised that the marching band members are wearing the red and black colours of the Underworld.) ~ The End ~ Does anyone know who directed these videos? :)

+Beatlesque You're a real GENIOUS! Amazing interpretation! Now I finally understand some parts of the videos, thank you! There's just one little thing I can't understand: is "Alice" the bride in the first video (If I Had A Gun) with just another haircolor? I'm wondering this because the blonde woman in the second video (The Death Of You And Me) looks lile the mother of the bride, and the musiciens at the wedding are the same. Do you think it's so? Thanks with anticipation for the answer★ Ps. Your interpretation is the best c:
Thank you so much, Mariana and Simona. :) I did put a lot of thought into this. OMG!!! I'm just rewatching 'If I Had a Gun' and just realised that the bride's dad is the actor who played the infamous Irish mobster 'Ian Doyle' in last night's episode of Criminal Minds!!! xD Love that guy!
I think part of why Russell Brand was able to get away with abuse for so long is that he was hiding in plain sight. So many times he used his sheer charisma to make his creepy red flag behavior seem like quirky fun, giving the impression of a silly boy with a sort of whimsical roguish charm. I think this helped him both come across as a likeable fellow and hide the most sinister parts of his behavior. It explains how Noel Gallagher and others could be good friends with him and really not be aware of the awful things he was doing, even when he openly hinted at it, it always seemed like just a joke. Russell Brand's "bad guy" image, before all his biggest allegations and controversies, used to come from him being so openly promiscuous and seen as a wacky seducer, a naughty but harmless handsome actor. This video was made over a decade ago. I have no doubt in my mind that Noel would not have allowed this video to be made today, after the serious allegations against Brand by multiple people with a bunch of evidence to back it up and investigation ongoing. The whole point of the video is that it's supposed to be a lighthearted, fun, whimsical trip in the vein of "The Importance of Being Idle". In committing those crimes, not only did Brand harm people, he also harmed a lot of art (such as this music video), which will now be seen in a more sinister light, thus warping its meaning for people who never got to see it back when as absurd and weird as it is, was kind of funny. It's sort of like how Ron Jeremy would have cameos in music videos and him just being there was the punchline. Used to be funny like, "Haha is that Ron Jeremy?!" but not so much anymore. The situation with Brand is unfortunate and Noel didn't do anything wrong. In fact, I think Noel was wronged, and so were we. Brand let down not only his victims, but his friends and fans of his work and fans of the work of people he associated with like Noel. And the director of this music video... Must have felt amazing to have produced something for Noel Gallagher, and must suck years later to have your work tainted by a cast member's actions and the way people perceive the video you were once proud of altered so much.
This song was playing the exact moment my beautiful daughter made her way into the world. Thanks Noel this song is so special.
Just keep your daughter away from Russell Brand and his magic love potion, o.k?

Oasis - Noel = 2 AMAZING bands!
Beautifaul song!!!!!
did any one notice on one of the girls shirts not long after the music started her top had low flying owls on as apposed to high flying birds
This American song is underrated it deserves to have more.
Russell Brand doing his impersonation of Every teenage girls Father's WORST NIGHTMARE (A.K.A. Himself) ends at 3:30 then you can enjoy the Song.
Impersonation? I think not!
best video ever! one of the best songs written by Noel G.
