The most impressive thing to me about that apartment was the placement of the art on the walls and how at sunset the light from the windows fell perfectly between the canvases… knowing full well that as the seasons changed that would not happen year round, but it was pretty cool.
@@martinseiler96 Steinway concert grand D274 costs $170,000, which is nothing for the buyer, it's a top quality instrument that most of these multi millionaires probably look at as a piece of furniture.
bruh living in an open warehouse space would be dope tho, i just love imagining dropping acid while sitting on a nice couch in a warehouse open space style home
Stunning! You could actually add some of the amenities in the apartment. Down stairs I’d maybe add a small workout space with a peloton treadmill and Design Lab. With more than 50% of the unit upstairs you could add a master, jr, master, 1loft area, possibly a lap pool and sauna. Don’t really need a media room. I’d add some smart technology including sound considering the size of the space.
Why does the floor look so shabby, dirty and scratched? Honestly, Jeffree Star's 14 million mansion in Hidden Hills, California looks so much more impressive.
It's an unfinished apartment, anyone buying this would expect to spend another $2-10m on renovations to make it more comfy and stylish. They're really paying $40m just for the space and view, the rest is up to them. Actually having a fancier floor would probably make it less attractive to some buyers since there's a fair chance they'd want to redo it and it's easier to not have to also remove old flooring.
I know this place is ENORMOUS. But I’ve never seen a massive apartment in NYC that looks actually comfortable and homey! How does an apartment this massive still have warmth and gentleness in it?! I legit love it.
Assuming you're making more millions as time goes by, you could just mortgage it. Though realistically speaking, no multi-millionaire would spend their entire fortune on one apartment or house. This apartment is probably aimed more at the people with 9-digit fortunes or more.
It's very tasteless.Lacks function and perfect for classless, tasteless nouveau rich. I love the Mansions they build on top of the roofs of NYC buildings. Great views,
Most valuable thing about this appartment is that you live in a building where you have to share most of the amenities with other wealthy people (like the fitness centre & swimming pool). There is literally no better oppurtunity to network with the other elite living in NY.
It's just a standard showroom for clients, no one lives there yet. The beds are not even done and the bedrooms are empty. The furniture is eclectic and all over the place, so the client can have some kind of idea, about how to take advantage of that huge space, in the future.
That living room would feel like living in a train station or airplane terminal, with really nice art on the walls. It's like they forgot this was supposed to be a home, not a place for people to wait for their plane to take off. Grotesque!
I remember seeing this apartment for sale about 3-4 years ago for about 6 million dollars I think. The huge living room is in actuality a ballroom that they obviously re-did. They modernized the apartment but I liked the older traditional beautiful wood that they had before much more. Also that unit has incredible balconies that you guys did not really show that much...

I so love this place! It's huge and I think that means it's perfect for hosting events and pretending to be Gatsby for laughs. Plus, that extra space has so much potential to make it suite your needs and personality.
@Emily I think "servant," as a word to describe a person, is tone deaf and out of touch. I usually don't feel this way about words, but this one really stings of elitism. There are more noble ways to describe one who serves others.
Servant does not mean slave. Servants have rights, just like anyone else does, and the pay rate for being a servant for whoever owned that apartment would be generous to say the least. People just want to be offended by everything these days.
tehgjunki I am one of those people usually saying you shouldn’t be offended by a word, and I’m not offended, I just believe the mega rich using “servant” sounds very antiquated, and is a bad look for them. i.e. If I said, “Would you like to be my servant.” You’d look at me like an elitist asshole . If I said, “Would you like to be my maid/butler/vallet/chef” etc. you’d probably think of me better. It speaks a bit more to the autonomy of the person. Come on, would you like to be called someones servant? If you did, would you tell people who asked what you do for a loving that you’re a servant? No, you wouldn’t, you’d find a more dignified word to describe yourself. I think would be multi-million dollar employers should do the same.

Tailor: how short do you want your suit sleeves?
Erik: Yes
jiggatasticly 🤣
Disgusting right?
No socks, pants cut wrong... too short, too tight, jacket too tight. I would sooo fire the taylor! Or the personal fashion advisor!
id rather have a cabin in the woods for 50,000 or less
Then Blair witch would definitely hunt you some night
All that money and neither one of them can find a suit that fits.
WOW GREAT VIDEO NICE
You read my mind!! 🤣
Exactly
Lmao... they’re dressed proper. Not in baggy ass ashy pants and jacket like you probably dress in
hahah .... so right 😂
This feels like i’ve just watched a gossip girl episode
jajajaajja
LOL!!!! True!
I was thinking that exaaact thing when watching it lol
Yessss hahaha

Insane space, but honestly this looks like a hotel... Feels very impersonal.
I think maybe because of the plain furniture
Thought the same it feels so uncomfortable to live
Needs more decor. I see the potential.
@@Alexandrank8
Agree. A home should feel inviting...
First thing I thought of was If I was to buy for 40 million i'd want that IKEA-looking furniture out of there before I step foot inside!
That apartment needs LOTS OF HOUSE PLANTS. There’s no green , Erik.

It seems the colour green or brown or any earthy colours, seem to be a sin nowadays, Darling. Sadly.
Taste has gone completely, to the gutter, as far as I'm concerned.
My Retro/Vintage Best. Out.
It looks like a gym
The most impressive thing to me about that apartment was the placement of the art on the walls and how at sunset the light from the windows fell perfectly between the canvases… knowing full well that as the seasons changed that would not happen year round, but it was pretty cool.
you need a Grand Piano in the main entertainment space... THAT will make it perfect. Incredible layout
You right! There is so much creatively that can be done with that space.
do you have an idea how much a grand piano costs?🤦🏻♂️
@@martinseiler96 concert piano new runs 6 figures.
Martin Seiler Not much for a rich person
@@martinseiler96 Steinway concert grand D274 costs $170,000, which is nothing for the buyer, it's a top quality instrument that most of these multi millionaires probably look at as a piece of furniture.
You can keep your luxury apartment, I'll take the countryside with with fresh air and tend to my garden and 5 acres of lush grass.

Yeah, I'd rather live near a nice beach tbh. Doesn't take much to be happy
Green Acres is the place for you purple!

Well done! More New York City.
the inside looks like a big warehouse with furniture, it's definitely not even worth a million..
Bruh stop
it’s more about the location not the decor and design lol
It's like he said, you're buying a piece of the new york skyline
bruh living in an open warehouse space would be dope tho, i just love imagining dropping acid while sitting on a nice couch in a warehouse open space style home
It's expensive because its in New York City not because of the furniture bruhh
Never clicked a video so fast

It's in the heart of NYC and is at the top of a skyscraper...
jeffree star is trash
Kathleen Parker so is your opinion sweetie
That place is tacky!
Wish I could gift this to my hard working parents... they deserve it.
If i had 40 mil and saw the deep frier, i'd buy right away no questions asked
and partition off the living room and not worry about finishing the house.
LOL!!!

I know this place is ENORMOUS. But I’ve never seen a massive apartment in NYC that looks actually comfortable and homey! How does an apartment this massive still have warmth and gentleness in it?! I legit love it.
Imaging having 39.9 million dollars and STILL being to poor for this house
@Nordic God no money left since the 2nd floor isn't even finished yet
Lol you could prob talk them down
Assuming you're making more millions as time goes by, you could just mortgage it.
Though realistically speaking, no multi-millionaire would spend their entire fortune on one apartment or house. This apartment is probably aimed more at the people with 9-digit fortunes or more.
@Nordic God if u have 39m just to spare and u dont really have much things to spend on, u must be worth hundreds of millions to buy this
You'd need to put down 8 million to own it. FYI.
It's very tasteless.Lacks function and perfect for classless, tasteless nouveau rich.
I love the Mansions they build on top of the roofs of NYC buildings.
Great views,
imagine calling the ambulance because you hurt yourself skateboarding in your NYC apartment
mlxndr lmao
or imagine having spiderman taking everything from you there.
Ambulance fee $3000
¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯
Haahahhahah this made my day
Most valuable thing about this appartment is that you live in a building where you have to share most of the amenities with other wealthy people (like the fitness centre & swimming pool). There is literally no better oppurtunity to network with the other elite living in NY.
The living room looks like an Ikea furniture showcase
It's just a standard showroom for clients, no one lives there yet. The beds are not even done and the bedrooms are empty. The furniture is eclectic and all over the place, so the client can have some kind of idea, about how to take advantage of that huge space, in the future.
Cactez so plain
My question is:
Who can clean this whole house? 😅😂
Not the owner! That's for sure!
You'd need to hire a whole team!
90 maids
giantmidget08 haha
giantmidget08 and they’ll all live in fear of their children being sold into sex trafficking if they get deported hahaha
Imagine going into a forty million dollar apartment and keeping your shoes on
The person who buys this apartment is probably wearing $20,000 shoes
You americans are weird like why would you have shoes on any apartment/house
That living room would feel like living in a train station or airplane terminal, with really nice art on the walls. It's like they forgot this was supposed to be a home, not a place for people to wait for their plane to take off. Grotesque!
I remember seeing this apartment for sale about 3-4 years ago for about 6 million dollars I think. The huge living room is in actuality a ballroom that they obviously re-did. They modernized the apartment but I liked the older traditional beautiful wood that they had before much more. Also that unit has incredible balconies that you guys did not really show that much...
Do u have a link
This guy knows how many people you could fit anywhere.
I've noticed that since you started uploading these types of videos, the subscribers have grown, which means you're going well erick,

In 2014, they said it would cost $100 mil. In 2018, it was listed for $59 mil. In 2019, it was $40 mil.

“Servants Quarters”
Honestly, I think that staircase compliments the living room very well.
my man said "servant's quarters" in the year 2019
@Emily I think "servant," as a word to describe a person, is tone deaf and out of touch. I usually don't feel this way about words, but this one really stings of elitism. There are more noble ways to describe one who serves others.
@Nordic God bro what? No it's not
@@Justin.Danford You just completely contradicted yourself
