Have you ever experienced the thrills of skiing or snowboarding at Eagle Point Ski Resort in Utah?

Have only snowboarded the backcountry in the Tushar mountains and stayed in a yurt two nights - it was fun but lots of snowmobilers around so it wasn't "solace" -- but haven't done Eagle Pt (formerly Elk Meadows - which was closed down when we took the backcountry tour). Will have to try 'er out 🤙🏽

No kidding. Season pass holder for years now--sssshhh; nothing to see here.... Eagle Point is the soul of skiing. I have skied most everywhere--adventure travel business owner. Hokkaido Japan my favorite on earth, Montana has some great ones like this also, but Eagle Point is really a gem. Snow has been great the last few years. Y'all can just stay up there on the Wasatch Front and pay $200 a day lift ticket and stand in 30 minute lift lines. I will be in the POW pretty much by myself most weekends now at Eagle.

A couple of things I remember about going to Eagle Point two years ago - The lifties were super stoked. They always spoke to you as you got on the lift and pumped you up for another ride. That crazy bus system - to get back to the top where I parked. The bus kept stopping at people's houses on the way up. This resort is never crowded and great for beginners.

So cool to read that! It's always great to read people reminiscing about their childhood memories and the places that helped shape them.

Not from Utah but have skied there 2 or 3 trips each year since 2000. It was all good until Ikon and buyouts. I wasn't planning on going to Utah this season, but now you have me second guessing myself.

To be balanced, you should also point out that Eagle Point is only open on the weekends and that they normally don't get the snow accumulation that the Northern Wasatch resorts get. ie not reliably deep; but it does help that there are not many visitors and it's closed more than it's open.

You are not wrong, it's several factors that make it such a lovely place to visit

It's open Friday-Monday and everyday during holiday periods. And an average of 350" per season. It's fine to be balanced but please be accurate as well

The host is actually a great skier. IDK why but it bugs me so much he's got his jacket neck unzipped with midlayer hood uyntucked and flapping about
