After watching this clip i realised life really does pass bye so so quickly, I remember watching Dick turpin and robins nest as a ten year old, Those familiar faces that we remember on our tv so well in our childhood are still around, and to see them now is to take us for a split second that time we cherished as a child! What a wonderful and amazing life Richard o Sullivan had!

This is a wonderful reminder of all my childhood and in to adult life - Richard O'Sullivan was my favourite actor throughout, his versatility was commendable. What a career and what actors he played alongside - giants of the big screen at that and was equal to them. Thank you Mark for this! Surely Richard deserves a MBE or OBE for services to film and TV ! Can we start a campaign to get his career fully recognised - Unless he already has been awarded one which I can't see!

What Happened To Richard O' Sullivan 1231pm 14.7.22 hmmmmmmmmm...(pensive mode) me and my girl was decidedly dodgy if you had a certain frame of mind but i am pretty dumb and never saw anything overtly dodgy about that sit-com. i did forget he had starred in dick turpin - which isn't too bad. can be seen, on occasion, on itv4 if you care to catch that show. i'm here as thumb nail kept parading on the you tube web site demanding i see what happened to richard o'sullivan. can't say i recall his film with boris karloff - now that's got to be a boon(?) robin's nest was more preferable to view than man about the house, though. richard o'sullivan as a bit of a daddy-o. well i never. now i have seen the film cleopatra and.. well.... shame on me for not realising.

You are an excellent presenter and narrator! Very interesting... my first memories in life were like these, watching TV early evenings in the late 70's!

The Dick Turpin tv series was - to those of us of a certain age - quite deep in terms of character building, I was 10 in 1980, as impetuous as Swiftnick and hadn't a father around so Richard was a genuine role model, if you're reading this Richard please be aware of your contribution, you helped a lot of us through some dark times, your own character shone through the fiction which is why your performance hit home so hard, thankyou sir

yes i also watched a bit of Dick Turpin but i thought it was boring. I manly know him in comedy robin nest in the 70's and man about the house also the cliff Richards films summer holidays and a few other comedy's. Most of these actor's i know back in the days are no longer with us and just seeing them todays brings back a lot of memories for me back when i was a kid in the 70's growing up

I loved the Dick Turpin series. I also vaguely remember another series as well. I think it was called The Big Apple with Tim Brook Taylor and Samantha Bond/Womack.

@@sparkstron73 the one armed Irish guy was so good, his comedy timing was impeccable, as most good comedians were back then, and Dick Turpin was great too, I used to always get home in time to watch it, no matter what I was up to in the street.
