Me too, im just MAD at GGG, they've had so much time to get POE2 to a satisfying point and release it, instead of filling the EA with content we got some empty dark souls game and a hull with 3 new acts and new graphics. Absolutely devastated, endgame is just unrewarding and dull
just hop in blind, the difficulty curve is very flat and only spikes late in deepspace. you can also get to maps in like 3 hours and respecs are free until level 90.
They definitely get a low changed and added each season. Last season felt too grindy after T7, but I think they want to keep it that way going forward. At least according to Andre's video from a few weeks ago. The only real demotivator in the game for me is the seasonal pet. It just seems too good for seasonal drops and makes it a bit too P2W in terms of getting more loot than people that don't have it. It leaves a bad taste in ones mouth.
@@DonTheCrown that takes a VERY long time to do and by then you've had a LOT of hours without it that others had it. It just isn't great. And next season there's a brand new one for the new mechanics.
Hey Don, great vid. I tried TLI for the first time last season and had a great time. Just barely cracked into TM8s. As someone who loves endgame, I wish there was a guide for like an introduction into the endgame systems. I got a decent feel for the TMs/Atlas system they have but wasn't sure about a lot of the season mechanics, compasses, systems, card decks, etc. I saw that candles were an important part of progressing your chat but didn't even know where to get them outside of the auction house lol. Would love some sort of resource for things to make sure to do once you're entering endgame and maybe optimal ways to farm league mechanics to build currency to progress into deep space. Seems like the western audience is fairly limited in helpful guides available.
I would think with youtube and reddit there should be plenty of resources out there on how to progress through endgame. If now, content creators are missing opportunities to put out those videos and get lots of views.
@@down-the-rabbit-hole There are a few but far less than what you'd imagine and my issue so far is that the (very limited) amount of stuff out there is sort of outdated because of how much changes season to season. I found a crafting video from 2 seasons ago that was no help because they redid crafting completely last season. It's just not a very popular game in the west. There are a metric shitton of resources out there on the internet for the game the problem is.. they're almost entirely in Chinese.
@@Cantstop991 I understand. Are you just trying to find guides on crafting or something? Maxroll has some great guild guides that a few of my friends have ran and said they were fantastic. With endgame I think you just have to build your character based upon what you desire, but that's the fun part. Not sure if Maxroll has any crafting guides though.
:x Sorry I think i glossed it over, but the 3 free legend pets came from the 7-day login, the supreme feast challenge thing and? I miss the other one T_T just came back to try the game, last time was at the very first season it came out. It's soooo much different, to be frank, way way better now!
@@DonTheCrown Thanks man, just a quick question though, is it normal for TLI to carry over seasonal features to the next season? I was pretty blown away by the amount of things you can grind for, candles, destinies, support skills and statues of gods. My only experience with ARPG was poe 2, which I did enjoyed, but decided to take a break until the next big update. Also, another question, is it worth it to try to get one of the legend loot pets? I have 3k jagged primo (free from playing the game) and 10 purple rolls for pack spirit, and I'm somewhat afraid to spend them. I can get all of the battle pets that I want want from the free chest (your latest video really helps), but from your opinion, which one of the loot pets is great?
If we don't manage to get the legendary pact spirit from supreme showdown this season, will we have the chance to get two in the new season from the supreme showdown?
@@Internetworrier I'm not sure on the exact math but as long as you clear through stage 18 each season you should be able to get the legendary pact spirit for nine leagues out of 10 or at least that's what somebody from chat said
hey man - could you maybe do a video about potential starters? i always find it super hard to find reliable information as a starter build. Thanks in advance =)
Picking up Flame Sand on endgame is just meh. Simply go to Canvas and collect 60fe at least without pets. No need to convert Flame Sand, it will be used very early, otherwise waste of time to pick up (for f2p players) and it will be probably hidden by most of players (I always hide flame sand)
Wait, the season pet rework is actually worse in terms of pay to win? I mean, you're kinda screwed in Torchlight unless you're spending tens or hundreds of bucks per season for p2w mechanics and they make it worse each season. I think it's safe to say they're on par with Fifa's loot boxes at this point.
@@BGriffith85 I was 100% in the same camp and then I just played more and it didn't bother me anymore. And the gameplay and gear progression really roped me in

I really like the crafting and itemization in TLI and not having to manage and click a ton of loot all the time. I like blasting maps, I dislike leaving map to trade only for guy to cancel/scam/take forever.
Sorry but at it's current state, how is poe 2 not a boring slog? You get to endgame and then it's boredom city. At least with TLI you have tons of options and much much better dops(aka dopamine). compared to poe 2 Not to mention the new season looks fantastic! There is pretty much zero dopamine in poe 2.If you think there is dopamine in poe 2, please tell me where it is.
imagine saying the fundamentals of ARPG on poe2 do not exist. and then go and make a video about torchlight.... lost all gaming respect i had for this bloke
I like torchlight because the loot and dopamine is so much better than poe 2. Maybe not better than poe 1, but for sure poe 2. I myself am ready to give up poe 2, because once you get to endgame is boredom city.
burnt out from poe2, can't wait for torchlight to bring back the fun in arpgs!
just doing the too long act 1 to 3 two time in poe2 got me burned and when i got to endgame i was like thats it hunt rares in map NAH XD

Great video, I normally skip through videos, but watched the whole thing. Great pacing.
they got me with the huge BOOBA
True that waa huge booz
i didn't think they make them like this anymore
its how they always get cutedog to swipe $3k each season
Perfect timing for this, I was just hitting the wall in PoE2. They keep dropping consistent improvements. Can’t wait.
glad your keeping up with TLI updates, they make so many changes each season i wouldnt be able to know whats going on without some help.
Thanks for making me excited about this season. Nice break from POE2.
So glad to get another season been loving torchlight lately.
So keen for this! It’s also my favourite arpg.
Do you recommend just jumping into TLI for a first playthrough? Or a more guided experience a la POE build guides?

its weird that 20% cdr in divinity slot is better than 200% in the weapon. weird as hell
I have no idea how the new pactspirit system works, but I'm excited to play this season. New hero looks fun
You get to use 3 battle pacts AND 3 drop pacts at all times. You can replace pactapirit nodes with select stats that drop in the new season mechanic.
