Was just reading on the web that this album shouldn't have been released. I say they are out of their minds for even saying it. It is what it is and worth every morsel of ear candy to listen to. Long live Led Zeppelin!
My nephew who likes cRAP music knows who Zeppelin are , and likes their music. Unfortunately he still listens to cRAP , I'm slowly starting to convert him to the music of the 70's . Zeppelin is a good start. He needs to turn away from The Dark Side , & be a part of " The Church of Zeppelin "
Greatest Rock Band to walk God's green earth. Pure and simple. What Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John Bonham accomplished in 12 years. Simply mind boggling
Absolutely THE VERY BEST! There is, without a doubt, many great bands! BUT...Led Zeppelin? Nothing compares!! Their work is phenomenal, timeless, unmatched! ❤✌🎶🎸🎤🥁💯‼
I thought I knew everything Zeppelin. It is so cool to hear new Zep @ 60yrs. old I won't be able to sleep tonight. Thankyou who ever is responsible for me hearing this!
There are chords of other songs like “I’m gonna leave you” in “Pipes and Flamenco” you can hear the first albums progression, these songs are precious in that sense
Best band?? Really??? Hahaha. Nice joke anyway. Those cunts made a career stealing songs from mostly unfamous people (except Small Faces and some R&B black musicians). They should be excluded from the music history and put in jail.
Yeah, they actually did...but they're ZEPPELIN. Listening to this just strengthens their badassness and musicianship. Truly they never thought that their musical, uh, borrowing well, yes thievery would be discovered on this Internet thing. but goddamn they fucking rock in this recording. WOWWW!! Bonzo is awesome.
I will always love their live performances but it can not be avoided the historical fact that they plagiarized a lot of music and were sued for it. Just saying.
Anyone who questions the Validity of this Album and Nitpicks, is truly not a Zeppelin Fan. These are Songs saved from various Sources and just shows the Cosmic Chemistry between the Four Rocks Gods that made Led Zeppelin. 💖
As a long time Zep fan, I have always been on a quest to hear EVERYTHING they have ever done. That is a tall order, what with all these bootlegs that are surfacing on the internet. This is an awesome collection of live outtakes and covers. They really rocked up the tunes!!!! Zep forever!!!
I guess I have been living under a rock but nonetheless for me this is NEW MATERIAL FROM MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BAND!!! As I write this I have fkn goosebumps after hearing 'Cmon Everybody'. I have died and gone to heaven.
This album is songs they had on the back-burner's just like the The album (Coda) if you listen to this and coda, you'll hear All the similarities of their early days of jamming and putting songs together. Jimmy has probably ALOT more material that will most likely surface.. People like Us will gladly pay tribute to the most regarded band in history..
It was destiny that these four individuals would come together for a short moment in time. And one can only say that because of the pure metaphysical nature each member has and in the music they created as they traveled down the road.
My first ever and best ‘ gig Led Zepp Cardiff Dec 12th 72 ! Ticket cost £1.50 was blessed to see them another 5 times and met Plant ( Aslam) in the famous ( or infamous!!) Rockfield studios Monmouth SWales the band reached heights never since achieved’ musical genius - than you for sharing

I grew up in the 70's and led zeppelin was always in the game no matter who else was. I can certainly appreciate that someone dug up this whole album from some dusty shelf in a studio
"Swan Song" on this list was later made, in part, into "Midnight, Moonlight Lady", the last song on The Firm's first album. Wow those Bonzo drums really made that magical.
It would be nice if they make another zep movie with more footage of Bonham. Can't get enough of anything he does. just watch him unreal.I luv zep 4 life. ALOHA.
dude seriously? you cannot make a comment and not read! This was about snare sound...look up "snare" then think, then move on...you have no clue what I said!

Zep were great fans of Eddie Cochran. Really good cover of C'mon Everybody. In the BBC sessions you can find the cover of Somethin' Else, also excellent. They loved rock'n roll.

Good post DM. I find it hard to even understand "critque" when it comes to music. You like it or you don't,.. you didn't write it, so its value remains the same from front to back.
I think I understand what you are saying, but a critic worth his or her salt will generally compare a particular song against the output of the band and the general music situation of the era. This has value and can help a person when exploring music which may be unfamiliar to the individual. With a collection like this, it is a bit difficult to do really follow this pattern. This is a glimpse into the creative process. The band and their support determined these songs weren't viable for an "official release" but they show some of the spontaneity and musical exploration of the band. This is something the fan might appreciate, but has little value to the "general public."
I so wish Plant had worked with Page to finish Swan Song. I think it was recorded during the Physical Graffiti sessions. It would have been a masterpiece, up there with Ten Years Gone. It's true that Page did turn it into Midnight Moonlight for the Firm, but it's so much better as a Zeppelin song IMHO.
Wow! I'd imagine these tracks were recorded throughout the tenure of the band. From 1968 - 1980. The cover of Long Talk Sally has some great guitar playing. Thanks 👍🏼
The end of swan song sounds like midnight moonlight lady. These sound like recordings made while developing songs. Very interesting indeed. They were a wonderful group of accomplished players. Its nice to hear stuff that hasn't been overplayed on the radio. I really wish Jimmy would release some more songs they had developed but not released, from his vault of recoudings.
I wondered if anybody else caught that! Lol! Good ears, my friend. I saw Zep at MSG in NYC in 1977. I miss them. They captured/created an age in music. My younger brother & I played a lot of LZ in our band when we were young men. My brother passed 18 years ago. He was a great guy & a great bassist. I miss him, too, so much. Peace.
It's not Jimmy on harmonica, it's Robert. No guitar because Jimmy has a broken string. You can hear Robert's intro here: ruclips.net/video/S_P0SUNT70E/видео.html
When you have so many great songs it is little wonder that these got dropped from the album list. Any other band would be proud to habe them on thier albums. It just goes to show what a great band Led Zep was - and still is.
I must say that listening to Led Zeppelin, which lives in popular music world but doesn't need all the marketing around them to be worth listening and enjoying, made me realize that music cannot stop and has to continue searching new directions. Even pop music can live without the glossy envelope. Anyway, new directions and new music atmospheres specially gathering from the past is the best way to continue cultivating mind and spirit and that is what I found in a an almost unknown young italian group Promenade. Their first album , Noi al dir di noi, is surprinsingly good and filled with nothing but good music, like Crisantemo or Il Secondo Passo, but the first track - Athletics - is my favorite track.
Led Zерреlіn - The Lоst Аlbum (2017) Recently, the network appeared information about the alleged the just-released new album Led Zeppelin The Lost Album, which included unreleased songs. The official sources give no information about such release no. It turned out that the publication is, of course, unofficial, and entered him a variety of recordings, from concert performances to obscure Studio outtakes. Below is information about each song in this collection. 1. Autumn Lake - a piece of music from the film "the song remains the same". Appropriate scene can be viewed at the link: ruclips.net/video/DKnaFV6EV0s/видео.html 2. C'mon Everybody - a cover of Eddie Cochran. Live at the Royal Albert Hall, 9 January 1970 3. It'll Be Me (With Mick Ralphs) - song by Jack Clement, popularized by Jerry Lee Lewis. Performed Led Zeppelin Mick Ralphson from Bad Company on 22 may 1977 in Fort worth. 4. I Gotta Move - cover song by Otis rush. This entry probably made in Stockholm March 14 1969 5. Swan Song - instrumental composition written by Jimmy page in 1974 and never released on official publications, however, which gave the name of his own label and Led Zeppelin. 6. Pipes And Flamenco - outtake from Olympic Studios, October 1968 Why in this collection he has the same name, remains a mystery. 7. Long Tall Sally - cover of the song little Richard. Live at the Royal Albert Hall, 9 January 1970 8. Georgia On My Mind - the song popularized by ray Charles. Live Led Zeppelin salt lake city may 26, 1973 9. Nut Rocker - the song popularized by Bumble and the Stingers, based on Tchaikovsky's music. Several times the age of Led Zeppelin in 1977 during the improvisations. This recording is likely from may 22, 1977 Fort worth. PS And cover of this album is mirrored rock Hermit from the inner turn of Led Zeppelin IV.

Led Zeppelin I, II, & III are all good. My favorite from the band is Physical Graffitti. Kashmir is the greatest ever put together by the band...and it's only my opinion.
The music they self rejected is better than most music that gets accepted by any other artist!
Best band ever !!!!!
I am proud to say that I grew up in the 70's in the mighty days of Led Zepplin!
Same here!!
long live the 70’s
Be aware of the ritual they took part in to not only reach the status they did but to help write some of the music as well
75 and still a lover of LZ!!
Same here ,saw them on their last gig in the UK ,Knebworth
"ZEPPELIN"
How am I just now hearing about this in 2024? This is all great shit!
Was just reading on the web that this album shouldn't have been released. I say they are out of their minds for even saying it. It is what it is and worth every morsel of ear candy to listen to. Long live Led Zeppelin!
What is and what should never be…
My nephew who likes cRAP music knows who Zeppelin are , and likes their music.

Zeppelin is a good start.
He needs to turn away from The Dark Side , & be a part of " The Church of Zeppelin "
If you like music you've got to love led zeppelin
Heard "Stairway to Heaven" when I was ten years old.
Haven't been the same ever since.

I fortunately saw them, Oakland, July 24th 1977…unfortunately it was their last American concert.
Saw them the 23rd
Saw them in Phx same year, also Long Beach Arena in 75 3rd row center.

Wow, a bonanza, thank you. True zeppelin people can't get enough.
Thank you, enjoy!

Peace.
Jimmy Page playing harmonica on "I Gotta Move" 07:21
No guitar! Bonzo playing light!! Fat bass from JPJ and Robert Plant singing... Fantastic!!!
It's not Jimmy on harmonica, it's Robert. No guitar because Jimmy has a broken string. You can hear Robert's intro here:

Their first album , Noi al dir di noi, is surprinsingly good and filled with nothing but good music, like Crisantemo or Il Secondo Passo, but the first track -
Athletics - is my favorite track.
Led Zерреlіn - The Lоst Аlbum (2017)
Recently, the network appeared information about the alleged the just-released new album Led Zeppelin The Lost Album, which included unreleased songs. The official sources give no information about such release no. It turned out that the publication is, of course, unofficial, and entered him a variety of recordings, from concert performances to obscure Studio outtakes. Below is information about each song in this collection.
1. Autumn Lake - a piece of music from the film "the song remains the same". Appropriate scene can be viewed at the link: ruclips.net/video/DKnaFV6EV0s/видео.html
2. C'mon Everybody - a cover of Eddie Cochran. Live at the Royal Albert Hall, 9 January 1970
This entry probably made in Stockholm March 14 1969
Live at the Royal Albert Hall, 9 January 1970
8. Georgia On My Mind - the song popularized by ray Charles. Live Led Zeppelin salt lake city may 26, 1973

@charleswilliams9757 I’d take the first six songs from P.G. and put them up against any album released since the beginning of time…
