As a brit, I can confirm that this is very British. Quite accurate if you've ever spoken to an old lady here.

Jezza's about to be one today.. wouldn't want to make fun of them and have to think about it while struggling to take a shit without assistance or just trying to pick something up.
On that note though, I'm really quite sad to see Jeremy's health declining so much. I know it comes with age but I just cant help but feel sad to know he's coming to an end sometime and there's no stopping it.
Why's it surprising? He's always respectful to people older than him!

Imagine having it in your car, would it be funny or disastrous?
I'm actually impressed at how Jeremy made a self destruct system that works perfectly fine and no one was harmed, if Hammond is doing that then the car would basically turn into a moving nuclear warhead.
If James had made it, it would just be a little speaker that says "Excuse me loves, but you're going the wrong way."

you do know they're not in the car when the system activates, right? that this is an entertainment tv show. also that none of them make any of these stuff. of course you know that.
I can perfectly get how impressed you are, but what really infuriates me and makes me lose my faith in the future is that absolutely NO ONE has done anything to bring back British automotive industry, which would be a great chance to make quality products, far from British Leyland's (and then Austin-Rover's) disasters. And for extension, to ensure that virtually every EU country has its own automotive industry, so they don't have to rely on German and French manufacturers, basically

its because Jeremy Clarkson was born in the start of the 60's and he's never in military service, nor if any country invaded the UK after WW2. It would be the best way for him to experience the explosions and the banging sounds... Well until Top Gear.

I think the hosts simply lacked the charm we've come to expect, much like the Australian version, they smacked on an accent and figured that was it, but it was just terrible.. Old english men however, they have the mystical british charm =P

I'm only 36 but i absolutely love spending time with the older folks! It really helps my perspective in life and frankly, they have more experience at it than i do, so i appreciate their perspective on matters. Plus, a lot of them are actually still young at heart. Far too many of them have been thrown away and forgotten by their own flesh and blood.

This is absolutely one of my favorite episodes of Top Gear ever, I truly believe the elderly ladies thoroughly enjoyed themselves 👍💯
I can only imagine how fun it must have been for the ladies to get out of the old folks home. A lot of old people get dumped by their families into care homes and as you can imagine, they are bored out of their faces.
