I would also add steel billet main caps instead of the "cracked metal" factory pieces, and all ARP engine studs are bolts.

$15k all in isn’t too bad considering it has a built motor. The thing that I like about this build is that it is mostly a Mopar build. That in itself at a competitive price is pretty cool. I have a lot of aftermarket parts, but am running the 392 cam and Scat Pack Stage three heads. That gives me a bit of pride running those heads. So that HC build is awesome.
There’s no way it’s $15k with the built motor. I think he meant $15k for just the Hellcat Supercharger kit, fueling upgrade, and installation.
if you can figure out how to get used parts in great condition, this is the best route. Having an all mopar OEM ride this unique is amazing.

@@SRT_DREmmx kit is $100, supercharger is $2,000 on Facebook. If you mount it yourself it shouldn’t be super super expensive… keep in mind that doesn’t account for the tune
@@kilo5350 nah. It’s $100 for the MAP sensor with the harness. You’d still need to get all the bypass stuff plus the plates to mount it. You’re looking at about $1400 without the cost of shipping. Your best bet is to just spend the $4500 for the full conversion kit from MMX. And spend the $1500+ for the supercharger.
You’d be $6k into the build without even installing it. I personally wouldn’t do it myself because I wouldn’t want to risk blowing the motor. Then like you said, a tune is needed as well. And depending on the motor, I would probably get it rebuilt to handle the boost. Possibly a 426 upgrade. There’s no way this is a $15k build unless he half assed it and cut corners. It probably cost 15k for all the stuff needed to make the build the right way.

yup. He has built this thing so it can really handle big time HP. Once the hp90 is in, he can start cranking up the boost

The whole conversion is costly, but dope to see on cars that didn’t get the hellcat build. I want a 300 hellcat badly.
Just buy a hellcat engine and transmission they cost around 10-15k both things and just do a swap and done

Twice I missed the end of the video and had to re-watch it so I could comment! Sheesh. That is one sick build! I love it. Knowing that I have enough to build my bottom end now, helps. Trying to decide if I buy a stock 392 engine and build it in my garage at my leisure right now. That way I can enjoy my ride and then do a weekend swap when I'm done. As for the Diablo tune? I haven't noticed a whole lot of difference. The weather is pure crap right now, so I haven't made it back to the track.
I'm kind of surprised you haven't noticed a difference after the 93 tune. I guess the difference was bigger in the 5.7L. That being said I know you're going to break into the 11's with that tune & tires. I like the idea of working on an engine while having the ability to enjoy your ride - having your shaker out of commission starts getting depressing after 2-3 weeks esp on nice days.

That’s because a lot of people think that 392 came out in 2011 but it didn’t. It came out in the 60s yeah actually even earlier but it was a crate motor for years for race cars so it can handle boosting o whatever you throw at it as long as it’s done properly. The problem with our 392 scat packs is the piston ring landing that’s the problem it’s not that the pistons are weak it’s the ring landing.

It will cost ya the same as a whipple all in what u want only gain over car blower it’s looks factory and there good for 760whp
yah I think this route is only good if you have a hook up on used parts in great shape. A whipple is certainly easier but this is cool & unique - but potentially more expensive.

What.. I was really looking forward on the stage kits. I got my scatpack last year. I really enjoy channels like this , getting updates knowledge. Looking for more HP so I can keep my warranty. I really want to be competitive have fun when a mustang pulls up to the line.

The $15k I believe is for parts/labor. He did a great job finding used parts for a good price. Right now he's running around 10lbs of boost making 650whp range. Once he gets an hp90 he can crank it up to 15-20lbs & make 800+whp

10mpg for a 17 gallon tank is 170-180 miles in totality. With gas prices at $6.00 a gallon that’s about $100 to fill. I would cry if that was my daily driver.
yah the gas prices are making it brutal for many V8 owners

While I don't regret it, it definitely hurts the wallet a bit. Luckily I also have an FR-S to offset the costs.

6 lbs is safe. A stock hellcat blower puts out 6psi on a stock 6.4.
If I can get a hellcat motor for 8k would it be cheaper to go that route with the labor it may need?

Get a 392 or 6.1 intake, Long tube headers, CAI and a custom tune to go along with the headers and intake and you’re set, just the basic bolts on

@@RodneyD cold air intake you replace your stock air intake for a aftermarket and it could have hp gains but most likely not it makes your engine sounds nice so it’s worth it

I already have 40 series flow master exhaust and it sounds good. I literally just ordered the pedal commander today. Will the JLT cold intake work and is it the same as the 392 intake??

@@RTLife I’m leaning towards that route plus I don’t see too many doing it I see whipples and others but not many with the hell cat super charger. It’ll make the car a beast I’ll keep u updated on how it turns out
15K 🤯🧠 Hell No...... Your looking at 6k Tops on a torque storm and that's with the high end parts slapped together for complete build. At that price you might as well find a 😺 Motor and transmission set.

What do you mean switching computers?
@@RTLife as in having to unlock his computer to tune it or switch it to an unlock PCM. I heard when you do engine swaps or heavily mod an engine, you have to have an unlocked PCM or change it to the engine swapped
