    Hi Cindy-Lynn! GREAT TIP COMINIG WHEN USINF THE stamp Cleaner “Scrubby” tool. Be sure to read to the end.
    This is my first time on your channel and I learned (after 11 years of not knowing) that my stamps need to be conditioned in addition to being cleaned! SO glad I saw your video!
    So now I have a tip for you and your viewers that have the StampinUp Stamp Cleaner “Scrubby”, as you call it! So there IS a “wet” Side and a Dry side to this tool. When you open the Stamp Cleaner, the interior corners that are grey have Water droplets embossed on the “Wet Side” and a Sun embossed on the “Dry Side”. You may have to turn it right side up to see these embossings, as they are only on the top or bottom. It is very important to use the wet side only for wet and especially the dry side only for dry, I was taught by a demonstrator to always spray the Stamp Mist on the Wet side, clean the stamp while it is still on a block and then dry it on the dry side. This will preserve both sides of your Stamp Cleaner for more effective long-term use of this tool. Hope you find this helpful and I can’t wait to see more videos from you!

    I was the lucky recipient of some 20+ year old red rubber line art stamps. They had some old staz-on on them. Were slightly chalky, and not in great condition. My friend had given up on them. I scrubbed them several times with my staz-on cleaner following up with some Dawn that I keep on my scrubby all of the time. After several attempts of cleaning and conditioning, they are giving me great images! My demonstrator was quite surprised. The staz-on cleaner is the best on the market. If you don't own it, buy it. It can redeem many a mistake. I was afraid to try it on my photo polymer stamps. Thanks for letting me know it is safe!

    Hi from Maryland, USA. This was a great video! Very helpful. I was afraid to clean my shammy with Dawn ( or anything) because of the possible residue, but if the soap left behind will not hurt or dry out the stamps, then “yay”! I also sometimes stamp off the stamp several times on paper before cleaning with the shammy. That way there is less ink staining on the shammy. I don’t like it when the shammy gets too black with staining. 😫 And yes, I clean my stamps EVERY time.

      Warm soap (Dawn dish soap) and water will revive a photopolymer stamp. If it's not photopolymer use Aleene's tack it over and over on the back of the stamp. Let it dry overnight. Then it will stick again.

    I was told to never use StazOn cleaner on photopolymer stamps (I believe even Stampin'Up does not recommend it). I make my own stamp cleaner, and have no problem with it (it has glycerine in it, to condition the stamps). I use a shammy (other brand before Stampin'Up came out with there's) and sometimes my Stampin'Scrub, depending how dirty my stamps are.

    I've had some stamps that have fused to the acetate and the back surface has been damaged while removing them. Do you know of any ways to restore the adhesive back surface when it's been damaged like that, or should I just mount them on cling foam?
    I also have some old stamps that were donated to me that are going sticky and deforming as if they're melting. What causes this? Is there a fix or should I start throwing them out?

    • @_MyInkieFingers
      @_MyInkieFingers  Год назад +3

      Deforming sticky clear stamps are poor quality stamps and unfortunately there's no way to save them. As for the rubber stamps, if it were me I would just remount them 😊

    • @kadeperegrine1456
      @kadeperegrine1456 Год назад

      @@_MyInkieFingers the ones with damaged backs are clear photopolymer (or acrylic), but the back surface was damaged when pulling them off the acetate so they don't stick. I think mounting them as if they were rubber is probably the only solution unless there's a product to resurface the backs

    If the stamp is really really old and Dr u and won't stick will the spray mist fix it, or should I just get new stamp? These are old red stamps from stamping up

    • @_MyInkieFingers
      @_MyInkieFingers  3 года назад +3

      If the rubber is still good (soft and flexible) you can make it re-stick again with Aleene's Tack it Over and Over. I showed it in a video a long time ago but can't for the life of me remember which one. Perhaps I should show it again as a quick Tip in a Tuesday "The Stampin' Chat" video. Now, if your red rubber is all dried up and starting to crack sadly there is nothing you can do about it 😥

    Hi. I have a question about how to make old rubber stamps cling again when you can't get Dawn soap. Is Dawn a regular dish soap? We also don't have Stampin up here in Norway, is there any other products that is similar to the mist? I have started to re organize my rubber stamps on to laminate sheets, but some of the stamps from Club stamp (Club Scrap) is not sticking to the laminate. It's not CS fault, it''s just that the ez mount is old, but it's not hard or dry, so I guess there will be some solution other than try to find new ez mount as they no longer have any in stock in Norwegian craft shops and it's to expensive to buy from other countries as the shipping cost and the VAT is higher than the price of the product and I don't think it's worth 100 dollar to get some ez mount though

    • @_MyInkieFingers
      @_MyInkieFingers  3 года назад +1

      I use "Aleene's Tack it Over and Over" (On Amazon or Craft Supplies stores in North America) and apply it to the back of the EZ Mount sheets to make it tacky and repositionable. I apply it with a paint brush so I can achieve a smooth and even coverage. I can't say what other products may be available to you that are similar to Dawn or the Stampin' Mist, sorry. I won't just tell you 'something' or the sake of telling you something or that I have not tired or believe in. I wish I could have been more helpful xo 💗

    Why do my stamps turn pink and can you clean them clear again

    Is this ok to use? Will it hurt my stamps?!

    • @_MyInkieFingers

      I'm sure baby shampoo is fine. They pink because of the red ink. That's when I use StazOn. But be sure to condition the stamp afterwards. Perhaps even with your ready made mixture of baby shampoo as StazOn is a little harsh. ❤️😊

      Staz on cleaner doesn’t hurt the clear stamps?

    • @_MyInkieFingers
      @_MyInkieFingers  3 года назад +1

      I've been using StazOn for decades never found it does. But I've always used Stampin' Mist afterwards to condition them. It's an extra step or the alternative is to skip the Stazon and have badly stained stamps. I'm too OCD to look at stained stamps! Haha 😂❤️
