      I just started making candles and I had first bought a kit through Amazon. I used the whole wax it came with, then switched to 464 wax from candle science and I pour the fragance @185 and pour it to the candle @135. I use about 11-12% Fragance in my candles. I cure from 1-2 days and while when I lit the candle I smell it... it's not very strong. I'm getting better before I couldn't smell anything at alll. I'm gonna try a smaller percentage of FO and see it it works for me wish me luck.

    Thank you!! Wonderful info!! I am working with beeswax/coconut oil . Wick testing now and used 10% essential oils/natural fragrance blend. I'll sell them as a healthy "air purifier" more than filling a room with heavy scent. I make all natural bath and body products so it fits my brand 😊 Awe , still sleepy from his nap 💙 Blessings! ~jc

    I make melts so I don’t have to worry about wick sizes. 🤦🏾‍♀️I’ve noticed that eco soy waxes are harder to get a good hot throw. I’ll have to try the paraffin blend. Thanks for informing and give the baby a kiss.

    I am a big fan. I have 2 babies in heaven that were still born and have been wanting to start a candle making business to honor their legacy and for my mental and emotional health, it’s so calming to do. I have been trying for over a year now but keep messing up the process. I’m feeling so discouraged. I troubleshoot one thing to be presented with another. But God keeps bring me back to this. I feel this is what I’m supposed to do but I just can’t. I wanted to ask you if you ever have trouble with ambient temperature and humidity and if that has played a part in how bad things can get. I’ m in NJ and there are candling making classes that are done for recreation and was thinking of going for research. I feel like I need someone who knows what they are doing to help me know what I am doing wrong. Please help.

    Hi Paris. I have an issue. I don't understand. The eco soy wax I have access to in my country says 6% FL and the FO says 10%. Which do you use?

    • @LadyCIMONNECandleCo
      @LadyCIMONNECandleCo  2 года назад +1

      If the wax say use a 6% FL then you need to plug that in your formula in order to know how much FO to use. I have two formula videos on my channel to help with that.

  • @ctatro518

    I just started using the same wax as you. I did a peppermint in eucalyptus candle is in eucalyptus candle with CD 12 wick. CT was great HT not so much. I had used 8% FO so this time I whicked up to CD14 and 10% FO. Are your thoughts on that?

    • @LadyCIMONNECandleCo
      @LadyCIMONNECandleCo  2 года назад +2

      First, choose the right wick for your jar size. As I stated in my video, natural waxes are not going to give you a strong punch. If your using essential oils, the scent is really going to subtle. Don’t change wicks on hot throw alone. The wick needs to be correct for your jar size or it’s not going to burn properly. Yes the right wick is important for hot throw, but in natural waxes, the right wick will do what it needs to do but understand with natural waxes, don’t expect a strong punch.

    • @ctatro518
      @ctatro518 2 года назад

      @@LadyCIMONNECandleCo wasn't using essential oils It was from candle science. And I guess I went off of what you do using the same size jars and wicks in wix as well as FO percentage. Like you said some FO Isn't going to pack that punch. Are people OK with a very light fragrance because they prefer a better Eco friendly wax? I'm just concerned people are gonna think the CT is good but be disappointed with the HT

    • @LadyCIMONNECandleCo
      @LadyCIMONNECandleCo  2 года назад +1

      @@ctatro518 But again with natural waxes, it’s not going to be super strong. Or switch to a paraffin if your not a stickler on eco friendly products. It’s all in your marketing strategy
