I used to work next door to the Atkinson Candy Company that makes the Chick-o-sticks and black cows. They have a wholesale store open to the public on Wednesdays. I never went because I was working when it was open.

Hi Lindey! Love your new business adventure! I used to own an old fashion candy store and soda fountain. It was amazing! I came up with my own taffy recipe and made taffy from scratch. It took me almost a year to perfect the recipe and once I did it was a huge hit in my area. I was the person in the window pulling the taffy! Seeing this video brought me back to those days in my store. I ended up selling the store in 2020 during the pandemic. I wish you luck on your new adventure!

Do a "ONE OF" bag . . with one of each candy you choose, so each bag is the same . . no mystery . . but one of each little candy. You can call it "The One Of" bag!! I used to walk a mile to the little candy store as a child. Good choice of type of business.

May I suggest you make Halloween candy baskets since we are 4-5 months out. Make a few sample spooky baskets on your site and have customers pre-order since there are so many people who don't allow their kids to go out and trick or treat. Should be a great product you can use up left over product and you can print up some spooky stories to add to the baskets.

You said chewy... one of my favorite candies as a young boy was Snirkles it was about 2"x3"x 1/4" and what it was/is is like a slice of a caramel and nougat roll up log... like they'd lay out a 1/4" of caramel, then on top a 1/4" of nougat, roll it up into a log, and slice it into 1/4" slices. I saw that the big candy store in Minnesota has them. I don't know what they charge, but back then they were $0.05.

Hi Lindey, first time here, long time listener, glad I found you as I quit selling quite awhile ago and want to get back in the game...always admired you. Candy ,sold a ton in my days, I know the name is "nutty" however I would consider buying "Hello Kitty" candy, I always had a good luck with that product, however I never sold the candy but my educated guess would be I be it does good

You should create a mixed titkes A Little Bit of Everything. That mix would include a little bit of everything whether it's wrapped or unwrapped tossed into one bag as an amazing sampler. No one else does that.
An addition, make sure you are noting exactly what ingredients are in each of the products that you use in your snack offerings, they're supposed to have nutritional and serving information as well. There have been lawsuits regarding those subjects. That's why most people offer less variety versus more It's easier to manage.
