Well not quite. She’s only 67. But she is just recovering from Covid for the 3rd time! And they do have studies that show the more times you get Covid the more it affects your brain. Blurting out whatever is in her head, but she is probably right. We’ll get an announcement in December that Alyssa is pregnant.

Don’t clutch your pearls, People! The question is always about intent. When the question is asked in that context, it’s a compliment! She was telling Alyssa that she had a beautiful glow about her. It's basically the only time it’s ok to ask. A lot of times, other women are right.

Spoken by a man. It's the intent & context. She said that Alyssa has a new glow about her. Which is saying she looks radiant. It's a compliment and probably the only time that’s ok to ask. A lot of times other women are right.

Women ask this, especially elders... It's not that uncommon and 9/10 they are right! Standby... My mother literally said this to my sister - we had no idea (and it was too early to tell...) but she was right. Whoopi has done this 2 other times and was also correct... I will say, that a private setting would've been better though.

First of all, Alyssa's MIL was in the audience. If Alyssa was pregnant and it had on been a few weeks after finding out and she wanted to keep it a secret just between her and her husband, do you think she would really appreciate being asked that question on TV in front of million of viewers and in front of her MIL ? Whoopie couldn't have asked Alyssa that question in private either before, during a break, or after the live taping ? People that think what Whoopie did was perfectly alright need to take etiquette lessons.
