I know it's not yours or La Mesa RV's fault Barry but why would Winnebago put a water overflow valve right above the 30amp outlet & right next to the potentially hot TRuma exhaust? lol Regardless great rig & great informative presentation!
Wow I'm impressed with what they did with this small camper. Plenty of rom for the two of us and I like the Lay_out a lot. There nothing this Unit doesn't have. I did want to see the Engine under the Hood, but I can find that out with a call. I also wish they could give you a price that's a big deal to any of us watching this, Camper. I like it better than the 2023 Winnebago Navion 24 J
Great job, I love it, hopefully the price comes down...😮 also dont like the magnetics for the cupboard doors, Ive seen people having issues with them coming off after pulling down to close the door...😮
Very nice and detailed review of the Ekko. I have a couple questions: does the generator come with an automatic start, which can be set to come on for various reasons? Does the coach have to be level to use the refrigerator? Could you please explain how to disconnect and connect the propane tanks? What appliances/features can be run off of the inverter? Has Winnebago fixed the design flaw that crushed some of the heating ductwork? Another blogger mentioned they were having problems with their heat and found this issue.
Cathy, Thank you for your feedback 1. The generator does not come with an Auto Gen Start but in most cases that can be added to the unit. 2. The refrigerator does not have to be level to work because it doesn't use propane to keep it cold. Its runs off your house batteries/30 Amp when plugged in. 3. The propane tanks are just portable tanks like one you would have on your BBQ to get re-filled or exchanged. 4. All appliances excluding the A/C can run off of the inverter. But the A/C will run off the Generator when running or your Lithium battery system/Shore power 5. From my understanding Winnebago is working on the issue. @@barrynellums1411 A follow on to the OP's question regarding the AC and battery power Barry. If the generator delete and second battery option is selected can the AC be run off the inverter? If not will a soft start kit allow that? I guess the real question is if the AC is in the inverter circuit at all. Thanks.
I have a long list of things I like about this RV. However, I see a couple of design mistakes. One is the generator exhaust hanging almost to the ground under a 4X4 vehicle. That needs to be reconfigured. Second, the overflow for the water tank is directly above the shore power plug. You may say why should this matter, it gets rained on? However, in some localities potable water is not soft and may conduct.
@Lorrin Barth It's an air vent not an overflow though . Why would you fill a tank until it comes out the air vent . Do you know the purpose of an air vent . ?
I would do an additional Li battery and still retain the generator. Is that possible? Also, there should be an option for a small lift like the 2" Van Compass lift included on the Coachmen Cross Trail Extreme (hint, hint).
Thanks for the awesome video. Two questions: is it possible to make after-market substitutions to put in (1) a convection oven rather than a microwave, and (2) a dry flush toilet (like a Laveo) rather than the cassette toilet? Thanks!
Glad you liked it! As for replacing the microwave for a convection microwave that should be doable as long as the size is the same and whoever installs it can facilitate the venting if necessary. As for the cassette, that too would need some aftermarket construction to facilitate the install of the Laveo and connecting electric. all should be doable, but not from the factory.
Fred, As of right now we are looking at a time table of April-June to get one. But its just an estimate at this point because we have so many orders on the unit. Let me know if I can help further
@@deborahschaub2925 the day shades are made of heavy duty bug screen material. When you open the window and pull the day shade down into place, the opening is then fully sealed by screen.
Your dealer can give you this configuration. My dealer is adding the second battery to my single battery/generator model. You just can't get this config direct from Winnebago.

Just watched your Ekko review. I’ve seen two others but really did like yours the most. I remained concerned about AZ heat not northern cold. Ekko is well heated even in the garage, but what about 120 degree heat? What about being able to leave a pet in it while you adventure? Just wondering. Thanks!!

Yes the A/C can be ran through the inverter off of house battery power.

Do windows have screens or do the day shades act as screens?
Are the day shades actually bug screens ??? If not, why not and can bug screens be installed ?????
