I mean, we should expect a chef that reinvents himself so much in the kitchen to also put in a lot of good work in experimenting and evolving the production quality of his videos right? OMG, you beat me to it. I usually do make a pourable starch and cashew based cheese for my pizzas. But I haven't got around to making my video yet. Still perfecting my recipe. I prefer it to most any other vegan shredded cheese. They don't seem to be as creamy as I want. I think you have nailed it!

Pro tip: we actually set the stretched dough over the peel and dress the pizza on the peel. Then you just slid it off onto the stone. Much much easier then trying to get the peel under the pizza (impressed it didn't rip!!). Just remember to sprinkle cornmeal on the peel before putting the dough on it.

Pineapple on pizza is fantastic! It pairs well with jalapenos very well! My go-to pizza is pineapple, mushroom, and black olive with vegan buffalo sauce! It's a super weird combination, but the wife got me into it and I can't go back! Definitely gonna try to make this liquid cheese!
Nothing wrong with pineapple on a pizza. It especially goes well with salty/smokey meat replacements like vegan pepperoni or vegan bacon. It's also good with fresh or pickled jalepeno slices.
The Miyokos pizza cheese is absolutely phenomenal! I loved it so much after receiving 3 bottles I used I ordered 10 more and now I'm sitting on 5 expiring bottles don't know what I was thinking ... but wow it's amazing ! Next time I'll try the sauce stashe version so I don't have to order online again.

I make cashew-based meltable mozzarella from Miyoko's book Artisan Vegan Cheese. I use rejuvelac instead of water. That gives the cheese a delicious, tangy taste. I just had one last night. Yum!

I've been meaning to give this a try. I'm allergic to nuts, so I can't have the Miyoko product. I think I'll try it with Ripple Pea protein milk. I don't have the lactic acid powder, so I might need to order some. Alternatively, I was thinking I could try blending in some fermented tofu instead. (I usually go through a culturing process when making soy based cheese, but it takes a few days, so i've been thinking about alternatives for adding lactic acid). I'm curious about the agar powder. Normally I use Kappa Carageenan, which firms the cheese only when it cools down. I assumed agar works similarly, and I'm wondering if it has any affect when the cheese is hot/melted. Also I was initially thinking I would need to heat the sauce to cook out the starch before adding it to pizza. But it looks like the short time in the oven might be enough time to get rid of the starchy texture and thicken the sauce.

EXACTLY. I wish there was a plant based cheese that mimics dairy cheese to the T. Stretchy, greasy and tangy like dairy mozzarella and doesn't taste like chemicals. But chewy when it starts to cool down. The person that comes up with that will be a billionaire. My hope is that Stache will see this comment and say "challenge accepted". 😀
you can also crush some chicke peas and mix in some pizza seasonings and oilive oil. spread it on some dough, add sauce, add vegetables ans bake delicious you don’t miss the cheese

Canadian here! Grew up on Hawaiian pizza; I like the pineapple. Not all the time, but there are times I crave things from childhood, Hawaiian pizza, ketchup chips and Orange Crush.

@@ca99nada I know the struggle and pain. It's to the point I turn pizza into sandwiches because the cheese-less part hurts so bad at times. The only cheese I was able to tolerate was some shredded vio-life and I had to damn near burn it too get a decent texture.

Love how you changed the narration! Since I start cooking more vegan and vegetarian, I don't wash my equipment thoroughly during cooking because I used it many times for other foods too. We just lucky we don't have but allergy because this cheese really fool a lot of people and children.
The thing I ask myself everytime when thinking about vegan cheese is why they NEVER add protein. There isn't one vegan cheese which doesn't become gooey when melted. If there was protein in it, it would be firm like real cheese.
I wonder what sort of protein you are imagining..... can't be dairy or meat and be vegan so....... at any rate cashews are considered a high-quality or complete source of protein, although they do not contain quite the quantity of amino acids compared to meat s or dairy products. And doesn't one generally expect gooey, melted cheese on pizza?
@@blenderbenderguy I mean that slimey texture. Vegan cheese is just slime. Real cheese isn't. And there are many examples of vegan protein you could use. From peas for example.
at least you apologized at the end - lol I like pineapple on pizza too! Technically it's a vegetable - any edible part of a plant is a vegetable, but it's also a fruit. Eggplant's a fruit too. I worked a lot on the pineapple pizza debate on kialo where it talks all about that.

I make my tomato sauce from taking a regular tomato and just dicing it with a knife. I do it in a bowl, so all the juices are there with the seeds and skin and everything - most flavorful, cheapest, easiest sauce possible! That's how z-pizza does it.
1. I love Miyokos! Their butter is the best. 2. You got a stand mixer? Throw your seitan in that joker. It is way God intended for us to beat seitan. 3. Pineapple on pizza is perfection. 4. Throw xanthan gum in the blender while it is running. I’ve gotten clumps on occasion.
I’m the sort who would pile an entire brick of shredded mozzarella on my homemade pizza back before I went vegan so I dunno if something that’s basically a liquid to start with would really match my preference.
I love pineapple on my ZZZa!!! 🤣😂 always looking for a quick cheezy recipe for the top of the pizza or taco. mint is usually like a bachemel sauce with almonds.... nuts. water. nooch. mushroom powder... then sky limit on seasonings for your taste. great on lasagna. Ill add some starches and try it. I may even have some 2019 agar agar .. that still usable right🤔

You need to try the Vegan Babybel its perfect, taste and MELTS just like Mozzarella , just slice thin and use in sandwiches or pizza

Burnout is the worst but please know that you’re doing an amazing job and you should be proud of the content you’re putting out! From creator to creator, I have been seeing all the hard work you’ve been putting in to get your content just right for your audience lately. It can be super discouraging to do what you think the audience would love and then that dang algorithm does you dirty and doesn’t show it to anyone 😭 I have really been loving this style of voiceover where you’re more jokey with us! For me making the content that I made for so many years I needed a change and something new that would spark some new creativity and thats where the new style came from. It was a pretty drastic change and I was a little nervous, but im so glad I did.

Since I start cooking more vegan and vegetarian, I don't wash my equipment thoroughly during cooking because I used it many times for other foods too. We just lucky we don't have but allergy because this cheese really fool a lot of people and children.
The thing I ask myself everytime when thinking about vegan cheese is why they NEVER add protein.
There isn't one vegan cheese which doesn't become gooey when melted. If there was protein in it, it would be firm like real cheese.
I wonder what sort of protein you are imagining..... can't be dairy or meat and be vegan so....... at any rate cashews are considered a high-quality or complete source of protein, although they do not contain quite the quantity of amino acids compared to meat s or dairy products. And doesn't one generally expect gooey, melted cheese on pizza?
@@blenderbenderguy I mean that slimey texture. Vegan cheese is just slime. Real cheese isn't. And there are many examples of vegan protein you could use. From peas for example.

at least you apologized at the end - lol I like pineapple on pizza too! Technically it's a vegetable - any edible part of a plant is a vegetable, but it's also a fruit. Eggplant's a fruit too. I worked a lot on the pineapple pizza debate on kialo where it talks all about that.

I make my tomato sauce from taking a regular tomato and just dicing it with a knife. I do it in a bowl, so all the juices are there with the seeds and skin and everything - most flavorful, cheapest, easiest sauce possible! That's how z-pizza does it.
1. I love Miyokos! Their butter is the best.
2. You got a stand mixer? Throw your seitan in that joker. It is way God intended for us to beat seitan.
3. Pineapple on pizza is perfection.
4. Throw xanthan gum in the blender while it is running. I’ve gotten clumps on occasion.

I’m the sort who would pile an entire brick of shredded mozzarella on my homemade pizza back before I went vegan so I dunno if something that’s basically a liquid to start with would really match my preference.
Well, the agar agar and starches causes the liquid to firm up a little, you could always add some of your favorite cheese substitute in addition!

I love pineapple on my ZZZa!!! 🤣😂 always looking for a quick cheezy recipe for the top of the pizza or taco. mint is usually like a bachemel sauce with almonds.... nuts. water. nooch. mushroom powder... then sky limit on seasonings for your taste. great on lasagna. Ill add some starches and try it. I may even have some 2019 agar agar .. that still usable right🤔
I love pineapple on pizza😋 I would think that usually things taste better freshly made if you know what you're doing, and you obviously do. so I'm not surprised to hear yours may be better. I haven't tried miyokos yet, but I may make my own too after watching this.

The kitchen magician is at it again! I would have to use a different lecithin, but I really want to try making that cheez. I like the frozen vegan pizza we buy, but it is pricey! @@cylon5741 I can completely relate. Not being able to have soy is the pits! I am planning on trying this recipe with sunflower lecithin if I can find it. The frozen pizza I buy is by Daiya. It is soy free, gluten free and vegan.
