      Lulu Centeno real talk. You saw how they did Bobby Shmurda.. That shit was sad Fam. That's why I'm glad a lot of these people going independent route. A lot of folks took what DameDash and SugeKnight and them did back in the 80s and 90s to heart with ownership. I just realized FettyWap sold 1.3 Million but he's all Independent... So you know all that money he's seeing... Folks stay independent they don't gotta buck dance or sellout for corporate america. If anything do partnership deals just to make more on a higher level.

      MrDBcooper77 you thought wrong little boy, the only clown here is you. I've done forget about you over months ago, moved on, bank statements done increased, traveled on the other side of the states, seen shit you never seen and you still on here trying to make yourself feel better for being the pathetic loser you are on the internet.
      I'm sorry you can't relate to anything Real Hustlers talking about. Stick to comments and catching *L's* on the internet because you'll never get anywhere in life dude doing this foolishness. You been lost this convo, time to log off and reflect on your reality.

      That's awesome to hear my brother. Keep pushing no matter what anybody says. The harder you push the more you will weed out those who are negative and meet those who are on the same path as you.
      See college as an investment in yourself period point blank (meaning YOU need to create YOUR return on YOUR investment into it). The investment = YOUR TIME and YOUR MONEY. Make the investment worth your time and money..don't just go to college like most people do. Understand the material and save your books from the courses you feel you are weak in so you can always go back for reference as you move on in your career. The substance never changes.
      Forget those who will tell you it's a waste of money..etc. Create your business plan and keep making amendments to it as you see fit. Take your time and learn YOUR business model and don't rush into anything.
      Seek Wisdom always. Wisdom comes from knowledge which comes from experience which comes from learning which comes from an ACTION of some sort. Listening to gossip, talking about other men, drama...none of those things bring wisdom and that's why damon was so heated. He learned to focus on chasing wisdom instead of nonsense like most of our people.
      Goodluck...Make it happen!

    • @ewickifyewic6979
      @ewickifyewic6979 9 лет назад +5

      Boxjuice
      Hell no that's not human nature. It's almost entirely to blame on the wave of "political correctness" that took a hold on western culture.
      You being offended implies nothing, other than that you're a fairly emotional person. If you're obese and the next man tells you to think about losing weight, emotionally you might be offended, but critical thinking skills should tell you that being obese leads to extensive health problems. In which case the person who's willing to offend you for the sake of your LIFE cares way more about your best interest than the person who can't be arsed to deal with your emotions for the sake of your health.
      Which is why this line of PC, emotional thinking, sucks. More often than not it ends with someone bracketing all rational thought, logic, and in this case, pragmatic benefit, because they're "offended."
      And I'm not trying to be around people who care about emotions more than the truth.

    • @0Lu.Lu0
      @0Lu.Lu0 9 лет назад +1

      See. Wrong focus and fucked up hearing (tapes and shit) most people. There's a word that is most responsible for that phenomenon in this situation though: conditioning.

    • @MrGrownman455
      @MrGrownman455 9 лет назад +2

      It's called mental conditioning ... Some human beings have been dumb down to the point where information has to be given to them in a pretty package, it's almost like watching adults with children's emotions. . It hasn't always been that way, it was a time where people could accept information even if it was done in a harsh way. Today's society rather hear a cute lie rather than a harsh truth. Like I was always told "There is a reason why the devil comes in a form of a beautiful woman and God sends tornadoes and Hurricanes." The truth is not there to make you feel good it's there because its the truth.

    Why can't blacks be confident in america? As soon as someone shows the slightest bit of self worth they are blacklisted. People also don't know the difference in saving money and having equity. It sounds good to say you saved 10 mil during your lifetime. To me its better to say I have businesses that make me that. I think his message got to the people he wanted it to. Most of the people commenting don't know him personally. They are going off of what they hear the radio say. I never met the man in my life. Therefore I can only listen to the message. People should try that. Let Oprah say what he said word for word. She'll be seen as a visionary. Drop that slave ass mentality for the sake of your family.

So even if he doesn't want to work a job; why are these grown a** people letting a man they will never meet make them feel insecure? If you cool with your job, boss, and level of comfort; then chill! But its alotta of people who want to work for themselves, but its scary to take the first step and Dame is speaking to those people.

    One of dame's guy's (forgot his name sorry) had the best point on the breakfast club interview, he said something along the lines of "if you guys all left (envy, charlagmage, angela yee) do you really not think people would follow ya'll"? He was spot on there. The radio station put them on, but if they were to leave and create their own station, they would be successful for sure and would be making a lot more then they currently are. They have put a mark on the current music industry, nothing is more important interview then a breakfast club interview (interview wise) . Then at the end of the day, after all their hard work, they get the lions share of the profit, and they have something to pass down to their children someday. That's really the main point. Why should dj envy's boss make all the money, when people are coming to the station for envy, charlamagne, and angela yee? They're making they're boss rich! And they're happy about it! Now I got to rambling but you get my point. He's trying to say you can have your own also. Especially when the majority of the success and the profit comes from you (the worker) .

You're less than everyone being pushed to black women, but mad cause a brotha says don't make having a job your end game??? Mad cause he didn't spoon feed it to you? Just call it tough love from Dame then. If he sparked you to even think about your job, then say "thank you. "
    Also, the reaction to Dame's comments points out that some people are better off being worker bees. Not everyone is cut out mentally to be a boss. Let them work. For all the naysayers about Dame, don't knock what you don't understand. Try watching someone like Dick Gregory, tell you. Dame is showing you the blueprint to never breaking your back putting millions in others dreams aka a job. A vulture is someone who capatalizes off of a talent for none other than to profit from it, regardless if it is good or bad for the consumer. For instance Donald Sterling bought the clippers for next to nothing, gets caught being racist and gets 2billion, you think he gives a shit about Chris Pauls well being? Or basketball?

    Dame seems salty because many of his business ventures after the breakup of Rocafella, the sale of Rocawear, etc didn't work out how he planned. I love what he stands for but calling people that have regular jobs without dignity is just stupid. I run my own business that my dad handed down to me and his attitude always was, your client's are your bosses. Charlemagne is right, you can't sell product to people you insult.

      ***** Which is why you took the time to share it in the first place eh? You, like so many, do not know whereof you speak about Damon's business. What is salty is speculating about something so personal. He's always looked chill to me over the last several years, particularly through this reporting medium, Hip Hop Motivation. People who heard correctly know that he was not insulting the common people who have regular jobs. If you think carefully he was actually illustrating with his behavior how when you are independent i.e. a Boss, there are certain people you can afford to risk offending or straight up offend. Damon is way past his dynasty being significantly dependent upon negroes who cannot hear him correctly, do not think critically, are reactive, and have been conditioned by the same structure that helped and his helping to destroy what Black men created to believe he is "broke".

    THE INTERVIEW: In his Breakfast Club interview he suggested people in general should want to be their own boss and not work for anyone else. He then said working hard most of your career for someone else regardless of how much you make and how happy you are is unacceptable. He then said if don't want to be your own boss and ultimately leave a legacy behind by doing so, then you're selfish for thinking about your kids. He then went on to mention the word KIDS every other sentence throughout the interview. Everyone doesn't have kids Mr. Dash, so is this still implicable to them as well? :-/
    MISPERCEPTIONS: First off, EVERYONE CAN'T be the BOSS. Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians is a true statement. There would be nothing to be the boss of if there were no people to work for you, unless for example you run a landscaping company with one lawnmower and you're the only one who cuts grass. However, while possible, that contradicts ambitions to grow an empire and leave behind a legacy. You can't grow a company with one BOSS and no employees and trust me, the only thing legacy about leaving your kid one lawnmower behind when you die, is how old that shit is.
    Secondly, not everyone wants to run a company and be the boss and in my opinion not only is that perfectly fine, it's necessary for a workplace and economy to exist and flourish.
    Finally, he defended his past as NOT BEING THE BOSS by mentioning partnerships. While that works, it's depends on circumstances. Lets all try telling our bosses at work that we prefer to be 50/50 partners instead of employees and see how well that goes. Exactly, wouldn't happen!
    CONCLUSION: He's an ambitious hustler with a desire to re-build a family empire like he once did with Rockafella. However, the same ego centric mentality and unwillingness to compromise his thinking that helped him build Rockafella will also be the demise of his business ventures in today's world.
    Things are different now, B Corporations exist, a thing called Social Media influences billion dollar companies' decisions, Strategic Partnerships are inevitable, and EVERYONE NEEDS HARD WORKING EMPLOYEES, naturally happy with what they do for a living, who bring value to the table with no desire to some day overthrow their own Boss!
    BY THE WAY: I'm a successful, full-time entrepreneur, married, with Kids. While I don't make millions as of yet, I'm hauling ass to someday graduate from six figure revenues. Every year I progress and it's with the help of EMPLOYEES who dedicate themselves and enjoy what they do. Some may go on someday to be the Boss of their own and some will get promoted with me, others will remain where they are or simply leave. Either way, for the time being, we all know, no one wins a game with all point guards. The same way the world couldn't operate with companies comprised of all bosses and partners.
    On the flip side, if his message would have been, thinking big without limitation, resilience, and persistence are essential elements to being your own boss someday IF SO DESIRED, I would have agreed. But since it wasn't communicated that way, I default to the above.

    I'mma just say this about the "Breakfast Club Interview" and I'm gonna keep it 100. I am not intimidated by celebs, rich people, etc, because they are people. They shit like everybody else and Im more talented and intelligent than most of them, but I digress. Now, I understood COMPLETELY what you were saying in the interview. I did and I agree.. But Im not going to jump on the bandwagon, " nobody listens to Dame", "He's speaking that knowledge and people too scared", etc.
    DAME DASH (for you specifically), the reason that people were not receptive to your truth, because it indeed was, was your delivery. You have to understand, that when you are explaining things beyond societal (and otherwise) programming/ norms (we all receive from birth in this country), its going to go over people's heads, because quite honestly they aren't very bright to begin with. So, that is EVEN MORE a reason why you have to be patient with people. You can't just spew everything out in an emotional tirade and expect for people to actually LISTEN to what you have to say. You also sounded very misogynistic which turned many women off immediately. And quite frankly I think you have a VERY LIMITED view on what is to be a MAN. As I stated in another video, when one is trying to prove he's Alpha, he really isn't. An Alpha proves nothing, he/she just is, and people respond. So in essence, if you wish to impart your wisdom on "the people", you need to be less abrasive because nobody is going to care what you have to say otherwise. Plus there is a perception that you're BROKE, so people really don't want to listen to you. DAME cut it down a couple notches. Smoke a blunt before you do interviews, so that you aren't so AMPED UP that you put people off. Now, if you don't care about what people think of what you said, then you shouldn't care enough to respond.

    I criticized Dame Dash on his Breakfast Club interview but I do agree with him on a lot of things. I agree with him on working hard for your own business, its just not everyone is going to have that luxury. What I really respect Dame for is when he says what he does for his kids. Setting up a foundation for your children, now THAT he absolutely nailed on the head. When he said he was going to buy his son a house so he doesnt have to worry about that, all he would have to worry about is doing the same for his children, that I respect so much. Big ups to you Dame! I don't agree with you on some things but overall you are a good man.

    It needed to be said, but Dash needs to polish his delivery of knowledge he kicks to the people. One thing we should never do in our enthusiasm of imparting wisdom and knowledge (and Dash DOES have invaluable knowledge to share) is inadvertently turn people off. Remember Mr. Dash, you think on a much higher level of consciousness than most people, so try to break it down to a level they can understand. But I personally agree with everything you said in that breakfast club interview.
