    Thanks guys for watching! I actually wanted the wood stain to be lighter but it didn't turn out that way. It's easier to see what I could have changed now that it's finished. Overall I like the uniqueness of the piece.
    I love to do things different and not mimic how someone else has it. That's just who I am. I encourage you to be creative when trying projects. Many times they don't turn out the way you envisioned but that's the beauty of it. It may turn out better than you thought. My hopes are that you can take my idea and make it your own. Customize it to how you like it and step outside your comfort zone.

      treshaja that is so true. Often things don't turn out how I pictured, but I will learn a lot for the next time. This project could be used as a headboard, room divider or even a privacy screen type thing on a patio

    I would've spray painted the panels a metallic copper color and then i would have outlined on the top in a teal paint to make the 3-d effect pop out more and give a compatible contrast with the teal and the copper.

    • @DWBJosh
      @DWBJosh 6 лет назад +1

      ILARY NICOLAS not sure about the teal lol but the Copper color would look amazing!! I have been doing like every thing I can think of in copper lol. I went as far as just shipping the rims off my show car to a guy in California and having them dipped in copper! lol.. I can't wait to see them but anyways yes I agree copper would have been wonderful!

    Treshaja, that turned out pretty cool...ideas that come to mind...1. If you ever want to change the black on top, a firm roller brush would make the painting go faster and more uniform. 2. I could even see someone building a wooden frame around one of the panels, attaching feet to the base and putting a piece of glass on top to tie in with wall art. I've never seen 3-D wall art. Nice work!

    • @treshaja
      @treshaja  7 лет назад +2

      Thank you, Kathya!! These are great ideas. I'm going to try the firm roller to see if it will make my life easier. 😊

    The panels look great on your wall. I noticed the panels have a different visual effect, depending on the angle, because of the way you painted them. I really want to try this on a small alcove in my bathroom. Also I just checked their website and they will send out samples, in case anyone else is interested in trying them out.

    • @treshaja

    This is very innovative. However, my husband suggested using a roller instead of the sponge brush. Just be sure that you don't over saturate the roller with too much paint.

      The true beauty of this project -- using one idea for application, you can customize it to suit your color/texture scheme so many ways. My idea of a truly customizable decorative feature. Plus, if you have children or pets (as I do!) it is finished relatively quickly, they have less chance of doing the project (or themselves) messy harm. Perfect, and elegantly customizable project I can't wait to start!
