SWAT units are good for the case where a guy barricades himself inside of a house pissed off and raging after the wife burned his supper before the play off game. Other than that, most incidents are over and done within minutes. It literally takes the SWAT unit a half hour to arrive, get dressed up, do their hut-hut meeting and deploy. It’s over by the time they arrive 99% of the time. Look at the recent failures in the Texas school incident. The Tactical Pause which is used by law enforcement is a complete failure and only allows for the victims to be bled white. The agency where I live doesn’t even do knock down door warrants, they park an armored vehicle with the lights and sirens blazing, basically a traffic stop on the house and give commands on the PA and they do the tactical pause thing continuously. I’ve heard dispatch tapes where people are bleeding out with kids screaming and asking for help while the tactical pause meeting is taking place. Too many people just want to hold the door open for the other guy to go in these days but they definitely walke around with the t-shirt to show off.
Lining up in a straight line in front of the door, sweeping each other nonstop, not checking behind doors. I am surprised any of the characters are alive at all.
Soo..... she basically got shot in the heart, carrying an injured teamate, managed to rendezvous point, stand up straight for a few seconds before realizing she actually got a fatal shot that should've drop her immediately?
She was introduced in either season 1 or 2 and disappeared after she was assigned to her team. She reappeared this season for her to die less than 10 episodes in kinda annoys me since none of the main team has died so they kill off a main/side character depending on the episode.
Never perform cpr on someone with a bullet hole in their chest, you'll just pump all of their blood out of them. Do your best to staunch the wound, fill it to the best of your ability, then proceed with cpr. If you successfully stopped the bleed, CPR might buy them time to get proper medical treatment.
WTF, didn't expect that especially I actually like Erika. Damn, now I get when they say Chris is going to have a emotional arc, she is going to be all over the place, can see her spiraling out of her control.

Paramedic arrives on scene, administers no treatment whatsoever, does 12 seconds of CPR
We did everything we could
Jesus, it's like they weren't even trying to save her, but kill her more...
Yeah.
The amount of flagging that is happening in this scene is absolutely laughable
I like how they go in the house guns blazing, ignoring the fact that you should never point your firearm at what you don't want to shoot
Lmaoo they knocked down the door and go in not even covering each other literally one guy would have taken that whole team out 😹😹
Lining up in a straight line in front of the door, sweeping each other nonstop, not checking behind doors. I am surprised any of the characters are alive at all.
They must've recovered some old anti semitic tweets of hers to kill her off that quickly lol
lol
Soo..... she basically got shot in the heart, carrying an injured teamate, managed to rendezvous point, stand up straight for a few seconds before realizing she actually got a fatal shot that should've drop her immediately?
awesome vids man love the content
That’s sad when erika dies and Chris is with tears
I cried. Truly sad scene
I don't like when Chris crying 😢 😕
Wtf? She just got here.... Stupid writers
She was introduced in either season 1 or 2 and disappeared after she was assigned to her team. She reappeared this season for her to die less than 10 episodes in kinda annoys me since none of the main team has died so they kill off a main/side character depending on the episode.
It's easier on the audience to kill off a character That doesn't have much screen time
@@andrewmartin4387 it's also easier for the writers as they don't need to rebalance the main casts dynamics in the long term.
The fact they ran past a dog house and didn't go out of their way to hunt the dog down makes this absolutely unrealistic.
Imagine being so full of hate you project it onto others.
@@ephemispriest8069 I don't even know how this applies to what I said at all lol
Bro I was expecting something like this to happen but I honestly didn’t know that it was going to happen to Erika
Bro ikr, it was so unexpected i litteraly couldnt believe it
They did this because she probably was gonna move on to other shows so they made a way to take her out
@@Davvvidd I didn't see her fit. She was kinda odd..with the team. Do you guys think she was a good fit?

This episode is still making me sad till now. She was supposed to go out on a date with her hot Michael J 😭😭
Congrats on 10k chris j :D
The generic racist hollywood bad-guy takes two cops with him. That's a win in my book.
The amount of times they flagged each other during room clearing lmaoooo
medical inaccuracies: (feel free to add any more down below)
- One EMT in an ambulance
- CPR for less than a minute
- Taking off helmet to check for a pulse
- Checking for a pulse before a full cycle of CPR
- no ACLS performed
- singular EMT-B working a traumatic cardiac arrest
- no IV administered
- no wound treatments administered
- no AED on patient
- no cardiac monitor rhythm read
- EMT pronounced a patient dead
- EMT pronounced a patient dead after 15 seconds of bogo CPR
whoever wrote and verified this scene with EMS, shame on you :/
They would NEVER stop compressions all the way to the ER, especially for a cop, only the ER Doc would call it.
My mans is using a RCO for CQB 🤦🏾♂️

Big oooof this show with many incorrect information.
It's only a show. The writer are making a point.

I knew there was something going on in Street’s head when he looked at Chris. Hope Chris finally admit her feelings for Jim.
The most unbelievable part of this is that the officers actually pushed up and engaged the threat quickly and didn’t immediately run away every man for himself the moment they took return fire
To be fair they wouldn't run away like that, but they WOULD fall back.
Without a hostage what damn reason do they have to keep staying in there fighting? Just pull back and wait 'em out.

The Sicario music when the first entered was a nice touch.

Street Honda and Deacon are probably the strongest members of the squad
When that music hits at 2:38, you know it’s going to end badly.

Her adrenaline was pumping so hard that she never felt herself getting hit until it was too late! I liked Erika! Such a shame!!
A good way to say, "You're fired" hehe.

Yeah same
2:52 Ah yes, classic GTA medic.
Lol under rated comment
What a shame. I'd have loved to see more of her in the show. Maybe she had other commitments.
CPR is literally meant to get the pulse back and start the heart back up
The word racist is thrown around way too much.
To be honest its dam sad but it would have be a better story line if the paramedics actually did what they would do in rl an intubate her an stuff an end it of in an ambulance with her dieing you know but it i what it is.
Possibly not. Significant trauma to the chest area resulting in acute cardiac arrest generally is a contraindication to continue resuscitation efforts, because in all likelihood, there is massive damage to the circulatory system that only a surgeon can fix, and the pt would have to literally be on the operating table being operated on when that happened for there to be a chance of survival. Basically, she's bleeding out from her heart and main arteries, basically nothing you can do in the field to stop that.
Yeah like 30 seconds of Chest compressions. That was dumb. If it's a gunshot wound to the chest . You get them in the back of an ambulance and f****** haul ass
Also one emt... No paramedics just one emt
@@evensickle1083 also being a cop you would do everything... The first thing my mom said (I watch with her) you don't stop until their at the hospital and can be pronounced dead.
@@ntlhui so you're saying she got shot in the chest with a vest on
Either that is the single most ineffective bulletproof vest in entertainment history, or that guy had Hawkeye/Legolas level aim to be able to find that sweet spot THROUGH the ceiling to be able to hit her with a lethal shot.

I like how she helped lift and move a fully grown man in full tac gear including plate carrier and rifle and THEN feels pain. I get it's a show but like really?
The delayed reaction time was because of the adrenaline
I like how to paramedic does CPR for 20 secs and gives up

I totally get why they needed to speed up this scene but a paramedic wouldn't give up that quickly. If they had Erika bleeding out her nose and ears then that's a fair assessment to stop. It was just too rapid!! But I did love this twist

I can't take a show called "SWAT" seriously when they can't even get gritty details of what it takes to be a tactical operator or their equipment down right.
I got outstandingly mad about this bcs she just started and she gon get kicked like that
I thought she would be a part of Chris' story a bit longer
As someone who has never heard of this show before. This is one hell of a title to just be introduced to
Racist: 1, Erika: 0
Since the first episode. , when the criminals had rocket launchers i Literally refused to keep watching this over the top dramatic bullshit show. Derek Morgan should of stayed with criminal minds
Holy shit chest compressions without sealing the bleading spot, freaking masters haha
Should have gone all in on the comedy and had copious ketchup spurt out onto the cast's burgers while they stood around watching
@@GodActio oh.... a genius..
Yeah. A master of comedy, what a brilliant idea dude haha, now I want a gag from something like smosh hahaha
the fact that they didn't do breaths before the cpr hurts me
2:50, I'm no EMT/Medical professional, but I can't imagine that chest compression that compress mid-air are very effective.
Not to mention she has a plate carrier on
You know, medics are not the people authorized to pronounce time of death. It's their job to work on the patients, dead or alive until they get them to the hospital. They did hook her up to a monitor, they didn't shock, they didn't do anything. CPR alone will NOT save someone's life! They COULD have saved her!
Sometimes they call for a time of death and explain the state of the body
Yes they can! EMT and above can call TOD. But yeah the rest of it I agree, this was so bad medical wise. 1 EMT, no pads, no cat haem control, didn’t even do one cycle of compressions
That's definitely not true paramedics have the legal right to declare a death
Hope you all realize they can’t do full compressions on the show.
Hope you realize they can make it look closer than just moving her around
I’m confused. I watched the clip 5x and not once did I see her get hit
Same.
Ffs now they are going to have to do another story arc about getting another woman into swat, don't get me wrong I dont really care who's in swat but I just dont want to see another 4 episodes of same stuff as season 2
True
Here too Liam
If you’re going to do something like that at least wait a little
Maybe Chris is sad because she's the only girl in the squad now xD
"I'm really sorry" said no EMT ever
Medic was like she's dead time to go home
I love how she didn't even look at the GUNSHOT WOUND before starting compressions (pretty sure she was still talking before she started them too). Are you trying to pump all the blood out?
someone said it lmao, I'm an Army medic and we're taught to never do CPR in a tactical situation, this whole scene made me cringe. no EMT/medic/police officer would spend 30 seconds working to save a friend who was just shot then just throw up their hands and say "welp we tried sorry they're dead"
