About S.W.A.T.: Inspired by the television series and the feature film, S.W.A.T. stars Shemar Moore as a locally born and raised S.W.A.T. sergeant newly tasked to run a specialized tactical unit that is the last stop in law enforcement in Los Angeles. Torn between loyalty to where he was raised and allegiance to his brothers in blue, former Marine Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson has everything it takes to be an excellent leader and to bridge the divide between his two worlds. Hondo’s elite unit includes David “Deacon” Kay, an experienced S.W.A.T. officer who always puts the team first, despite feeling overlooked for the lead job; Christina “Chris” Alonso, a skilled officer and the team’s canine trainer; Dominique Luca, an expert driver who gets them in and out of high-risk situations; Victor Tan, who started in the LAPD Hollywood Division and uses his confidential informants in the community to help the team; and Jim Street, a cocky and promising new team member who is fired when his troubled family life leads him to compromise his role within the unit. Responsible for the management of all Metro Division S.W.A.T. units is Commander Robert Hicks, a senior LAPD official with the Special Operations Bureau. Overseeing Hondo’s team is Hicks’ direct report, Jessica Cortez, the ambitious captain of L.A. Metro whose professional aspirations force her to end an off-the-books relationship with Hondo. Hondo’s team enjoys an intense rivalry with another L.A.-based unit led by Jeff Mumford, an aggressive leader who likes to do things his way. With Hondo leading the charge, these dedicated men and women bravely put themselves at risk to protect their community and save lives. Swat teams dont have backup. Its a part of the law. One swat team cant be with another unless its a large investigation and many armed criminals are present. If its just a quick call in then only one team is allowed to move out.

Nothing ever happens to Hondo .He was closes to a car explosion ,a piese of metal get through his lower back they took him unconscious to the hospital and when the team arrives, he was walking and talking to the doctor.

You do realize the US military cannot officially operate on US soil. As far as an FBI SWAT Team goes, there’s a lot more that goes into just calling one in. Not even talking about the show, LAPD SWAT is more than capable of actually handling something like this.

"I will support and defend the constitution of the United States from all enemies, foreign *and domestic*." If there's a mass casualty threat from a terrorist group, yeah, that falls well within the military's ability to prosecute the offenders in a very immediate and abrupt fashion.
@@rcslyman8929 my brother in Christ, that becomes the National Guard’s charter, even then, they have to be called in by the governor of said state. In order to allow the military to operate domestically, Congress has to enact the Insurrection Act. The Posse Comitatus Act bars the military from enforcing laws unless explicitly stated by Congress. I suggest you read up on your law knowledge before coming in here like that bc I swore that same oath, it doesn’t me the power to start engaging domestic terrorists as a Marine.

If he died in the new episode in season 7 (which he didn't.) His would've made way more sense to kill off his character. Season 6 was part time and season 7 has been terrible anyways. But at least he got to retire to end his career
