Skylar definitely played his role the best of anyone in the show (with the exception of Tracie of course). Besides that, though, this choreo is too precious. Also can we just take a second to appreciate Aaron during the second verse? He's just looking up like "yes, dance, my bitches" (2:50-3:05)
i just LOVE how much fun they have with each other. i love how close friends they are that they can do stuff like that (the funny moments with mimi/mark and maureen/roger) and it doesnt affect anything!!! so cool.
Emily Sith personally I think she had some high points in her performance (like the finale) but light my candle I thought was awful. but this was one of her first stage acting things so she's gotten so so much better
I saw this at the Hollywood Bowl. I wish I would have thought to record it. You did a great job, but it would have been nice to see everybody or focus on the people that are singing at the time
Poor Daphne seems to be forgotten when people talk about the role of Mimi, she was the original not Rosario Dawson. While Aaron lacks a lot of qualities usually involved in playing Roger, I have to say that I really enjoy that his Roger actually moves to beat of the music. I love Adam but it always made me giggle that he was so far off beat. Wish we could have seen more of his dance with Nicole, it looked hilarious. Silly person in front of you whose head was in the way
I think it's the same reason Maureen is all over Rodger. By having dance partners outside of the character couples it makes the song more about the group and less about the couples. But Vanessa Hudgins is unforgivable.
Vanessa is my role model and i think she did perfect in all songs through the whole rent from the videos i have seen especially this one perfect quality but it is perfect i think Vanessa was a oerfect Mimi

hmm, so the film omits that line about Benny and Mimi's relationship. I wish they didn't. It gives more context. If Mimi and Benny used to go out, why didn't Roger know since he was Benny's roommate? Also, Maureen and Joanne come off as less obnoxious in the play version since they're not just making out in front of the suits just to flaunt their relationship, it seems
Okay, people yes we all know that some people might think that Vanesa didin't play Mimi well, but come on people she auditioned and she got the part! It's not fair on her at all if you say you hate her! Honestly people, she did a pretty dang amazing job as Mimi! She's trying to show people that Gabriella Montez is a character she played hense character. Yes, it is okay for everyone to have a different opinion but seriously can you stop with the hate? Vanessa got that part! She played Mimi in Rent because the Director thought she would do an amazing job! So people deal with it! She doing her very best doing what she loves :) You can't blame her for that :) :D

did you notice Vanessa's chair had major technical issues starting at 2:09? the chair fell and then later at 2:20 it's like Aaron is helping her fix it.
@Firstbadhabit Many of the Actors in the film version, were a part of the original broadway cast i.e. Idina and Rosario..So to be honest that really doesn't make much a difference for them. It wouldn't even be right to have even the slightest of implications that the film is what made them better. they were better because they were the best. Simple as that.
