Chinchilla is an independent artist, she went on the Voice last year and since she has being doing it all on her own, she got noticed more by her songs with Ren, both independent artist that are off the charts AMAZING!!!
She was signed just before this, but apparently retained a lot of independence. Chinchilla and Ren are just working on a new collaboration!
Chinchilla is signed with Island Records, they are owned by Universal Music Group, so Island Records looks like a subsidiary of UMG. They have an Island UK branch. She is releasing music under her imprint CHINCHILLA Ltd. I'm not sure of the details but this is an Independent approach. She keeps everything she has built up, her style, approach and sound. Sounds like a smart move, looks like she gets more exposure through them as well. My earlier comment had the wrong record label, thank you Ella for correcting me. Looks like she will have the freedom under her LTD brand to collab with anyone she wants. I'm speculating, so maybe Ren collabs are still in the future.
I love her voice and have listened to All her old stuff to death, she is special, has charisma and has that "it" factor. Ren spent close to $50,000 out of pocket on MG3, but Chinchillas video passed that price tag by miles. Ren always finds and collabs with great talent. It is like attracted to him....Sam and his bandmates are another example.
A shame she isn't independent anymore. She might not be able to promote her older stuff anymore. Not sure about that though. I like to always listen and watch the lyric videos first before her other versions. Helps to understand what she is saying if hard because of accent and the music or beat that might over power her voice. I like her "Fabulous" music video, might be found in her "topic" or the CHINCHILLA - 'Awakening' (EP) Also a fun one is "Lockdown Getdown"
I suggest you listen at Little girl gone. First the official music video, and then the live version. Powerful 🎉
I also like the lyric video first then follow with the other versions. The lyric videos really help to hear and understand what she is singing.
she's on the voice uk right now, i think that means she dosnt have a label but im not sure if that means she will if she wins...
Yeah, with her voice she could sing any style of music, but her initial contract with a recording label didn't work out. My guess is, if she would have stayed with that label, and her former management, we wouldn't be getting the music that she's putting out now. She deserves every success and I'm looking forward to see what she produces in the future. Thanks for this reaction.
I really don’t understand why she didn’t pick will.I.am as her coach on The Voice. He is soooo up her alley. She said in her bio her big influence was Beyoncé.

Great reaction! Chinchilla is mesmerising and I'm kinda enchanted by her, it looks like she's got you feeling the same way. The official videos for Little Girl Gone and Fingers are awesome because she really expresses her visual side. Older stuff like Elements is absolute fire too.

The anthemic easily-singalong-able monster chorus is Gaga-esque for sure. Definitely put together dripping with her own brand of attitude tho. 💅
