Yes this is a VERY useful tool! It’s like once you use it, you will wonder why you didn’t use one before! Thanks for watching and thanks for leaving feedback!👍🏾
The algorithm sent me here and it did right. I enjoyed the video and was surprised by the price of this thing. It would actually be very useful for me because right now, I am using a fairly long hdmi cable to connect my monitor to my camera for talking head videos and I then mount the monitor to my light stand. This would make monitor placement much more flexible.
Oh yeah.. this would definitely be something you will want to look into then! This is exactly how I will be using this as well! Thanks for the feedback and thanks for taking the time to watch and support the channel!👍🏾
@@PurposedLensPhotoMedia you're welcome. In the meantime, my TP Mini has arrived and it's perfect for me. Transfers through 2-3 walls without problems which is actually more than I need from it. Haven't tested it outdoors yet, but I think it'll suffice for what I need it. I am very happy with it.
This is one of the reasons that the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is so versatile. You can use your cell as the monitor, control the camera and gimbal, settings, monitor zebras and histograms, etc. The only thing it can't do that I've seen that seems valuable is false color.
I agree with you! I am hearing very great things about the Osmo P3! I do think it truly does represent the "future" of things! Thanks for watching and thanks for leaving feedback!👍🏾
@@PurposedLensPhotoMedia Hey, thanks for always bringing the authentic content! TBH, they aren't being completely truthful about the Pocket 3. It has some major issues with video quality. You'll see it on my cruise video. Flickering, dynamic range, white balance, etc. Sure, I could have set some things manually but that's not what this cam is supposed to be for. Cell still wins for ease of use and non-disruption to the moment.
Great! You reminded me I need something like this. I recently got an iPad Pro m4 and that screen is going to be great for this thing. This way I can focus on setting up lights and taking a shot of myself as practice without going to the camera all the time to check for the result.
The large iPad screen will be a GREAT monitor! Getting up and going to the camera can get tiring FAST! Keep in mind that many camera have apps that allow you to control the camera with your phone. This way you can monitor AND control you camera at the same time! I hope this helps! Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback and thanks for watching!👍🏾
I was just playing with some automatic focus pulling on my ZV E10 using the IEM app and Max the dog was on the sofa giving me the look. He's a mini schnauzer so you can imagine the look.
LoL! I'm sure pets think we are crazy most of the time! Talking to ourselves looking into these boxes!😆 I use the app from time to time because it does give me controls to actually change settings on the camera! Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching! 👍🏾
Ooooo, that thing looks sweet! Right now I'm using a mirror on a stick behind my phone to see what I'm doing in front of the phone, so *anything* would be an upgrade ;) Gonna have to put it on my *want* list though, no more purchases until I'm monetized, 1/3 of the way there now :)
Yeah it's a cool device to be honest! I didn't think it would be any good at first but as I tested it, I was proved wrong! I wish you the best in getting monetized! Keep up the great work! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!👍🏾
I agree! Especially for the price. It's really probably something MOST people who shoot video of themselves should have. Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback and thanks for supporting the channel!👍🏾
@@PurposedLensPhotoMedia Always Man, thanks for taking the time to speak with me at Vidcon, means a lot when a content creator with a large base is able to chat and even more when they know whom you are. That's the type of creators I like.
I love your content, and I have a question. If I have two Shimbol systems, do you think I will have any issues getting them to "sync" with both cameras? Also, how far apart do you think the transmitters should be from each other to avoid signal interference?
Honestly, I can't speak to this. I am not sure how the Shimbol handles multiple transmitters on the same frequency. There may be some type of switching that goes on or some other way of identifying and separating the signals from each other. You may try reaching out to Shimbol to see if they can shed some light on this topic. I hope this helps! Thanks for taking the time to watch and support the channel! 👍🏾
I would buy this, even with a camera flip screen it's hard for me to see it from like 6 feet away, so this would obviously help. Though the Sony app does the job too, at least for lining up the shot. Good video man, got that nice mix of funny, creative and useful. You know what I would subscribe to from you - just a straight up creative channel where you do 1 man short stories. Like I'm talking fiction type stories, just act something out in your style. Could be parables with a bit of wisdom, your versions of popular stories or films in short form, or original stuff you write. I think you could do well as a storyteller, outside of the realm of gear and film techniques. Actually, that's a good idea for me too lol, I should do that! Thanks for the video.
I agree with you! The Sony app is good however, this does offer some additional features like waveform, RGB parade, false color, wireless audio monitoring via HDMI and an increase in distance. Some people may not need all that however, it's nice to have if you do need it. I like using them together to be honest! Thanks for the encouraging words. I have often thought about starting another channel where I can be "released" from a specific Niche and be able to explore other things. Thanks again for watching and supporting the channel! 👍🏾
I know right! With the price point I was thinking that it would be severely crippled but was really surprised when it wasn't! How are you liking it so far? Thanks for taking the time to watch and thanks for leaving feedback!👍🏾
Honestly I was too man! It seemed "Too Good to be true!" As I looked into them and had some conversations back and forth, I took the deal and it actually worked out pretty well for the price. Thanks as always for supporting the channel!👍🏾
Are you also getting a lot of artifacts on the receiving monitor? I just unboxed mine, and the image gets a lot of compression even at close range. This makes overall monitoring quite hard.
I have not had any issues like this at all. Keep in mind that the transmitter and receiver work on the 5Ghz Wifi band. This means that if you have other equipment (wireless routers, wireless printers, Amazon Firesticks, Google TV, Apple TV, RokuTV, wireless printers) or any wireless networks running on the same 5Ghz band in your home, they COULD be interfering with your signal between the transmitter and receiver. In addition, I would also check your HDMI cables on both ends to ensure that they aren't the issue as well. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!👍🏾
@@PurposedLensPhotoMedia thanks. There's no other 5GHz network in my studio. I'm still using wifi on 2.4. And I've tried more than one type of hdmi cable. There are still issues

1) Don't shoot video while driving, for your safety and ours! 2) Can I use this monitor using an iPhone to monitor what I see while I'm recording from the main camera? (I'm guessing I need the Lighting-to-HDMI adapter to connect to the transmitter?).
Yes! This should be able to be used with the iPhone (at least I know the 15 pro max) If you refer to my Atomos Ninja video, we see that the iPhone does work with an external monitor so, it should be able to work with this transmitter. I will have to test this out to give you an EXACT answer... thanks for taking the time to watch!👍🏾
Of course you can use the app (as stated @ 4:20 in the video) however, the Sony app doesn't give you access to some features like like False Color, Waveform, RGB Parade , LUT support, monitoring audio wirelessly via HDMI and overall range.
