      They kew she was not commodity. They were expressing it. They understand that she was not relative to the price they paid for the ticket. It’s sad though. She should be able to sing songs to her grandchildren. That is the dream in society that we are living. No chance for that here. We are told that there is no money and it’s true. Money does not exist. There is only us and the nature. We are here together as we are particles, reminisce of dead stars that gave us continuance. We are different but we are coming from stars so we are the same. It’s ok. She came and went. Too bad she hade to be so exploited by money that doesn’t exist. I rather not watch it though because she does not look well in here. Nothing of what she could be.

      She did her best, and that is what matters. The physiology of the vocal cords ages right along with the rest of the human anatomy. However, environmental influences also motivate a singer to sing a certain way. She needed more motivation from her audience. She probably was thinking about her past, this being two years after Bobby left. I am a musician, and when I perform for an excited, enthusiastic audience, it improves my performance, but when the audience is emotionless, I have no idea what they are thinking: it does affect my performance. I understand what it truly means to be an artist. People think all we do is perform, do drugs, and sleep, but no, we have lives just like regular people; we get hurt emotionally and physically. Every day is not a good day, and as Smokey Robinson says in his song, 'Tears of a Clown', 'Don't let my glad expression, give you the wrong impression, cause really I'm sad, oh, I'm sadder than sad, you're gone, and I'm hurting so bad, like a clown I appear to be glad.'

    I am professional vocal coach, composer producer and singer. My summary --
    Whitney Houston.
    Her lungs were beyond repair, even though her diaphragm was apparently intact, the lungs MUST be able to support the passage from throat to diaphragm. It's like a beautiful car with wheels but no engine. This is one of music's MOST EPIC TRAGEDIES. She was an international treasure & should've been guarded and protected as one.

    Whitney's vocal issues were deeper than just smoking. She was not in love with singing like she used to be. She was over it all. A lot of people do not think about how emotionally destroyed she was when she and Bobby split up. Whitney loved that man. They were together for 14 years. It does not matter how much turmoil they had, when you are with someone that long and then it's over, it hurts. She didn't have time to deal with all of that. Clive was being selfish and rushed her back into the studio and had her in the public eye trying to restore her image and bring in profit and Whitney was not 100% ready to make that comeback. Her mental state was not 100%, her emotional state and her voice were not ready. Then with all the backlash she received from the public about her voice, angry fans, people walking out on her shows and all these videos all over RUclips. She had to be hurting so badly. Remember Whitney was not used to the RUclips era. Her last album in 2002 "Just Whitney" was before the BIG RUclips and social media explosion. I give her credit for never giving up and standing on that stage and giving it her all even when she did not want to. Even when her voice was not 100% there. She soldiered on! She is a true champion! She kept fighting for her sobriety and was really trying to "Get it back"! but GOD wanted her more, she suffered enough! We Will Always Love you Whitney! R.I.P!

      I couldn't have said it better myself! Only thing is, I think Whitney had thought she was ready, but you're right about how badly she had been hurting. I'm sure that couldn't have been easy for her to get up on that stage every night during her last tour knowing in the previous nights shows, fans had been walking out, and she had been receiving some awful reviews. but, she gave it her all! RIP Whitney!

      I agree 100% with you. When I saw her show in moscow 2009 I thought she would be ready for her other shows. Another issue is that she should not have been doing so many shows back to back. Even when she was in her 30's she struggled doing back to back concerts. I just wish she only did a few shows.

      Whitney Fan Her record company/ management/ Clive Davis worked her to DEATH...literally....she did concert after concert, tour after tour...her voice never rested....but having said that, her smoking and the drugs were more to blame than anything.....

    • @TheRealEli717
      @TheRealEli717 10 лет назад +17

      Actually Whitney going on tour was not Clive Davis's idea. He was totally against it because he said he knew Whitney was not ready. He only wanted her to do a few TV appearances here and there but it was Whitney's decision (and I am sure it was for financial reasons) to go on tour. When she went on tour, she became sick with a upper resp. infection. She began taking steroids for the sickness and that is what caused her to gain weight and for her face to have that balloon like shape. Whitney's main issue with her voice was smoking cigarettes. Clive asked her to stop and when she did not he told her he refused to record any new music until she stopped smoking and that is why Whitney was trying so hard before her death to stop smoking and started swimming to help with breathing control. But, it was too late.

    This is heartbreaking to see because we know that she was the very best the World has ever seen. What does surprise me though is that Whitney would perform like this - knowing the issues with her voice at this point - you also have to question Clive because he put her out there knowing this. I grew up listening to and dancing around in the living room with my Mom and my sister while listening to Whitney - "I wanna Dance With Somebody", "So Emotional", etc. I don't care how badly she sounds here - she's greatness, a legend, and when she was at her best there was no other voice at any point in history that could touch her - people wanna mention Mariah and Celene, and ok, they were great, but they were also a distant second to "The Voice". Now, Whitney is singing with the Angels and I have no doubt that she's likely the leading voice in that choir also.

    One thing is true. She's much better than in 2010. She's thin, healthy, her voice isn't seriously hoarse and sounds poweful for your age, perfect vibrato, she can use high notes, she shows agility and experience, she just seems a little tired of life, and she also wasn't a girl anymore. But what is notable was the serious worsening in the following years (2010-2012)

    Heartbreaking. She was so sick with severe bronchitis but u can hear that the VOICE was on it's way back. Those notes were still in there. The higher range was still to be healed but the essence IS in there..God bless and keep her. Miss u forever whitney. Never be another!.❤❤❤❤❤ 7:39

    Ive never seen this footage, thanks for sharing. I for one think that, considering that it seems to be cold, she did pretty good. The fact that you can hit any note clearly with the wind blowing is remarkable
