Emily your storytelling is superb. I had to subscribe to join you on the adventures. I enjoy the witty moments like the camera technique used at Karen's home interview and your attention to the main details that make the bigger picture excellent.

Hey Emily, your videos are absolutely amazing! Your passion and energy are so contagious, and every time I watch, I feel like I'm seeing Kenya through your eyes. You have a way of connecting with people that’s just so genuine, and I can’t help but admire you more each day. Keep shining and inspiring us all-you’re one of a kind, and honestly, anyone would be lucky to have you in their life. ❤️"
@EscapewithEmily11 Emily, watching your videos makes me feel like I've known you for ages. Your energy, passion, and kindness make you someone I'd love to get to know beyond the screen. If you're ever up for a coffee or exploring together, I’d be thrilled to meet you and hear more about your journey in person. And if you're comfortable, maybe we could stay connected-I'd love to keep supporting you even beyond RUclips. What do you think? 😊"
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. Kenya was named after Mount Kenya, the country's highest mountain and a key landmark. The name "Kenya" is believed to have originated from the Kikuyu, Embu, and Kamba words for the mountain-Kirinyaga, Kiinyaa, or Kenyaa, meaning "mountain of whiteness" due to its snow-capped peaks. British explorers and colonizers later adapted the name of the mountain to "Kenya," and it became the name of the entire country. whereas The name "Nairobi" comes from the Maasai phrase Enkare Nairobi, which means "cool water" or "place of cool waters." This name refers to the Nairobi River, which flows through the area. When the British established a rail depot in Nairobi in the late 19th century, the settlement around it gradually grew, eventually becoming the capital of Kenya.
No. Some of these theories are unlikely to be true. Kenya was not named after Mt Kenya, but the mountain was named after the country. The only way to know how the British found the name 'Kenya' is if we get their records from 19th century. But until then, we can continue to read these legends of being named after the Mt Kenya.
@@patriot_2022are you dumb??? The mountain was named mountain of "kirinyaga" by the actual kirinyaga locals before 16 or 19th centuries and the british couldn't pronounce kirinyaga so they called it "KINYAA" don't be stupid and stop hating on bantus❗️
Hi Emily. It is Nairobi that means place of cool waters. But, the name 'Kenya', the British should give us the records of the 19th century so that we know how they found that name. There is only wild guesses here in Kenya over what it means, with some just making meanings up.
