  • Fast moving and fun debate between Vocab Malone and atheist David Fitzgerald of the Secular Student Alliance. David is the author of Nailed, a book arguing Jesus never existed. Our focus is the non-biblical evidence for Jesus, such as the Jewish historian Josephus. The description States fast moving debate, why were people upset that each person was talking over the other one at times? Neither of The debaters seem to have a problem with it. And in the end it appeared that they enjoyed each other's back and forth.
I'm pretty sure most of the people who said this have been guilty at some point in their life of doing the exact same thing. Because of passion about a subject, their own ideals on a subject and at times even blind yet zealous ignorance on a subject.
David even does it at the end of the debate as vocab is throwing some information his way because he doesn't agree with vocabs thoughts on the matter.
Onlookers and commenters upset about nothing.

@@blairansellfraser Good afternoon, Blair. ah no. The Bible is the most studied book in history. Why do archaeologists doing "digs" in the Middle East first consult the Bible? Please give me ONE example of where archaeology does NOT support the Bible. Several atheists have concluded - Ehrman and Gerd Ludemann - that the historical account is accurate.
Sir William Ramsay was a classics professor at Oxford who set out to DISPROVE the Bible by doing Paul's "walk" through ACTS. @@sandypidgeon4343 I was just being silly. I've done more research on the origin of Christianity and have reached an intriguing position: the texts Christianity is based on, is in actuality one of the most clever, vicious post-war political satires ever written wherein the leaders and followers of a defeated rebellion are maliciously mocked and the military triumphs of the victors and the victors themselves are glorified. In the Gospels a Jesus is even pressed in a wine press! Another Jesus, in the Wars of the Jews by Josephus Flavius, is crushed with a stone hurled from a catapult as soon as he says "...and woe to me also!" Ha! Looney Tunes! Have a great day.

@@sandypidgeon4343 Primarily because, sequentially, geographically and conceptually, Gospel Jesus's ministry matches The Wars of The Jews military campaign of Titus Flavius, the Roman general who surrounded Jerusalem with a wall and destroyed the temple. Jesus's "prophecies" are like taunting puns depicting scenes and triumphs of Titus Flavius as he wars through Judea. For example in the same location, at the start of both of their "beginnings", Gospel Jesus "prophecies" "...I will make you fishers of men...we will catch men." And in Wars of the Jews, Titus Flavius has a sea battle where he literally catches and fishes for men, the Jewish rebels, during the sea battle. Prophecy fulfilled! This is the type of humor of the combined literature. Jesus will say something "mysterious", "symbolic"-and Titus will do it or it will literally happen. And these parallel connections just keep occurring in EXACT sequence! Here's another. Remember Gospel Simon's three denials that he is not Jesus's disciple? In Wars of the Jews guess how many times Titus tells rebel Simon to surrender and guess how many times rebel Simon refuses: yep. Three times. Archaeologically coins have been discovered from the Jewish rebellion that have Eleazar/Lazarus (that's a whole nother fascinating can of worms) on one side and Simon, on the other. The works are supposed to be read together to understand this subsurface satirical dimension. Check out Caeser's Messiah by Joseph Atwill, he does a lot of the heavy lifting. You can check this premise yourself by analyzing Josephus Flavius works in combination with the Bible/Gospels. I recommend the kindle versions (easier to search). The audio version of Caeser's Messiah is terrific as well. Test this premise. Let me know what you think, what you discover. Who knew the bible could be so entertaining! If you want a few more examples let me know. Enjoy your day/night.

@@sandypidgeon4343 that was written well after jesus was dead. Gospel of Mark, not written by mark, was the first gospel written approx 75 /78 CE

@@Augfordpdoggie ah no, Auggie the Doggie...(I do remember that cartoon - lol). Although I don't adhere to Markian priority, Mark was written in the early 60's when Peter was in Rome. Mark was his amanuensis or secretary. Peter dictated to Mark what appears in Mark. Peter was executed circa 67 AD. Kinda tough to write the words of a dead man, huh? None of the Gospels, nor ACTS, talks about the Temple destruction - would that have not been notable? All were written BEFORE that time. As well, all the Gospels were written on wax tablets and skins as Paul says in 1 Cor 15 "what I received I GAVE to you". These oral histories were attested to by groups over and over. Hope that explains it. GOD Bless.

@Melvin Carter none of those were alive at the time of jesus except for saul, and saul/ pauls supposed counter withjesus doesnt count because it is not independently verifed. And according to the bible no man can look upon the lord. So which is it? Believin st. Paul is like believing the follower of a political party. Like i said no contemporary evidence

Atheists , from a philosophical point makes you believe in so many unreasonable things just so everything has to fall into place for the argument against it that believing Jesus Christ is the son of God is the only reasonable thing to do.

How is believing in an invisible being , and stories of a man who may or may not of existed as being the son of that invisible being reasonable ? How is that any more reasonable then believing in fairies ?

Yeshua is not the son of Yahweh, but it's okay to "believe" it. Doesn't make it a fact though.

@Oatmeal Richard Dawkins is your God. Bow down and obey. And listen to all the institutions that tell you what to believe. What a joke. Calling others indoctrinated while all your beliefs are mainstream 😂😂😂

If a Jesus character did exist there's no reliable way to know anything about him.

This is a stupid debate. The earth is flat.

The flat earth model will disappear as soon as youtube starts demonetizing it. Nibiru and their fear mongerers disappeared after the first wave of youtube demonetization. Flat earth and a Jupiter sized planet X are scams abusing adsense along with the latest who were banned proclaiming GTA 6 unboxings.
