  • Strummer-Setzer Collaboration from Brian Setzer Orchestra's album of the same title. As far as I know this track is only available in the Japanese CD version. This is a long track, nearly 7 minutes actually but please wait patiently for time stamp 1 minute 12 seconds to decide if you like the song or not.

    Setzer n Strummer, it doesn't get more Rock n Roll than these two cats together. Bet they had a ball driving through the States. Brian said Joe photographed everything and it made him appreciate the country through Joe's eyes.

    Thanks for posting. I had no idea Joe Strummer even joined him on stage. I have seen the Stray Cats in concert, but my greatest regret is not going to see the Clash at the US Festival (I believe that was the name of it). I think the Stray Cats performed there too... Too bad this was not caught on film too.

    It appears this track was sped up to play a 1/2 step higher in key. I have a copy of this same track from a cassette runoff pre-release, way before Guitar Slinger the album was even finished, and it's a 1/2 step lower in key, with the TRT clocking in at 7:08. If I subtract the count-off, it clocks at 7:06. Apparently it's the same track as yours but a 1/2 step lower in key, hence the time shift.

    OK. So Guitar Slinger is the title track, Brian Setzer is hard to find. But what is Joe Strummer? Legend right?

    • @junneri3144
      @junneri3144  3 года назад +2

      Sorry you misunderstood, my reference for "hard to find" is the track Guitar Slinger, not Brian Setzer. It is only availabe in the Japanese release of the album...will correct my post

    • @junneri3144
      @junneri3144  3 года назад +2

      Not everyone may agree but my personal opinion is that both are legends. Setzer has done a lot for rockabilly and is one of the guitar greats. Strummer is a punk and songwriting legend. "Straight To Hell" and "White Man in Hammersmith Palais" are just two of many examples of his songwriting genius.

    • @moe17moe
      @moe17moe 3 года назад +2
