That "The Greg Hill Show" girl is a massive harpy. I couldn't help but actually say out loud "Oh, shut up already"... people are absolutely desperate for any sort of controversy, it's rather annoying at this point.

I'm so encouraged by Butker's courage when it comes to speaking out about his faith. I'm proud to be a Christian, a Kansan, and a KC Chiefs fan! :D

The comment counter now says there 12 comments posted but if you count the number of comments at the time I post this comment you will only find 9 (besides this one) because the other two you don't see are ones I posted that are censored by RUclips'. Apparently they don't want you to know what I have to say, but below this OP I will explain how you can circumvent that and still access them.

When using the RUclips app on your tablet or phone, find the comment settings at the top of the comment section and switch from the default "Top" to "Newest". That's it. After you've done that you'll be able to see all comments that aren't otherwise visible.

One quibble I have with the speech is this line here:
"I can tell you that my beautiful wife, Isabelle, would be the first to say that her life truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother."
To be fair to Butker, maybe this is exactly what his wife said to him, so that's why he said it in his speech. He also wasn't saying to the audience "YOUR life won't truly begin until you have a family." However, even if his wife said this to him, I still wouldn't want to *imply* to a group of single, childless people that their lives don't truly "begin" until they get married and start a family. That's quite depressing for people like me who haven't been able to find anyone yet. Emphasizing the importance of getting married and starting a family, and emphasizing how life changing it is, is fine, especially since many people nowadays seem to value marriage less and/or are getting married later in life, but that can be done without implying that that's when life truly begins.

As a woman who loves being a wife and mother, it's insulting for him to tell women who have just worked so hard for a degree that what they will love the most is being homemakers. It was a poor choice of words.

Either you believe it's true or you don't. Apparently you don't believe what he said was true, so you believe you're atypical for a woman? Is it insulting to tell a woman she's wrong if she's wrong? How else will she know? Obviously he doesn't literally believe all women are naturally the same, a good faith attitude informs us he spoke on women as a monolith and not down to every last individual.
If you're saying he's wrong, but he's right for you, all you're doing is countersignalling for the side you're not standing on, just because he's a guy. Like come on lol can you just admit that he's right? He was for you, no?

He didn't say that though. Listen again. Have you ever heard the saying, you're feelings are valid. That's bs. You made up stuff in you're head that he didn't say and are angry about it. Or you just didn't really listen to the speech.

This was a silly episode. Superficial takes on contemporary politics, and I simply cannot see why Craig feels any need to defend that guy.

Because women prioritizing their careers so they have an escape parachute for leaving a marriage later in life is destroying the birth rates my friend.

@@xravenx24fean escape parachute for leaving marriage? I’d try to explain how reductive and sexist this comment is, but I’m sure it’s lost on you since that’s your take. Also, who cares about birth rates…

@@xravenx24fe What? Is that a reason for Craig to engage with this person? Social security beyond one's husband seems like a good idea. They say they couldn't find anyone who actually responded to Butker and interpret that as if people generally find his speech fine. But the truth is probably that he isn't worth engaging with and the "left" recognise this.
