I am aware now that there is an Easter Egg on the right side of the NES where there’s a level from Super Mario. While building I thought that was motherboard components 😂
I saw one person pointed out that while they were building the game tray that the parts looked like a Nintendo switch. They were a black technic rectangle and a red and light blue piece that went on the sides
I saw a Copy version on aliexpress. that has a Different Game, and the japanese Famicon/NES console
This dude has to fucking idea.
@Achronic Deth
Definitely NOT overpriced.
Just because it isn’t worth it to YOU doesn’t mean it isn’t worth it those who have bought it.
@Achronic Deth dude do you know how much lego costs? anyway you get lots of other stuff with it aswell. I myself wouldn’t pay it, but that doesn’t mean other people won’t
You missed the Easter Egg warp world in the NES
there is another easter egg in the NES system. open up one of the side panels, idk which one, but there is a Mario course
"I've never played Nintendo 64 so I don't know if this is the actual start point"
And just like that
I’ve been reminded that I am no longer a “young man”. Kids these days will forget about the things that we enjoyed back in the day.
It's not a Nintendo 64.. it's a NES
I was about to type that in the comments
I was thinking he’s gonna get roasted in the comments.
I spit out my tequila
I haven't built Legos in like a decade, I built this and had such a good time I'm back into it like when I was a kid
I really wanna get one of these to put next to the original nes and the mini
Timeless what’s up!
Hudson Bruce sup dude
When you buy something that says Nintendo you expect quality and fun, I’m really glad LEGO was able to capture that. Here’s hoping for LEGO Zelda in the future.
Lego: The Legend of Zelda would be the perfect line.
Hopefully this partnership between Lego and Nintendo continues
@@_KaiTheGamer_ The Lego of Zelda: Breath of the Stud
I was looking for validation for getting this as a gift for my partner, and I found it here! Thank you😂 I’m so excited! He’s going to LOVE building this and he loves sets with cool mechanisms. So psyched!
The concept is super cool and executed very well! Super iconic!
Perfect crossovers don't exi-
I remember when it was the Taj Mahal and the Eiffel tower sets for that price ,ahhh lego has came a great way but dang i definitely have to save to get this for my moms memorial set... She loved the NES as it was her first system and now that i can build it im going to have to make myself a second controller and customize my set for her. It may sound messed up but lego and Nintendo is where me and my mom actually got along lego helped us escape from our crappy daily with eachother for a bit. Now i have my own two kids and only wish she was here to share our lego moments together again. But the grandkids love it just as much as we did 🦋
just a heads up david, you can remove the plate on top to access the mario barcode without removing any 6x6 tiles. just push down near the front of the plate and it will go down and make the back flip up!
I just bought this for my nephews and had no idea about the functions....im so excited for them to get this!!....it looks like an old 1982 Zenith tv lol
Awesome set. Love the detail!!
When you first showed the cartridge around 7 minutes in, I was like "please blow on it please blow on it" hahahahah I'm glad you did LOL
This is actually so cool, I love this, I hope they make a wii version later bc thats what I grew up with
I grew up with the Super Nintendo with a 90s TV style pretty similar to that one. Must have been a small 10" TV 📺
This was fun to build, I'm happy i got the Mario starter pack with it as a bonus
I built my first 18 plus set when I was 9, it took me 14 hours
holy crap this is insane!!!!!!
Awesome set David
Is he not gonna show everyone the warp room 1 easter egg on the side of the nintendo????
That TV looks like my first TV back when my dad bought NES for me. I was 14" Sanyo black and white CRT TV. =) It even had the Simpsons style antennas in the back.
They were called "rabbit ears"
It's one of the coolest Lego play functions. 👍
That box is tuge, I would hope LEGO and Nintendo teams up to make more of these depending of permits (Castelvania, Metal Gear Solid, Legend if Zelda, Kirby, etc).
Hi, After scanning the tag on the TV, If you move forward Mario, he will react acordingly to the colors on the belt ;)
Thank bro now I know if I should buy this or not!
I’d like to see someone connect a Lego power motor to the screen function
Last time I built something that impressive was the Lego Voltron set from 2018. It was $180 but it felt like i built a $250 set
I am so hoping to get this by the end of the year. Now I just also hope LEGO can capitalize and make a LEGO PlayStation and I mean the original PlayStation from 1996 with either the original controller or even the dual shock.
Original PlayStation came out in 1995
Cool set
Missed the warp world Easter egg.
waiting for a snes. But im happy with new atari
I like the manufacture date on the TV being the Japanese release date for the NES, 7/15/1983
Awesome!
Funny I actually have the console I would love to have the lego set to compare it with!
*Builds a set showing NES Mario Bros*
"I never played Nintendo 64"
Cool!
You forgot to mention the warp world Easter egg.
This set is one of the best sets ever!!!
Wait? How was this set released in Japan?
Where do i get the stand from the Thumbnail?
I will say, my set did not include the tube pieces or the antenna for the TV. Cool build but disappointing.
As usual, fantastic but a bit to expensive
No it’s not, $230 is a great price. It’s such a beautiful set. I actually went to the LEGO store on release day to pick it up. Got there 2 hours before opening and was 10th in line. Apparently some of the people had been camping outside in front of the MOA location to get it for sure. By the time the store opened the line was about 200 people long, but they only had 25 sets, and about 15 Grand Piano’s.
There’s always that one guy 🤦🏼♂️ idk when people are going to realize you’re never going to get a set that’s super large with thousands of pieces, tons of detail and features, and cost $10. That was a hyperbole I know, but the point still stands. The fact is Lego isn’t necessarily an inexpensive toy company and that’s just how it is, much in the same way cars are expensive, that’s just how it is. So this constant slew of people whining about the price regardless of how great of a deal it actually is has gotten well out of hand and extremely irritating and ridiculous. If it’s too much for you, then don’t buy and and just go about your business. Not that hard.
yes
"This is an adult lego set"
Me who's turning 13:
Also, this video was uploaded on my birthday, and this is my dream set for this year!
Plot twist: it basically becomes a $300 set by the end of 2021.
is the Mario on the tv screen considered a mini figure? lol
3:43 nooooo! there is 3 stickers! how did you not notice when u was building the set????????????//
SO COOL!!! ...except it costs more than real one!
Was hoping he would of showed the Easter egg by removing the right panel on the NES :(
cool
Did you say Nintendo 64.😑
I had a double take too, definitely not an 80s/90s child lol!
The model no. On the back is actually the set number
Hello there
The level on the tv is based on world 1-1 of the game. The NES has a part of another level built into the side next to the vents
They accidentally gave me 3 lime green pieces instead of 3 green pieces for part of a bush.
hi
if they made a Apple lego kit i would buy it instantly
Yes, for the Apple trash kit 2000 dollar, same price for Apple shit.
What is this intendo brand you keep talking about? like here 0:09 or here 3:07
...
😉
8:49
Nintendo 64.
NiNTeNdO 64???
And nah, but some of it is similar to parts of 1-1 in SMB.
Lego definitely stole the design from that guy, but its very cool
“This is where the console started.” WRONG WRONG WRONG
Mario's Brothers???? 6:50
Best set from Mario
Bro I just want LEGO Zelda
Hopefully theyll make sets when BOTW2 drops
It started wit Atari
Nes not n64
Hi
intendo
At the time this comment was posted, nobody has finished the video yet
Why do you say Intendo? lol. There is an N.
The dude said nintendo 64. Wtf. Do your research
Guys... if you watched the stream yesterday you’d know that he hasn’t played Mario in a while, and if you have no idea about the Easter egg, you might miss it, as it seems like part of the mechanism for the game cartridge. He also didn’t think it’d be worth it to edit the review and put it in.
I have à real NES
NINTENDO not Intendo ffs
DAFUQ, YOU NOT PLAY THIS GAME HOMIE 😒
Dude showing his young years with his “original where it all started console” crap
0:0001
The way you talk is way more professional, have you been taking classes or something? Used to get really cheesed off with how you would speak with the uhhhs and repeating guys but this one was super professional

It's very nice, but I have a big issue with this set. Why would I buy a LEGO set resembling a NES for $230 when I can buy an original working NES for way less than that??? It honestly makes no sense to me
Several months late, I know, but it's because it is meant to be a display piece for those with nostalgia and fans of both Lego and Nintendo. Not to mention the amount of pieces the set contains.
Nintendo poo PlayStation supreme

@@darko_dulic What's bad about Nintendo then that's better about playstation?
The fact that they didnt make this a working system was a huge missed oppurtunity tbh..it really wouldnt be that hard to at least add a simple 20 game emulator that is very simple and only requires a couple cables
It's Lego not a Rasberry shell...
