Hey LEGO, I Fixed Your NES! - I Built A LEGO NES That Really Works!

- I Built a LEGO NES That Actually Works! I bought the Lego Nintendo Entertainment System set to build on camera. It took quite a while to build but looked pretty cool when I was done... but it's just a Lego set so I doesn't actually play games. So I decided to fix that by building my own version which will fit original NES games and actually play those games.

About This Video: In this video I decided to do something different: build a working NES console using Lego's! It was kind of hart to make all the necessary components fit while still making it look mostly like an NES but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

They won't. Too many potential lawsuits. People getting electrocuted, R.F exposures and many other regulations LEGO will not pass. The best they'll do is put a battery blinking lights and motor in a Lego build vehicle and call it a day.

10 year old me (who built a Lego DVD Player as a kid) would have thought this was the best thing ever.
Ha, ha..I'm 40 and think it's pretty cool! A Lego DVD player is pretty impressive!
Around that age the best I did with lego's was a crossbow using a rubber band. It was pretty unreliable and not very powerful (only enough to drive a pensil in a pinboard from about 2 meters).

Yeah Lego is weird, there could be like 3 bags labelled 7, 2 labelled 3 and 1 labelled 1. I have no idea why it's like that when they could just fit all step X bags in one bag but they do
I just opened them all and tipped them on the floor

Impressive, especially since you needed to fix the scale. In my opinion the looks are good, although I understand your own criticism as the builder. It's just that Lego are parts of fixed dimensions, the grid size basically, and it's just sheer luck if external things happen to fit. But there's nothing you can do about masking extra gaps, unless you do it by modifying pieces greatly. I suppose you could 3D print legit looking but custom designed parts. It would lessen the purity, naturally. If it was just a couple of masks for the button/connector gaps, which you would explain/introduce separately, and honourably show the finished product with and without, I don't think anyone would mind so much they would call you a cheater. But then again, I'm not a part of the Lego community, so I wouldn't know how strict they are.
i would LOVE to see more of these really cool tech mods. Retro is super in right now. thanks for your patience and for posting, it was fun watching :)

I think it was mentioned in designer videos and such. At least, Nintendo fans managed to spot it.
Very nice dude , not expecting that at all ...surprised me ; love it

It does hurt seeing a lego creation get "destroyed" but on the positive side youre making an actually working NES so theres no losses just wins :)
