Rob Liefeld's Captain America: the book so bad that it's been accused of killing Mark Gruenwald.
Seriously, word is that previous longtime Captain America writer Mark Gruenwald (a healthy man with no known issues who loved the character enough to write Steve Rogers for ten years) took home his complimentary copy after work and *coincidentally* died overnight.

Ok, here's your Doom-who-is-dagger pitch: Victoria Von Doom, college friend of Reed Richards, convinces him to use his experimental portal to go to hell and rescue her mom. They fail, and the exposure to the infernal rays turns them into Dagger and Cloak, respectively.
They also mess up her face but not the rest of her body, that's why the power armour has the ridiculous giant cross boob window.
I guess she's a hero now? Definitely the eviler one of the pair, but they do remain friends and go do heroing together.

Some of those Super Patriot comics were pretty good. When it goes into his origins, and his past, as well as his children...
If and when they eventually get 3 comics in the wrong box, they should then do a G,B,&U episode on the comics in the wrong box.

My headcanon for the whole super soldier coming out of the ice and being a reporter is that the steve part died in the ice and the clark part tookover cos he’s kryptonian

Regarding "Metallo," it's a combination Mentallo and The Sleeper (a super-robot created by The Red Skull before he went into cryo-sleep).
I have that Amalgam issue. The art is great and it's a good story
Super Patriot was cool, they don't know anything about the character, he was a Superman type character in the 60's who was attacked by a gang of super powered individuals when he was a senior citizen.
Half of his face was bitten off and his limbs were also.
His body was acquired by the government after he was built by enemy forces and they reprogramed him.
The reason he sees Savage Dragon in the simulations is because he got trashed by him when he was under enemy control.
It's as solid idea as any other!
The issue still sucks.
My only familiarity with Super Patriot is his appearance in Invincible- I legit didn't know at the time that he was a pre-existing character. I thought he was just another parody character that Kirkman came up with. That says a lot imo

I will always have a special place in my heart for Erik Larsen because of his Spider-Man run that I read when I was 7 or 8. My uncle had some back issues of that run and gave them to me as a gift so that was one of my first Spidey runs, along with Peter David’s excellent all-ages “Marvel Adventures Spider-Man” series.
Yay! I know this isn't the easiest series to produce but I love it!

1. Glad this series is back. I've come to love it as much or more than back issues because you get to work in more comments on industry stuff and quality stories aren't always a feature. 2. The Salem witches were hanged. Not burned. This is a common but completely wrong belief. No burnings if witches occurred on the continent of North America.

The only reason I know of Super Patriot's existence is through a Youngblood comic, which is still in my possession.

I had the Super Patriot Action Figure.
There was an in continuity female sidekick for Cap named Free Spirit. Unfortunately,they didn't do much with her. Or another male character named Jack Flag.
Instead of Super Soldier, they should have named him The American Dream

I actually liked how Liefeld changed the big "A" on Captains America's forehead into a eagle. I always hated how he just had a big "A" on his forehead. The eagle was cooler. Everything else about the book was trash though.
Nobody likes it when you change up an iconic costume. I always thought the A was too random and opened the character up for jokes about what the A REALLY stood for.

Super Patriot was a character from Savage Dragon, not Youngblood. That's why Larsen was involved with the 'story'. Still an amazingly sad and horrid book, though. ;)
I hate to say, box or not, the way you described that book sounds so bad that I really want to see and laugh at each page. Actually considering getting an electronic copy, just to study and laugh at the art.
How is writing the story different than writing the plot?
