Amalgam was a weird comic series when it came out. Since I knew next to nothing about DC most of the joke names/merging made no sense to me. I think if it was released today it would be better received. However, I am glad I kept the issues. I wonder what comics they would make today? Maybe merge Daredevil and Batman? Blinded when fleeing the murder of his parents, Bruce Murdock learned the law and honed his body. Now he fights crime as the Devil of Gotham, the Daring Bat! Bullseye and Joker as Punchline (the joke that always hits it's audience). Spider-man and Blue Beetle? Bitten by a Spider totem in an ancient tomb, Peter Kord became Azure Arachnid! Wonder Woman and Jane Foster Thor? She who lifts this hammer, if she be worthy and carry love in her heart for all, will become the Wonder Woman Shazam and Odinson? Some kind of merging of Thor and Shazam, where they call down the Thunder to become a warrior? Superman and Sentry? Except it's Zod for the Void and Lex Banner is The Hulk (exposure to gamma kryptonite changed him)? Wolverine and a Talon? Maybe Weapon O (for Owls). The program was to make unkillable Talon armies.
I agree with Sal, they should bring back the Amalgam line. There's so much potential in this universe and it's sad that it hasn't been fulfilled or revisited in 20 years.

Something that always bugs me about Wolverine's admanatium skeleton is his teeth. Shouldn't they be coated in the metal? I mean sometimes he has been reduced to a skeleton and it has teeth. When he gets turned into a vampire how would he have vampire teeth?
I think Spider-Boy is bad, but it's almost so bad it's good in my eyes. I bought it for the first time this year because why not. And yeah, it's garbage, but it's stupid fun, and it's a time capsule of the mid-90s.
