I had a kitten that was born with a messed up leg and several vets told me to put her down with no examination at all. It was so disturbing to see how little these vets actually care about the lives of animals.

I always say if there is life there is hope. If one of these vets had a newborn baby with a messed up leg, he wouldn't put him or her down. C'mon vets out there it's time to think outside the box like this vet did on Bondi Vet.

I had a kitten born like the same way, with all the front pawn twisted but now he's ok.. he has normal leg, only with exercise ( soft push on his leg ) and movement.. he run a lot, jump, and climb. Don't worry :D the vet has saw him when he was 15 days old and not too optimistic but I don't care.. and now he's normal :))) very very happy

@@jewstine1 a little massage of the legs twisted, and then , when he's growing up, more exercise, soft, not too hard and then when it's start to move or run more the legs , he became normal. Just see. I started the exercise at 2or 3 weeks, on a newborn , it's dangerous. Check if he or she take the milk from the mother. My cat, with front pawn twisted, for 1 or 2 days after born, he wouldn't be able to take all the milk in the correct way ( by making biscuit on the mother) . I weight him every day, and he began to gain weight like the other kittens. Now he's very big :D more than the other..
But first talk to your vet, maybe he'll give you better informations.
      good Luck! :) update me

My mom went to go pick up a calico kitten which was part of a litter of I believe 14 cats when she saw a little black ball of fur half the size of the other kittens. My mom asked about that tiny little black ball and was told that he was the last kitten out so both a room and both his back legs were deformed (both bent inwards at the wrist). He also had trouble eating because the other kittens would push him away so they were just kind of waiting for him to die. My mom, who always had the biggest soft spot for the misfits and underdogs said she'd take him and brought him home. She named him rodeo, he was 8 weeks old but had the movement of a kitten about half his age. With only 3 cats in the household he managed to eat and thrive. My mom did take him to the vet when he was an adult but the vet told her in order to fix his legs both his back legs would have to be broken and reset plus the chances would be he'd lose all mobility in his back legs. He didn't really suffer at all, instead he knew he was different and expected everybody to treat him as the special kitty he was. He still loved to try hunting, could jump on couches and needs and the way he walked and even ran was so cute. One back leg was always in front of the other and all you'd hear was thump, thump, thump. When he got to running it was much louder and almost sounded like a washing machine. He built calluses on his wrist joints to they were pretty tough but they would occasionally bother him, especially on harder surfaces. His solution was he just figured out how to walk doing a handstand. He was good at it too and could even do a handstand going up the stairs. We do believe there was soon inbreeding that happened because he had lots of extra toes. On his back paws he had I think 11 toes on one foot and 13 on the other plus each back for had an extra smaller pad next to the normal pad his front paws each had about 7 toes. Amazingly he lived to be about 15 years old and had been gone for about 8 years now but I still remember some of his quirks fondly such as anytime you are by him he'd reach one his front paws or anytime you went to take I bite and try to steal your fork with the good on it. He never let his differences get in his way and in fact I'm sure he used them to his advantage. My mom loved that cat so much, he was her baby. He was put down a few years after my mom passed and I like to think they are back together again and wherever they are that rodeos little for thumps are still following him everywhere he goes

That would be the last time you saw me in that vet's office, no matter how far I'd have to drive.

I don't know why vets would say to put the kitten down. At the very least, wait and see if she has other issues. If she thrives, with a deformed leg, then when she's older you could either leave it be, amputate so she can run and jump (tripods do just fine), or give her surgery (or therapy) if it's treatable. Anyway I've just watched the first minute of the video, I'm interested to see what the vet has to say!
