Keep it up :) Had some difficulties getting my decals to work. Saw a bunch of sulotions but your video solved it with the is.25 tip.
My favorite thing to do as of late is I find several things I like, especially if it is just one detail about each and then take them and make a single object that combines all those details into one model. Makes for a ton of fun!
9:15 How do you instantiate the cutter for use with the new cube? I tried your steps but ended up affecting the prior cut for which that cylinder cutter was used. Can anyone chime in?
Hi. The manip seen at 11:35 doesn't work. Is there a tool we need to activate in Machine Tools or maybe this operator is not available with the free version? Thx for the reply.
ryuu i feel like your aproach to some to boaleans is very messy in some placeses with a little manipulation of the cutter and adding a weld modifier could help you improve you cutting through curved surfaces
OK, trying to follow this, but you're way to quick for me. At around 6:45 you start mirroring the inital booleans you have created. I cannot for the life of me get my model to do this. I have tried the alt-x, and alt-x D options, but it simply does not mirror the cutters. What are you doign that I cannot see? Or what am I doing wrong.
Ponte Ryuurui it's just a regular hops mirro, alt x, nothing fancy, if you already have mirror running, you may wanna press a, to add secondary mirror, also hold shift

i think that this is an absolute rubbish. It does not matter what you use, as long as you can get the job done. blender is a beast with addons.Stop wasting time on comparing software and get on with your studies. Tempus fugitive.
@@PonteRyuurui Before Blender you worked in another editor, which means that you compared features and saw the superiority of Blender and went to it. The key word is compare. Attaboy - forget Blender and work in 3d canvas and learn learn learn learn :)

@@Disg_lion if this is gonna be a static game asset then ngons are all good , you just need to triangulate properly to make the asset ready for pbr texturing in substance or quixel. As long as the shading is good and you properly triangulate its gonna work on texturing softwares as well as game engines . Cheers!!

i dont likle playing with weld modif, it's irritating and not very precise, als it often messed up geo elsewhere
I can reccomend you checking Warframe to get some ideas of scifi

If you think you can't texture ngons, you need to go and start from square 1. This has been possible pretty much forever.
