Your builds are incredible. I'm doing them one by one and my little world is looking fantastic. Thank you so very much - I appreciate your time and effort.
Unfortunately, I'm having the same issues as many others. The coral can't go on the trapdoor, and the sugarcane keeps breaking. It's most likely due to the fact that the tutorial was created in the Java Edition, whereas others may not have Java. My recommendation is to put a grass block down to put the sugar cane on, that way it doesn't touch the water. For the lillies, use a warped fence. The coral will be dead, but they'll still be there.
i really like how you used the lapis to show where to put the blocks sometimes i find tutorials quite hard like it scrambles my brain but this was made so clear thank you
Just want to say a huge thank you for making this tutorial. I've spent the last two days building this in survival and now it is finished I have a delighted grin from ear to ear. It's sooooo pretty. Only thing I have left to find is some turtles for the egg, then I will probably spend a long time sat beside it, fishing and just smiling. Thank you.
@@onbelangrijk9705 I didn't know how many of each block was needed. I had to watch the video and pause every few blocks and then go get the necessary items. It made copying the build take much longer than it should have done, but the end result is worth it because it is so beautiful.
For those who can't get the coral to be colored, try using the amethyst bud, it looks cool and the color of the purple and the cyan look really good, and if the sea pickles don't work on the glass, try a brown candle, it gives it a more realistic cattail look, hope this helps 🤗
If using this in the castle courtyard, start with counting over 5 instead of 6 for the bridge at both ends of the bridge, and save yourself a lot of rebuilding!!!! LOVE all of your videos!
Hotfixes for bedrock players: Sugarcane: You have to either put a grass block underneith or just not have sugarcane Coral: Use regular bubble coral ontop of the trapdoors, it wont dry out Cat tails: Use a flowerpot instead of sea pickles
Awesome! Your builds inspired me to start a Japanese village / Edo-era city in Minecraft. So far I've built foundations for a few of your shops and a grand pagoda from elsewhere. Now in process of building Osaka Castle :) This will make a nice addition to what's between the lines. Thank you and all the best!
For those who can’t get the coral on top of the trapdoor I’m on a Nintendo switch and don’t have a shift button. But when I crouch down and place the coral it works!!hope this helps
This build feet so well with the others that you already did, and of course looks amazing! I personally don't like much the sugar canes inside the water, but its easy to adjust that on my world.
Hi @Cortezerino I've been doing your builds for around 3 months now... I found your channel and it's awesome! Please keep it up, your designs are so creative and so detailed that I love them! Japanese style construction is so cool!
I have just finished making this and love it, thank you! Had the same problem with the coral as others but the fence post thing worked. I also had a problem with the sea pickle and glass but used a brown candle and it looks good and works!
I absolutely love your builds and they truly bring out Japanese culture and architecture. Can you possibly do a smaller castle tutorial in the future, it would greatly help my world and possibly other peoples aswell
idk if this helps anyone, but since the Brain Coral Fan kept dying for me -probably because I'm playing in Bedrock, I just put regular Brain Coral on the trap door -seems to work. For the reeds, I put a temporary block in the water and put a green candle on top, u can even light the candle with flint n steel (thank u update). Then removed my temporary block and put the glass pane where the temporary block was. edit: I ended up using Bubble Coral (not Bubble Coral FAN, looks like some ppl are getting confused in the comments) it is shorter and looks more like a lily imo than Brain Coral. Also wanted to say, amazing tutorial love the outcome
This is the second tutorial I have done from you. You do a wonderful job of explaining where things go. Extremely helpful! Thank you. So easy to follow!
Friendly reminder: If you’re building the castle or the 32x32 build, always check your angle positions of each specific build. Had to restart because of that careless mistake 😅 Great vid btw 😎
Me too, so I just put brain coral only one block down (it sticks out of the water just a little) and for the sea pickle I just used conduits on top of the glass pane plus you place them side ways.
Thought I knew that accent !! Glad to hear from a local for a change. Well done on your gardens, they are amazing. I stumbled across your garden on a page for best minecraft gardens and didn't realise there was a tutorial as I didn't click the link - duh! I've been learning more about this game the past two days. I love Creation mode and love to build. I learnt about seeds and coordinates. I found a hotel and after getting all the critters out - well I hope I did - and giving the place lots of light I set about clearing the foliage away from the hotel and mining away the rock. I want to turn it into a 5 star hotel and revamp the interior. I mined behind the hotel and and had an unattractive area to fill with something. Looking for a beautiful garden to go behind the hotel I found one of yours. I am not creative. The funny thing is, I chose the Zen garden and the Koi Pond to go together, then found this video in which you said they go together - how awesome is that. They look great in the area I have. Thanks for the videos and the great work !!! Easy to understand video which is excellent. I've sub'ed and looking forward to seeing more of your amazing work. Thanks heaps.
I love your tutorials! I just started playing for the first time two days ago (yes i know I'm late to the game lol), but you're really helping me with my lack of creativity hehe. Thanks!
To put the coral on the warped trap door place a block one above the water next to it then use the regular brain coral instead of the fan one and tap on the side of the block that’s next to your trap door above the trap door and it’ll place the coral on the trap door and it’ll keep its color. It’s like placing a block above a compost bin.
For the lily pads, I have placed an item frame directly on top of the warped trapdoor. Then, I placed a frog light inside the item frame. Other than that, my lily pad looks the same as the one in the tutorial. Keep up the awesome work, Cortezerino. ANd, take care. \o
I can't tell you how many times I cleared my inventory just to put the same items back into 30 seconds later. Try and do all like materials around the same time
I love this so much! I made it on my own survival world on bedrock. Wasn't able to find a solution to the coral issue, but it still looks amazing even without it
Dude this build is very hard in survival when u have few things, and I'm building this in my friends smp, it is awesome, but it's the hardest thing I've done, I'm sure FBI the axolotl who belongs to me will thank me, u r very creative,

Me and my buddies have a huge hard mode survival civilization server. Currently in the process of building the castle base for my hirohito era Japanese empire.
Building Tip: If you want to use or have less materials to craft. I suggest you only use the "stone" slabs when necessary. When he doubles up two "stone" slabs use a full block version instead. It should save you less time collecting and crafting.
Just copied this build with some modifications of 1.17 with the Azalea. I'd love to see how you'd make changes with the new update. Thanks again for this amazing build
For ppl whose coral doesnt work: instead of using the tiny brain coral, use the taller ones. It works! It does look a little different but it still looks awesome.
This is perfect! I wanted to make a place for my pet axolotls (unicorn, bubbles, and im still thinking of a name for the last one) Without having too put them inside a glass aquarium like most people!
If you’re on bedrock edition, for the Lilly’s, use the amaythist crystals instead of the coral. For the sea pickles on the stain glass, use brown candles instead since you can’t place sea pickles outside the water. Makes it have that brown tail look too!! Which honestly looks better than the sea pickles
For all my bed rock buddies😂 you will see you in the comment section that you cannot put coral on the fence without it dying this is only true for the flat corals that look like flowers. If you use one of the taller ones like the fire, coral or the tube coral, it works. however, because those are so large, my suggestion is to build your pond on a slope, using slabs to enclose some of the water so it’s not one hole block, high doing this allows you to put down coral that raises above the height of the water, so it looks like flowers sitting on top of the water if that makes any sense at all
