Roscoe is such a good dog. He sat in that canoe patiently waiting for you to put it in the water and then he stood in the bow with his ears up and nose into the wind. Always make me smile! Can you tell I am Roscoe's biggest fan? Naw, I didn't think so. Enjoyed the video.
Lissy is so right. Sometimes it takes these youngins to make us realize things. We love seeing Mr. Brody but not at the expense of his happiness. Enjoyed the vid. I'd be a nervous wreck in that canoe. 😱😅
Justin just wondering if you have ever used one of the rubber dip nets here in TN we fish for walleye from time to time and them blame teeth will get in them nylon nets something frice and thanks for taking us along
Good morning, it's Sunday morning and I'm watching you. It's a lot of videos. Looks pretty calming there. I love it makes me want to go out and buy a flat bottom Canoe and go get lost enough river. Something for a little bit infection. Just chill looks like, sounds like, just what the Doctor ordered.
One more brick in the wall!........That was cool seein that baby jack! I would say you should get Brody an aquarium to keep critters like him for awhile, but it would be a mistake. You will work yourself to death trying to feed predator fish. When I was a kid, we got 2 dozen largemouth bass from the fish hatchery in Meridian back in the day. They were all about 3/4 inches, except for three, which were 1 inch long. Believe it or not, within about 3 weeks, them 3 had ate every one of the smaller ones! They would each catch one of the little ones, usually during the night. I never got to see one get caught, but the three "big ones" would have a fish almost as long as they were with the head pooching their bellies out and half a fish stickin out their mouth. Within a week, the three were almost double in size. One jumped out and died one night, but the other two kept me busy seining minnows crawdads and tadpoles. They didn't like the tadpoles much at all, which surprised me. When they were about three inches and equal sized, and plenty of minnows to eat, one STILL ate the other one, swimming around for a couple of days with his buddy sticking out his mouth, slowly digesting him. He grew FAST after that! I threw him in a pond when he was about 5 inches long, because I could not keep up with his appetite!.. Long story, but a true one....
Well said by Lissy. I got a new Lab puppy for Christmas and wish I could get her to be just a little bit like Rosco. He is such a disciplined dog. God Bless you and yours. 🙏. Charlie.
Hey Justin! I think that you are on the right track with Brody. "Play is the work of childhood.", is a quote that has stuck with me. It was good to see you & Roscoe out running lines & fishing in the canoe. That was a lot of water coming down... in a short amount of time! Glad that wind driven sheet of metal missed you. (What a cheap adrenaline rush that must have been!) Those were some "respectable" Catfish in the cooler... but your luck with the "Brickfish" seems pretty constant! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
"Getting close only counts in Horseshoes, hand grenades, & nuclear weapons!", as they told me in the Army! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! But, all kidding aside... I'm glad it missed!!!!!@@SpiritoftheOutdoors
Living the good life! I sure would like to go crappie fishing here in NE Oklahoma. I hear they are biting. Love this video. By the way Justin I got my onions and potatoes planted last week. Looked up dark of the moon also. Thank you.
we have some invasive species of fish that get in our river systems here in va.-two of which are snakehead fish & silver carp-do you ever see them in your river system?
