You seem to have many of thought processes I do when it comes to electrical work. I won’t mention #8 on a 50 amp but I would like you opinion on is gfi requirements for EV in the 2020 NEC. Is that just outlets or chargers too?
Although it’s nice to see the electrician RUclipsr get flamesprayed, the customer is the real loser in all of this… not getting what he trusted the licensed tradesman to do what he’s supposed to do.
Im in Canada so code is a bit different, but #8 romex is good for 50amps provided itès not underground romex.Underground romex here has insulation rating of only 60 degrees, thus itès only good for 40amps.
Nice!

Hi Joe, I've done a few Rivian car chargers too. Is this EV charger a max 32A or 40A?
Where is the faceplate cable??
I have a Rivian EVSE and I believe it should be a 6 and not an 8.

Haha, who cares about the romex in conduit, the real debate is about red vs black first!
